First off…LOVE this eye look! Years ago, I thought it was overkill to have a separate undereye powder…until I found my holy grail. Once I found it, I’ve not looked back. It makes a huge difference under my eyes. I don’t even look elsewhere. My one and only love? Pat McGrath original in Light. I cannot love the powder more. It makes such a different on my old under eyes. My only complaint…the compact ALWAYS breaks before I finish it. The plastic hinge just gets stressed. I wish the brand would offer nicer packaging for it or a metal compact and make it refillable. (But of course the brand is currently focuses on making things worse and cheaper, not better and more luxe so that will never happen.) My Top setting powder: The Prada, hands down. I love it so much. I used Laura Mercier Ultra Blur before and I like still it, but the Prada is just next level for me. I’ve heard so many great things about the Guerlain powder that I will undoubtedly try it at some point. But I wish they’d put it out in a smaller size! My favorite finishing powder is Chantecaille Perfect Blur. I buff it on with the Sonia G Buffer Pro and it’s like photoshopping and smoothing my skin. I also like the Sweed Miracle Powder or the Guerlain Meteorites if I want more glow that day for finishing. I also finish sometimes with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish if I want to blur and also add a little, tiny bit of coverage if I’ve only worn spit concealer and no foundation that day. I love to blot with the LH Blotting powder in the summer. I also use it Every. Single. Day. To set my eyeshadow primer. The Upsalite in it really helps keep eyeshadow on my oily kids and it’s smoothing giving me a good canvas.
Can I please ask what concealer you use under the Pat McG eye powder? I've spent 3 years trying to find the magic item and everything I've used so far makes it all look worse after an hour.
@ Yes! I just pat a bit of it on my eye with a flat brush then use the warmth of my fingers to melt it in… and I powder next. I stopped using actual concealer under my eye when I turned 50. It just never looked good. This corrector is creamy but thin enough to not look cakey. It’s just enough to cover my darkness, but it’s not so peachy I have to put something on top of it. Then with the Pat Powder over it, it’s set, smooth and not powdery!
I’m so new to this that I don’t have a favorite face powder, but the Huda for the eyes is what I really like. As for facial powder, I took your recommendation and bot the Guerlain micro. Very excited. Hope I got the right color for me. Cross fingers.
I picked up the glamlite pink powder on black Friday bc of your review earlier this year. And the Tarte lavender because of Theresa. I haven't tried either yet but I'm excited to! current favs are the Nars light reflecting pressed setting powder, huda easy bake, and the nyx HD finishing powder.
Chanel's loose powder is my no. 1 for setting and blurring my face. No good for under my eyes. I am still on the hunt for something that works under my eyes. Old lady wrinkle problem. 😭
At some point I need to try the Chanel powder I guess. Maybe westman atelier vital pressed is perfect for you. It is sadly very pricy but it is super thin and was one of the few I was able to wear when inhale desert under eyes this year
I don’t use an under eye setting powder. I can’t find one that doesn’t immediately magnify all my wrinkles. Maybe at a certain age under eye setting powder is just not going to work.

@ I use the Bobbi Brown Color Corrector in the little pot. I don’t put any other concealer on top of it.

I just received the Glamlite pink powder in the mail yesterday! I hope I love it! I also have loved Guerlain powders for years.
Nobody talks about the clinique loose setting powders i have it in a slightly peach tone for years. It’s more then 30 gr of product. And i love it.
