My first time seeing Bruce Lee was in 1980. I was 7 years old, and we just got cable. Back then it was a very basic remote with about a 50 foot cord. My Dad was flipping through the channels. He stopped on a channel that had the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I watched a very ripped man move faster than anybody I had ever seen. It was the fight scene with Chuck Norris in "Way of The Dragon" I was instantly hooked. The next day I was throwing kicks and punches. Bruce was and always will be my main inspiration. I devoured anything about him and have and continue to study and live a martial arts lifestyle because of him. I love all of Bruce's movies, but Way of The Dragon will always be my favorite. It is all Bruce! He wrote it,directed it,choreographed it and even played percussion. Always my favorite!

@@CharlesDamianoBLC I live in Cleveland Ohio. I have studied Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Kun tao, kajukenpo. I also wrestled and did some boxing. My favorite martial art I have studied is Wing Chun. I have studied it for 6 years and love it! Because of the pandemic classes are on hold. Can't wait to get back!

I saw Enter the Dragon at the drive - in , in 1973. I was hooked forever and became an instant fan. Now almost 50 years later. I am still a huge fan , but that film changed me as a young boy. I have such a deep respect for the art of Bruce Lee and his legacy he left behind. Enter the Dragon remains my all time favorite film ever made.

Charles!! Happy Friday Brother!! Awesome collection!! Man, I remember vividly the excitement and electricity in the movie theaters during a Bruce Lee movie!! Whenever he used the nunchucks especially the double nunchucks in WOTD people jumped out of their seats!! The fight scene in ETD with O'Hara especially the backflip kick, again people jumping out of their seats. Like you said, there hasn't been that kind of excitement like that since!! Keep up the good work!!! Absolutely love this channel!!

I heard at that time that some guys went home & beat up their servants/subordinates along with weird screeches after watching ETD.Heh,heh,weird adrenalin effect! As they were not trained,therefore the strange kicks & punches had very little effect.so no one was really hurt!

Great collection, Steven! Thanks so much for this awesome Bruce Lee channel, Charles! I´m a new subscriber and a new fan. I can only imagine the excitement in the cinemas back in the 70´s and 80´s. I was born in the year of Bruce´s tragic death and still, only 2021 I was lucky enough to watch his movies for the first time in my life!! I am very impressed and love to learn about this exceptional artist and human. My collection consists of some stunning DVDs, two books about his workouts and - since yesterday - his yellow jumpsuit and shoes which I will wear during my own Calisthenics workouts. Very motivating! I´m into body weight training and the reason why I started to research Bruce Lee (only a few weeks ago!) was that he was mentioned in my other workout books several times. Of course I had seen some pics before and knew his name but I had simply no idea what (who) I was missing out for decades! Very excited to see your videos and to get to know so many experienced Bruce Lee fans on this channel. Greetings from an Austrian painter - maybe I´ll make some giant paintings of our hero?!

Hi Charles! Hi Steven! Wow from the past to present,awesome collection! The figures, movies along with Shannon,and Brandon items very cool. The Albums and books some I own. So nice to meet another fond collector from so far away. My first Bruce lee movie was the big boss in 71,it was at the Art theater on Jerome ave. And Tremont ave.I was 11, The theater crowd was quite until they broke his jade of promising not to fight. Oh my god when he began to kick ass,we gasped for air! When he pointed for everyone to pick up and leave with his finger and facial expression, we all stood up in our seats and screamed. Yeah! Wow! Go Bruce! A few people yelled, kick there ass Kato! I didn't know who that was until I saw the Green Hornet movie reel,then I remembered him from Batman and Robin TV show. Great memories from my childhood,the rest became history.Wonderful episode Charles,love the Choice of music. I now have 42 new photos from the jeet kun do fan club from Hong Kong from 1978-1980 I purchased from a big Bruce lee fan, some collectable magazines,and stamp collection. My inspiration

Luis thanks for sharing your movie experience from 1971! That is how it was and that is how it went down all over the world it seems like. But the New Yorkers in my opinion were like now others! Very vocal, very physical and really go into yelling as screaming as if Bruce could hear them. LOL hahahahah Many what great memories and experiences and what a great era to live through! To think we were able to witness Bruce Lee explode off the Big Screen when he was alive made it a whole different experience! Had to explain! Nice collection Steven. Nice to see one of my items on display what you purchased from me. The huddersfield etd Laminated Poster. Fantastic seeing in your collection. Keep up the collecting my freind as I am myself. Just a thought remember when the game of death was released in 1978 into cinemas. The cinema was packed on opening night but when bruce first appeared in his iconic track suit the place went mad clapping cheering standing up in the cinema shouting go on bruce, it was something I will always remember we had waited years for its release and the impact of bruce first appearing in god blew us all away.

