To be fair SY were never exactly Black Flag or Big Black. And In some ways I would contest that, have you listened to Sister? That album is pretty fucking nightmareish.
Both bands are great but I'd argue that Sonic Youth's early stuff like Confusion is Sex and Kill Yr Idols are about as chaotic. And let's not forgot The Beach Boys are also fucking great.

As a fan of them I was excited for the announcement that they were getting a song for the show but I haven't started watching the new season yet how is it?
@@mothwintermusic it was really good, but it's so hard to write an end to show that good that's done so much unexpected things that weren't even in the seasons finales, Peaky would do stuff most shows save for cliffhangers in the 2nd episode loll and it became so popular then ended so I feel like the audience really wasnt ready for accepting an ending, but they do a great job
something kind of strange about this video, five years on. feels a bit like they're being marketed as some kind of attractive rock band, pulling funny poses in the tv and all that. don't get me wrong, they're an attractive band, but it's not girl band. very glad that rough trade now seem happy to let them Do Their Thing at Their Own Pace- even if it takes ten years for the Talkies follow-up, it'll be worth every minute. truly one of the all-time greats, i hope they get their critical reckoning.
