1:08 whatever One's doing, I don't think it needs to be concluded overnight. One is clearly trying to lead up to a climatic finale, and since the season is still only halfway complete, it makes sense why she's only brought up periodically.
1:15 I also don't think it does justice to call them "tinier plots that never got concluded" since what you brought up as an example just sounds like a typical character arc. These things take time to resolve, I don't expect them to be done with in just a single episode, just like actual relationships (good and bad ones), they cannot be rushed.
1:41 I don't know why Lewis has to be a season 2-exclusive, just because he hasn't appeared in seasons 3 and 4 doesn't mean he's completely driven off the show. For all we know, he could've spent the entirety of BFB (and possibly IDFB) living his own life. Although, frankly speaking, this probably WILL BE the last we've seen of him, that fall he took looked pretty deadly.
1:53 People miss the exitors, I personally still miss 8-Ball, so it makes sense why characters like Firey Junior would reappear again as small cameos, especially since we still haven't seen where half of them got blown away by the wind. It's pretty much comparable to the occasional TLC scenes that we had in season 1. Rejected contestants have fans too, and it's a nice treat to show the viewers what they're up to every once in a while. This logic also applies to the TPoT debutees who get compensated with more screentime, and the eliminated contestants in the upside down city.
but i just wish they would do ANYTHING with One, which recently they have not been doing, such a long buildup for what has currently amounted to almost nothing, conclude One's plotline BEFORE starting a new one, which they haven't been doing
Now that you mention it. I saved Donut because I wanted to know his secrets about Announcer. I started very closely paying more attention to his character to find out his knowledge but then it ended up making me like his personality instead. But my curiosity for how Donut is somehow tied to Announcer never went away and it’s so sad that it never gets acknowledged anymore. I just want some kind of conclusion but I’m not sure if it is likely. I mean there is so much that BFDI has left to wrap up, that we would probably need 3 more seasons just to get some kind of ending to each ark.
I disagree with the notion that it's BFDI's biggest flaw. The introduction of new content into BFDI isn't a bug, it's a feature of the show, unlike Inanimate Insanity where the story and development of the same locations and characters we knew from the beginning is the main feature (hence why it's coming to an end). For a seemingly-never-ending-show like BFDI, a steady balance between the introduction of new content and the development of intimacy with existing content is the way to do it. While I agree agree that TPOT 14 itself suffers the issue of being too fast-paced as well as overburdening the viewers with too much new content in line with existing content, I can't say the same thing with many earlier BFDI episodes, if anything I'd argue the lack of introducing new content is what made some episodes unimpressive, if not outright boring (like BFDIA 7 and TPOT 8). On the other hand, BFDIA 13 has nailed it in getting the viewers even more familiar with what's around Yoyle City, while TPOT 10 was phenomenal in both the development of characters and the solution of its existing arcs, as well as the unique introduction of the plot of One's abductions (and I'd argue that in TPOT 14, she's just simply trying to look for new "friends" since everyone is already well-aware of eliminated contestants disappearing), and no one felt overwhelmed by its introduction. That is what the writers of BFDI has achieved and should achieve, but TPOT 14 unfortunately fell short of it by tipping off to far to the "introduce new content" of the scale. So, in summary, this is exclusively TPOT 14's biggest flaw, not the entirety of BFDI's.
@@ThrarmClips Honestly, that feels like an insult since I actually spent time brainstorming for it… But it’s fine. But my point still stands. This is exclusively a TPOT 14 issue.
FINALLY someone said it i really did not like this new episode for most of the stuff you said; there was way too much going on in tpot 14. idk why everyone is saying “ITs PEaK OmGG ItS THe nEwESt sO ItS PEaK”
This is why i think idfb could be the greatest season in the entirety of bfdi Because idfb will most likely be much more charcter driven like tpot 1 and 2 instead of focusing on the challenge we will be able to actually learn about characters with little to no development (cake, eggy, roboty, etc)
The only issue with that is their character in BFB-TPOT could feel underwhelming in comparison. If they get a lot of focus or development in IDFB that's great but then they sit around and do nothing in later seasons it'll feel like it wasn't planned at all, which it wasn't
I always wanted there to be more world building in BFDI. For example: where do they live? Where are they on the world map? What's the climate of Goiky? Ect.
I think Yoylecity kinda helped with like the lore in bfdi in general, like it’s an abandoned city with tons of information and stuff! I definitely hope that we get to see more of it in IDFB.
I remember at the start of TPOT they said something like “TPOT is gonna be for better and more in depth storytelling”. I’m gonna be honest I feel like they lost that after episode 2 (after satomi stopped writing for it). Like they had what? Two maybe three plots running. And I felt like those plots were getting set up well. But now there’s just so much going on and honestly it’s kinda hard to keep up while watching an episode, so now I normally watch episodes twice.
If I'm being honest, most modern eliminations are what's most wrong with TPOT. For example: Remote Eggy Fries Coiny Puffball Teardrop Bomby Needle Eraser Gaty (kinda) All great character but all got out.
I can kind of see what you mean. I don't know if this exactly matches your point, but may I remind you in teapot 9. One got revealed and then it took like three episodes for one to have a former introduction to the contestants. With teapot 14. A bunch of fans's theories were flipped upside down because we haven't seen three since teapot 11. When people are making theories about episode 14 they were thinking something with three but that's not happening. (Also why did gaty have to go)
splitting season 4 in half, this is why season 4a is my least favorite season (although it does have my favorite episode of the series) and 4b is one of my favorites 4b only having 14 contestants that the ~15 minute runtime focuses on instead of SIXTY-FOUR that the original ~10 minute runtime had
Also they also do this with items like in bfdi merge OHH NICE A CONSOLE oof there it goes and in tpot WOW DIFFERENT KINDS OF YOYLEBERRIES that also gone