As a kid my friends and I would go to the big movie theater to watch the movie and would go to the downstairs bathroom and challenge other kids because we all thought we were Bruce Lee lol

Yes indeed after a Bruce Lee film here in chicago, we came out the theater charged up , kick street poles each other ( depending on what friends you were with) very exciting indeed! Charles! yes ! verey one clapped hen Bruce hit someone, we all were charged up very animated after a Bruce Lee, movie I didn't have my Kung Fu shoes at that particular time but I did have my Converse All Stars, which work just as good when it came to kicking LOL, every one doing Bruce lee battle cry's and beating up their little brother LOL...

Awesome... Can you tell what you know about "The Bruce Lee Premiere Edition Universal Studios Figure Diorama Statue? It has a production run of 4800. Yet the prices are anywhere from $130 to $10000. Yet I can't find anything online to explain any reasoning on such a price difference. Hope you or anyone can help. Thank you
Carlos people on eBay can list an item for whatever they feel they may get for it! And some feel it all depends on what a buyer is willing to pay for an item that determines its value at the time!

Yes Zippo is a official licensed product from the Bruce Lee Estate it was licensed by universal studios there are many different Zippo Bruce Lee lighters very sort after by collectors very expensive now but quality items

Great collection Steven, thanks for sharing mate. The Blitzway statues are just amazing I'm gonna get the new WOTD one when it comes out. I wasn't alive in the 70's to watch Bruce Lee in the cinema at the height of the Kung Fu craze but I did get to watch Enter the Dragon on the big screen at the Regent Cinema in Blackpool at a special screening in 2018 and it was excellent, a night I'll never forget. Another brilliant episode Charles top stuff buddy 👏

1973 Sydney Australia - special theatre showing Fist of Fury to newspaper boys (and they were all boys!)- yes crazy, cheering and afterwards people jumping around trying to mimic Bruce Lee. From that moment hooked!

Wow🤩 I was locked in a trance from the very start. Those large scale figures, specifically G.O.D and some of small others captured the essence totally. Seemed like they real McCoy than figures ,brain totally fried 😁 . Extremely laid out and well done, the music perfect. I love watching Green Hornet as a kid, watching Kato kick butt. Didn’t know who Bruce was back then, his actions told me his name 😁 . I believe during one of the holidays, July 4, or Memorial Day etc mom took family, to 42st Times Square theatre. Saw all of Bruce Lee movies Chinese Connections , was have favorite until I saw G.O.D Before I knew it I was reading and watching anything,and everything about you Bruce Lee. As I got older I became hooked, on the spiritual,philosophical, the human side of Bruce Lee,as well as other aspects. One day as a kid, I went to movies by myself non Bruce Lee films ,met some cool kids fans like me. The following week I saw then again, glad to see them ,but they robbed me .took my movie money. Next week I hoped to see them again, but this time I had made a pair of nunchucks . Never saw them again,and the theater close the following week 😁 . Don’t have anything close to a collection, but I continue to have priceless memories ,more knowing, ,and appreciation and respect for Bruce Lee. 😎

Cool video Charles great seeing another bruce fans collections and Stevens was a joy to see the figures at the beginning were displayed to great effect. About seeing Bruce's movies at cinema I went in 1980 to see all his movies on the big screen the atmosphere in the cinema was electric everyone clapping cheering and shouting at the screen was a thing you never forget great times. @@CharlesDamianoBLC I have been a fan since i was 10yrs old after seeing one movie and been watching all of them over and over again becuz i never get tired of seeing Bruce lee.He was always refreshing to look at on screen with all that presence of energy and heroism.

Good evening Charles, I wanted to run some things by you, I had read years ago about two Caucasian stuntmen who were teasing Bruce during the making of a movie where he was doing the choreography and he got them to hold the air shield and he kicked both of them one at a time through the air into the pool and also Vic Dimone's had his bodyguard had reach over Bruce from behind and Bruce didn't know what was going on so he assumed he was being attacked and Bruce threw him to the floor and was going at him and had to be pulled off of him because they explained to Bruce later on that it was a mistake but I was told that Vic had told his bodyguard to test Bruce out and he almost paid for it, have you heard the stories and what do you think, there's more that we'll discuss later, 👊
Solomon II think I remember reading about that incident in either Linda Lee's book or Alex Ben Blocks book but I do not know how true the account was or if it even happened.
@@CharlesDamianoBLC the main situation with Bruce Lee is that he was 100% real guy, he was a real fighter, I read that during the making of the big boss the stuntman were used to gentlemen and ladies that use that Opera style kung fu, whereas Bruce Lee used that combat style for which he was accustomed to because he was a real fighter as well as an actor, thank you for the reply and you have a blessed evening 👊
