@@djunsusteiner an artist needs funding bro. You can't just not sign with anybody if you want to do what you want full time. Disney's goals don't align with Dana's but GLITCH's do, simple as that. Artists thrive through restrictions but there's a difference between a restriction and just completely compromising your vision for the suits. GLITCH *could* theoretically do that once they're big enough but the point is they aren't.
Dana Terrace? The creator of The Owl House? Man, I was not expecting to see a big time show creator join indie animation. Man, disney is gonna have a run for their money if a show creator they've previously worked with resorts to indie animation. Glitch is truly becoming a big league animation studio, especially since they're working on digital circus, gaslight district, and a brand new show, knights of guinevere. I can't wait.

@Aelita3575 It’s a coming to age story. There is a lot of drama especially in season 2 with some minor horror elements.
@@Aelita3575Well it iiiiis on Disney and we know they have no problem with having a lot of horror listings these days. Wouldn’t really count the owl house though.
Literally the main reason I watched Owl House is, during the first episode, it very much had this vibe like Adventure Time...that, though the stuff in front of the camera is pretty light hearted, the stuff just out of frame was super messed up.
The way the screams blend seemlessly into the music is such a cool detail 😭
I like how glitch's shows clearly have their own creator's identity all over the place.
Murder drones is clearly Liam Vicker's ironic and witty style from cliffside
Digital circus SCREAMS Gooseworx's surreal and existential horror style
And this now seems to follow the same trend, as Dana terrace's style of contrasting tone (a heartwarming story about someone finding family in basically hell, now a horror story about possibly someone that believes they are in fairyland while killing everyone?)

Judging by the posters in the community post, she was most likely going to be a mascot for a theme park of course, so this might feel like a mascot horror from the monster’s perspective.
It’s like this teaser is representing Dana Terrace taking off the Disney gloves. I’m scared and yet intrigued on what she’ll do with total creative control.

0:10 The visuals and voice acting is very good but the music direction is underrated. The switch from the gentle Flute&Cello to emergency alarm mixed with mechanical sounds and a sinister undertone is what really sells it for me.

@Fathamster-s8c Dana is someone who made an amazing show that's a core part of my memory, the memories of my friends, and my little brother's memories. I'm a sucker for 2D animation already, I'm just showing my excitement for a new show :)

So i've done a frame by frame analysis of this and the two most interesting things i noticed are 1) when the robot starts breaking free from the bed, the cart to the right of the bed flies back without anything touching it, suggesting some kind of supernatural power in play, and 2) when the robots tendrils start flying up toward the camera, the girl on the right looks up DIRECTLY at the camera 2 frames before the tendrils even start flying at the camera, and after a couple frames of the tendrils launching at the camera she gains a shocked expression but she's still looking right at the camera, like distinctly at the camera and not the tendrils, so that makes me think something weird is going on where the camera is in that shot. Also fantastic art style and sounds and voice acting and everything, I'm so beyond excited for this.
There might be a security camera or other character who’s POV we are seeing, might be why she looked up.
I also did a bit of an analysis on this, though I focused more on symbolism stuff. The first shot in the dream? Coma? Thing? There's a stark contrast between the individual and the surrounding environment. The environment has a very warm feel to it, while the character is very cold, to the point they almost look dead.
The flowers were also interesting, seeing as most the flowers in the light were pink, orange, white, very warm colors. While in the shadow, the flowers were mostly blues, just like the person.
I did not have much to say about the lab scene other than the fact the tied down individual looks starved and half-dead, and that the scientists seem incompetent.

@@fluffcat5383 That's interesting, because I remember seeing on twitter, one of the people that said they were working on this had posted art of the "princess". The top portion of the portrait had all the plants, but further down it got more shadowy, with a bunch of weird blue eyes tangled up with vines. The color blue certainly has some sort of significance.

I mean, I didn't really like Owl House near the end, but I don't blame Dana for that, as her show wasn't allowed the time and pacing it needed for things to play out in a way that was reasonable.

Edit: I’m so excited to see the show. It has Dana plus John and Zack who also worked on TOH, I think this will be a really great show to watch. It’s not even just them, how the show looked based off this trailer makes it seem really interesting.

It can't be denied that an indie series coming onto Amazon isn't a huge step.

So something on the name of the show, for those who don’t know Guinevere is the wife of King Arthur/Arthur Pendragon (the guy who pulled Excalibur out of the stone) in welsh mythology and in the Matter of Britain. Considering it’s fantasy/horror nature I think it not to far fetched to see characters from a Matter of Britain or the knights of the round table in this show in some way or another
Just the fact that you got DANA FREAKING TERRACE to collaborate on YOUR platform really speaks volumes. Disney really did her dirty when she worked on _The Owl House_ , but now that she's free from their corporate restraints, Terrace can really shine.
Buckle up, Everyone! Indie animation is going to get even more interesting.

I have a theory that the blue lung disease causes the infected to be controlled and taken over by a sort if symbiote, but they think they're in a utopia and don't realize what they're truly doing. It starts in the lungs and moves to the Brain. There is a poster in one of the teasers that shows a skull and a brain, with the brain having horns poking through. This is what slowly happens to the infected people's brains. You can see that in the lab, the princess has scars on her forehead, furher proving this. She is in the lab because she is one of the few contaminated subjects they've managed to contain. The scientists are desperately attempting to find a cure by cutting her up and replacing the infected body parts with cyborg pieces. If the host to the disease starts fighting against it and becoming lucid, they 'wake' and start tearing themselves apart. This is why they didn't want her to 'wake', they want to keep her alive but not be in control so they can study the illness and contain it while saving her. Maybe in real life she's important for some reason (hence why they want to keep her alive so badly) or she's just one of the only subjects they've managed to successfully capture without dying. Just a theory

It works if you think about it. A glitch in a video game or program can be weird and unsettling, even creepy. But it can swing from off putting to funny when you begin laughing at being stuck in a wall, or characters t-posing.

I haven't seen the series but I never got the impression The Owl House was the type of series which had to censor gore stuff or whatnot

@@Wiziliz It did, though. It didn't censor it, but Dana had to rewrite some things to make it less scary for kids, as that's the audience Disney intended to air the show to. Dana on the other hand wanted to make a show with horror and gore, way beyond that point, a show for a more mature audience.
The way the screams become music again at 0:23 so fucking smoothly is insane! Amazing trailer composition and I can’t wait to watch this when it’s out !

The fact that this was created by the same person who did the Owl House is absolutely astonishing! Good for Dana for finally getting a huge project onboard glitch, and I'm looking forward into checking the new series out on whatever streaming platforms available on. I've never been more excited for any series like this!

i did not expect Dana Terrace was doing another show, but thank god she did. She blends wholesome, horrifying, and action seamlessly and with glitch being in on the show is a match made in heaven
