    I recently fasted for five days straight. It was easier than I thought it would be. It was so liberating to not constantly be thinking about food, and I had so much energy.

    As someone who practices fasting, you can feel the effects of ketosis by day 2 of fasting. That's because your body takes about a day or so to deplete the glucose stores in your system before it taps into your fat stores.
    For someone who doesn't practice fasting, it will take a while to go into ketosis because not only do you have to deplete your stores of glucose, your body isn't used to burning fat for energy yet.

      @@ANONYMOUS-po1dmwtf of course. Obese person is same as normal person, but with lots of body fat :D but for obese person you don't even have to fast to lose weight quickly. Especially for obese person fasting can be extremely difficult and painful experience. As an example, easier just to change heavy meals to soups and you start shrinking.

      Give take.. but not 5days, the giy just did his test on day 5 and assumed, ir juts said in video that he hitting ketosis, if on day 3 he checked it he would have been into ketosis. You stated by day 2 of fasting, and then the body took 3 days to learn how to ho into ketosis.. thats what you said😂😂😂

      @@shubham_srt muscle is in small amount. In fasting phase your HGH goes up to retain muscle.
      In ancient times there were no abundance of food. They had to hunt and they didn't ate everyday maybe twice or thrice a week. Agriculture came very late.
      Even breakfast is a recent thing.
      If muscle loss happened then human species were long gone.

    Why everyone looks fasting as a weight loss tool, it's even more than that. The most important use of fasting is to heal and repair our body which body does itself by tapping into the process known as "Autophagy". It is even capable of curing chronic disease and aliments. Fasting also has spiritual aspects too. So weight loss is just a by product of it. ❤👍

    When fasting, or water fasting, you will be sodium depleted, so take some salted water, at least one cup of salted water, you don't need a lot of salt, just gradualy put salt until you feel the salt taste, with this you will have more energy, sleep well and no headaches!

    I am fasting and I am at day 15, i lost 9 kg, my face acne has gone. My goal is to reach 40 days. I was 99,6 kg and i am now 90.6kg. Remember, at the first week you will lose weight like crazy but it's the water weight that is left. At the second week you will see the true weight lose.
    First week i lost 5,5 kg, at the second 3,3 kg.

    I was a beginner in May 2024 and i started ketosis
    I fasted for first three days and i got into ketosis and on the third day i also soiled my pants
    I lost around 10 kgs in just those three days but i gained back 2 kgs
    After that i did ketosis for yhe rest of the month and slowly lost 5 kgs
    I was around 92 when i started
    Bullying was the motivation for me to start ketosis.
    I am 14 and i am sure any teenager being bullied for his weight has the determination to lose weight.

    DAY 1:✔️ It was actually not that tough I did felt hungry but it was bearable
    DAY 2:✔️ It was fine in the morning but in afternoon my hunger was eating me alive and after my afternoon nap I felt very weak I was not even able to stand and walk properly

      Fat has 7700-8800 calories, when you fasting your body will be on low energy mode/efficient mode and use less calories, let say his body will use only 1500 call a day instead, he only have 10.5k calories deficit, which only 1.3kg of fat, even if his body still use 2000 calories, he at best lost 1.8kg of fat
      So the fact he lost 5kg mean he mostly lost water and muscle, then some fat. Also some hairloss 3 month after

    Finishing the same thing today. Honestly third day was by FAR the worst. I had insomnia that night, and my entire body hurt my eyes hurt, everything hurt. Almost stopped at that point, but decided to push through another day and take the decision the following day if the situation didn't improve. Surprisingly, all good.
    After that third day, I forgot I was fasting and was hyper productive. Flow state or something close to it every day, was amazing. As I am writing this, there are 17 minutes separating the me that can eat to the one that cannot.
    We're pretty much there!

