    *At **7:34**, was that the built-in IR for the DI out? That sounds like the guitar sound I’m looking for regarding recording. 🎵🏆 Thanks for making this video. I’m pretty sure you said “Straight into the DAW” but not sure. Thanks again!*

    Does this pedal simulate valve sag? Other boxes like the Blackstar Amped2 do that. That's one of the main differences between solid state and valve to my ears. And it's not something you can usually tell by watching a UA-cam video, it's something you feel when you dig in with the pick and feel how the amp responds, solid state amps are always very instantaneous. Thanks.

      I wouldn't know what it or isn't doing in the process all I now is there is no difference in playing this to actually playing my all tube heads. It's sounds great and feels amazing to play, I call it the bounce, and this little fecker is inspirational.
      Is that SAG? I don't know dude, iam I less sensitive to it? I don't know but I don't smile this much using any pug in or modeller. This thing feels great.
      I'd see if you can get hols of one and give it a go.

      @Christian right I'd say there is a compression in the IRF. It feels like my tube amp. Has alot of sparkle and will compress under heavey attack?

    • @Robstafarian
      @Robstafarian Рік тому

      High-gain valve amps typically do not sag, as "sag" is the amp's power supply temporarily dropping the voltage at various points in the circuit which would alter the gain structure of a high-gain amp. Instead, high-gain valve amps tend to compress in the preamp such that the front of the note is lost. I say "tend to" because their are exceptions, perhaps most notably Steve Fryette's (originally VHT, now Fryette) designs.

      @@Robstafarian yes, but that’s not what I was after. I wanted a more classic rock tone.

    I was looking at videos of this going “dammit why does nobody demo the cab sim” and stumbled upon this lol thank you. You reckon the tones would sound this good DI at a gig?

    • @PaulGlover
      @PaulGlover  Рік тому +1

      Or better, you'd dial them I alot more than I did here. This thing is amazing man, killer tones and no hassle. Plus it's cheap as......I love that I can do this with it, then go to a rehearsal and be in the room with a loud drummer, then hit a stage with it and still be told iam to loud in stage lol 🤘🧟‍♂️🤘

  • @franktriggs
    @franktriggs Рік тому +1

    How loud can this get? I'm worried about splashing the cash on something that can't hack it at a gig. We play loud, a Marshall 100 watt valvestate is only just loud enough. On Anderton's demo I clocked their sound meter just about get to 100 db momentarily. Thinking that's not going to cut it. Cheers.

    • @PaulGlover
      @PaulGlover  Рік тому +1

      I've played with a loud band at 5 and it was more than cutting through. Obviously without knowing how loud your drummer is I can't say for definite but dude, if he's louder than this amp pedal into a 4x12 then you need to get that dude a decaf lol 🤘🧟‍♂️🤘

      @franktriggs Рік тому +1

      @@PaulGlover Yeah, snare and bass drum gets mic'd up too, we're playing a few open air festivals this year, looking to lighten the load with this into a 1x12 cab with a Celestian Hot 100.

    • @PaulGlover
      @PaulGlover  Рік тому +1

      @Frank Triggs for open air shows and most, if not all club size dates this thing will be too loud for the sound guy or stage volume. If it was just this amp for big stage volume un mic'd I'd say go 4x12. But dude for rehersals it's LOUD and for gigs it's too loud for sound guys/stage volume. Hope you get sorted dude. 🤘🧟‍♂️🤘

    I think this pedal works best with either a cab or your own IR's in my opinion. The built in IR isnt great i feel it lacks some depth (from what i can hear on most videos i watched) i wish it had a better IR its a cheaper alternative then like a strymon iridium but i don't want to then pay extra cash to get an IR loader pedal haha ! anyway im done with my life story. thanks for the video !!!

      Craig do you appreciate how long it takes to put videos like this together? Also I can't please every body with individual wants and desires. This comment comes across very arsey and a bit rude to be honest mate. It's a 60 watt amp so the clean will be dead clean until about 40 Watts then will start to break up. The variables in clean tones and how clean you would like them to be at your desires volume requirements are completely unknown to me so please chill and understand how hard it is to do these videos for you guys so be kind.
