Star Wars stealing from Dune for

#StarWars is one of the most famous movie genre of all time. But the Story of Luke Skywalker from Tatooine fighting his father Anakin Skywalker was more then just a little inspired by Frank Herberts novel Dune. The honest trailer from the new Dune (2021) about the chosen one Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) shows what Star Wars steals from Dune and how Dune continues to inspire the Star Wars Saga. Discover the honest and obvious connections like Sandworms on Arrakis or the Krait Dragon and Sarlacc on tatooine. Spice on Kessel as well as Melange on Arrakis, the Jedi Bendu and Prana Bindu as well as the chosen One Messiah prophecy and Fremen aka Tusken are resembled in both movies.

There is certainly inspiration from Dune but some of the best elements of star wars is the costume and uniform design (which is completely different from dune) , particularly of soldiers : clones, stormtroopers, mandolorian police & maolorian armour

The messianic motive and the hero's symbolic death are common traits in many myphologies. It's not something stolen from Dune, it's something they both borrowed from stories as old as humanity itself

Of course. It's kind of obvious that Star Wars borrowed some elements from DUNE, but also from Kurosawa and samurai movies, cowboy movies, etc. Like The Lord of the Rings borrowed elements from already existing Norse and other mythologic sagas, and everybody else "borrows" ideas from other cultures, previous books or movies. Every idea comes from something already existing.
