Spot On! Super agressive but man what a BBS shave! I have been using it to daily shave but given how close it shaves, I almost can do two days without a shave. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion.
Honest reviews with pros and cons are always the best. Other reviewers have said that Pearl razors are on the more aggressive side. I have avoided Pearl razors because I don't enjoy using safety razors with excessive blade feel/exposure. Since getting the Rockwell 6S, no other DE has given me a closer, more comfortable, and irritation-free shave. But it's gratifying to have so many options available. Your review will be beneficial to new wet shavers trying to decide on an adjustable safety razor that works for their skin type.
Hi Mully, you really mastered the shave with the Pearl Flexi. Among the Gibbs pattern razors the Pearl Flexi is shavewise my favorite. I had a shave with his russian cousin (HLS Taiga) this morning.
Good afternoon Mully enjoyed watching your review love your honesty and true reflection on how you feel about the Razor.i may have said before but I have the pearl flexi open comb and for me personally it’s pretty aggressive from plate 3 up to 6 that’s for me might not be same for everyone but I really like an aggressive Razor in my Den.take care all the best to you 🙂🙌👍🏻
Thanks for sharing! Yeah, I love the results this provides. I’m gonna try every single blade on this planet and every setting combination there is until I find the comfort shave with this.
Well, just know that even though it’s an adjustable, 1 on this has more teeth than. Rockwell 6C on 6. With that said, I’m finding that I truly like this razor. Great BBS results for me.
I like that you point out that you're just giving an honest opinion good or bad. There is one channel that I'll not mention which seems as though _every_ razor that the he reviews (for free) is the best razor out there. Seems more like a commercial ad rather than a review. .
I found this review to be quite insightful. I would be interested in watching a comparison between the T2 and Flexi razors. My personal gold standard is still the Konsul. I have found that it consistently provides me with a close and comfortable shave. I use a setting of 6 on my face and a setting of 3 on my head, and I have never experienced any discomfort. I would be curious to see how the Konsul compares to the T2 and Flexi razors. Perhaps you could try using a pre-shave product next time you shave and see how that affects your experience. Thank you for the informative review my friend.
I have one I got about 2 months ago and really like it. I just used it tonight with a voskod blade and got a great shave. I found it better if I start at 2 on the first pass and go up to 3 for second and 4 for 3rd or buffing. Incredible bbs here as well. The variant open comb, progress, and flexi give me phenomenal shaves. The only non adjustable that I can get the same level bbs is the timeless.95 I have both the scalloped and open comb base plates. The timeless overall gives me the smoothest bbs of any razor I have. Great job Mully
I've only used my Flexi a couple of times because of the rough feel even on #3. I thought it was just me, or the razor was a dud. I can easily use the R 41 with a feather blade, so Ill give this razor another shot. Thanks for the review.
I almost bought one when they first came out…still might buy one in the future. I like aggressive razors with lots of blade feel…I know they are doing the work when I can feel it. That’s why I use my Fatboys and Slims on setting 9.
Definitely a close shaving razor. Mine with a Nacet blade is extremely smooth. As long as you don't have any bumps. If you do you might bleed. I cut the mess out of a bump. It has no mercy. I take a little bit of the weight off with my fingers and go slow. It's the closest shave of any razor I have and I guess I have a hundred or more. I have the Merkur Futur also. It's a great daily razor for me. Even with a Feather. I have a medium beard. I just like a razor I can do one or two passes and be done. Don't get me wrong I can do two with some pickups with a Henson medium. I wouldn't use a feather with this razor. This one is much better than the Flexi open comb. The best purpose for it is shaving off a heavy beard. Everyone needs one of these. They need to daily shave with it for a week. Then decide if it's for you. Even my best Straight Razor doesn't do better. Use a good preshave. Thick layer of whipped cream and you'll enjoy this. Use an Astra Green first.
Hey, Richard, I’ve found I love this Flexi with a milder blade like a Bic Chrome or Gillette Silver Blue, and a 3-2-1 passing gives a shave so smooth it makes a baby’s ass feel like 180grit sandpaper.
Yep, I’ll give them a go. That’s one thing I’ll be doing is trying a bunch of different blades. I gotta try the Feather. Aggression + aggression might = a clean smooth shave, as odd as that sounds.
That thing is a chonky boy! Me personally? I can't get over copying another artisans design. I'd prefer to purchase the original makers item (Rex Ambassador). But I'm in the minority there too.
Nothing wrong with that at all, man. This makes me think of Matt P’s review of this vs the Ambassador. He said 2 things that have stuck with me. First, he said if you can’t afford the Ambassador this would be a good alternative. Second, and here’s the kicker, he said he finds it funny that the people that say they can’t afford it are the same people that have 25 tubs of soap in their den. Hehe!!!
Actually I’ve learned to not recommend, I give my opinion as to how it works for me. Personally, I’ve been using this for weeks now and have found keeping it under 4 and using a mild blade, it’s unbeatable. Some of the best shaves I’ve ever had. That may or may not work for someone else. Best wishes if you try one.
Great shave and review right there buddy. Fun to watch and extremely informative. Thanks for the video!
Thanks, Andre.