    We jains have been doing fasting for 1 days to as long as 30-45 days.. Only water nothing else that too no water after sunset till sunrise.. This religious fasting is common in our religion and every jain has done some or other sort of fasting in their lifetime and it's completely normal and healthy

      @@rumi6396 While i was on ketosis, usually 14 hours minimum. Could go 2-3 days without food. Maybe coffee & dried nuts if i felt lethargic. Fruits also helped. I'd hive myself treats like a mini taco or pizza maybe every 90 days.

      You have to start slow make sure sugar is not high get your sugar under control. No sugar no flour. My last meal would be at 6pm and at 12pmI would eat again the first day that I did 36 Hours I hada light headache and leg cramps I always get them anyway not headache. I also had a transplant 8 years ago I take rejection medication and my cholesterols were bad sense I stared to fast I feel much better I have blood work every month they Improved I was having a rejection and is getting better.

      I also have low blood pressure. I do 16/8 intermittent fasts 5 days a week. Wanting to faint and having headaches is normal when you first start. Drinking alkaline water can help. My body is used to fasting now, so I no longer get the headaches and fainting.

      Brooo we jains have ritual or you can call a time period where ppl don't eat for 30 days to 8 days depending on capacity... Its not compulsory but jain ppl do this alot!!!

    how to make ✨bLaCk WaTeR✨ (cheap ver)
    Supplies:
    some water
    black food coloring (if u wanna make other colours then choose a different food coloring color!)
    Steps:
    1. get a glass and fill it up with water
    2. get the food coloring and add drops to ur liking (I would recommend 2-3 drops!)
    3. as extra, get some skittles ice cubes (recipe under this recipe) and do it in the glass
    4. enjoy your sweet colourful/dark water!! :))
    Skittle Ice Cubes Recipe
    Supplies:
    ice cubes tray
    water
    skittles
    Steps:
    1. open the skittles bag
    2. select 2-3 colours for each ice cube (if ur using small I would recommend 1-2 , if medium then 2-3 and large 3-4 and very large 4+)
    3. fill the ice cube tray with water and do the skittles in the ice cube tray
    4. wait for 4+ hours (if its a new fridge and u just installed it, then wait 12+ hours!!)
    5. if ur done waiting, get the ice cube tray out of the fridge and get some ice cubes
    6. fill a glass with some color water (recipe above) and do the ice cubes inside and then enjoy!!! it will make your water sweet cause of the sweetness of the skittles :))))

    Just a note from someone that suffered an ED from this type of method, this is not an efficient way to lose weight or burn fat, it will have more psychological effects than physical, dont starve yourself for the sake of losing weight, fasting and starving are two completely different things and the line is extremely thin, be careful!!

    Before anyone thinks he lost a lot of weight remember a lot of it is water weight which he will gain back.
    Taking into account some deets that I have, his daily calorie to maintain his weight should be around 2000 calories. Not taking into account his additional activities since food digestion burns calories as well and there are too many variables.
    To lose 1 KG of fat, you need to burn 7,700 calories.
    Since he didn't eat anything for a week his total calorie deficit was 14,000.
    That means realistically he lost around 1.9 kg weight (give or take a few grams).
    Also not all of the 1.9 kg is fat, he must have lost some lean mass as well.
    Now if someone else wants to try it, make sure you keep drinking electrolytes while fasting because it's safer that way. But tbh I wouldn't recommend anyone to go without food tho.
    Edit: I didn't watch his full length video so he might have talked about the points I made. But regardless people who don't want to watch his whole video can refer to this comment.

      Anyone who thinks his deficit was atleast 3k per day obviously has no clue about nutrition and fitness in general.
      Even if he has 2K maintenance there was no way he created an additional 1K deficit by his workouts because he wasn't eating so clearly he didn't even have the energy to burn off that many calories.
      Also burning 1k Calories by exercise alone is no child's play 🤦

    1) you will lose muscle
    2) you'll mostly lose water weight and such stuff
    3 ) the weight lost will come back as quickly as it was lost.
    4) you'll be left with loose skin.
