😢 absolutely heart breaking, We just never know If we should be terrified and searching, or if a person just makes a selfish choice and hit the reset button, obviously without worry of the effect on the children, her parents, siblings 😭😔🙏🏽 it's just what she chose.

There's never closure. Sometimes maybe justice but closure never. That's something people like to say to make media, cops or whoever narrated the story feel better.

@@dianedavidson7977 ok. I have ever lost someone and they looked for him for 5years not knowing he was murdered and disposed of in a forest. Good thing he had his id in his pocket. Which the police used to know who he was. We were sad but happy that they had found him, we felt some closure coz we found him and buried him. At least now we know where he is. That's the kind of closure I was talking about.

@dianedavidson7977 I think in some cases people mean knowledge to help one grieve the truth. For an example, the person who's loved one disappeared and years later, they find them in a car at the bottom of a lake. People will never be able to move on completely from that. But they are no longer searching and spending their time needlessly looking and worrying on top of grieving. They can know what happened, bury them, have a service or memorial of some sort, and grieve that death like they should have done years ago had they known what happened.
I did not watch the whole video but in the case of Mary Jane- her children may never know why she left them. But they know she moved and started a new life without them. She did not end up being those random corpses found that they would worry about. She was out living a new life. Well I mean she was dead when they found her but she had lived to old age and probably died of something more natural. They can take the truth and can process it properly now.

@@dianedavidson7977 Thats why i say some closure coz they can't get full closure. But at least they know where there loved ones are and can stop searching and wondering what really happened to them. They can visit there graves and finally be able to sleep peacefully knowing where there loved one is. and also the victim getting justice. It brings some little closure to the loved ones.

@@theoneandonlymoni6204 Couldn't deduce the meaning of my post huh? The fact she did something so drastic is what made me believe she left a horrific situation to be better off. Sadly 1930s didn't support abused women. They were left with the choice of stay and be beaten (possibly to death) or leave the kids and start a new life. If you're running from a situation where you believe your life is in danger you'd be a moron if you keep in contact with anyone from back home. You shouldn't judge without knowing facts. Perhaps she was a battered wife. In those days, it wasn't against the law. Maybe the husband was never violent to the children and she knew they'd be well taken care of. The hardest thing for a mother, is to give up her children. Maybe she was an alcoholic? You don't know. Not even going to give any credit to Crime weekly? Without them the DNA wouldn't of been tested due to not having the money to get the said test done. It's common knowledge so i just feel it would've been polite to give credit where credit is due. So many "jane and john doe" cases don't get solved due to lack of expenses... it's sad and maybe things will get better in time. Anyway please spread the word so people like crime weekly can make money to help these cases...or you could do the same

In the Mary Jane case, I know we shouldn’t judge. However, it never cease to amaze me that whenever women do something that might be considered wrong or hurtful to others, we always find an excuse for them. If a man ran away and left his family and wife, we would consider him to be some sort of a bum. If a woman does it, we automatically assume, she must’ve been abused. Maybe she was, we will never know. I just think it’s unfair to label this woman’s first husband as a possible abuser. Maybe she just fell out of love with him. Or maybe she didn’t like the circumstances of her life. Sometimes we make choices when we’re very young that later on we might considered a mistake. After all the woman married at 17! I make no judgments upon her. I just wanna show some compassion for the husband and family she left behind.

I would lay money down that she was being abused by her husband, and that's why. Back then, if a woman left her husband for any reason other than him cheating on her (and sometimes not even then), he would keep custody of the children, and she would not have the option to get them. Being abused, probably raped (and marital rape was legal until the 1990s in the US), everyone has their breaking point.