I still like this razor.

So many razors. I’m happy with this though. I’ll use it for sure.

Great review Mully. I appreciate your style 🙏
Thanks, Tobin.
Great intro Mully, a really genuine review well done. The razor does look very well made. That’s a lot of blade exposure 😀
Thanks. This razor isn’t made for kids, that’s for sure. You can plane a 2x4 with it.
Love that opening😂Great review, I like an aggressive razor so this one might be for me!
If you like aggression this will give you all you want. At least I think it will. That’s just my personally opinion.
Nice review Mully !!!!!!
Thanks, Chubbs!! I subscribed to you yesterday. Keep up the great work.
@@MullyShaves thanks Mully !!!! I hope have a wonderful Sunday!!!!!!!
Thank you, sir. Right back at ya.
I freaking died with the intro 🤣. This was one of the most tense movies I've seen 😅 the Flexi is one spicy razor
Oddly enough, I like it
@@MullyShaves you should try the open comb next
This is harsh enough
@@MullyShaves 🤣
We deleted that intro too. You’re one of the few that saw it.
Nice work. I love adjustables. That definitely shows more blade. I’m still on the fence about it.

I can definitely do the T2 vs Flexi
@@IBLarge I like this Flexi, but the T2 is my jam.

I’ll try 2-3-4 next time. You can’t argue the results with this thing. Great BBS.

In my opinion this will scratch that itch.
Nice review!
Glad you enjoyed it

Oh, I’m definitely going for the Feather….on 6. No pain, no gain!!
Damn over 100 razors. I've become addicted to buying razors. Their all so different. I'm a lightweight at 16.
Don’t feel bad, young Jedi, I have fewer than that.

Decent shave Mully, it is aggressive but try a perma sharp blade, they are my favorite and work well in any razor.
Yep, I’ll give them a go. That’s one thing I’ll be doing is trying a bunch of different blades. I gotta try the Feather. Aggression + aggression might = a clean smooth shave, as odd as that sounds.
This is my favourite razor. I always do three passes on a 2-2-2 setting irrespective of how many days long beard it is.
Fantastic. I’ll give that a try.
Use a dorko or a derby to smooth the razor out it will tame it a bit 😊😊😊
I’ll give them a try
What brush is that mully I love the colour
That was made by Shore Shave on Etsy. I bought that 7 or 8 years ago.
Wow, what a great review.
Thank you kindly! I hope I made it clear that it’s aggressive and rough. Hahaha! I only said it every other sentence. Haha!!

Had one when I just started DE shaving, returned it after two shaves, brutal !
Can’t blame you. I’m willing to put up with it for these results though.
You need to try the Outlaw Evolution, just as close of a shave without the Blade feel and harshness. IMHO.
So many razors, so few dollars in the wallet. Hahaha!!
Well, if you do lose that one, there's the one I sent you on the way.
Do what? Who? I don’t know what you’re talking about. (cough, cough) shhh!!
@@MullyShaves Oh... er... yeah... I meant that Other Thing. Yeah, the Other Thing I sent. That one.

Hahaha!! That’s perfect!
