really glad to see some logging again. I do like the other things you do lately but the chainsaw related things is how I got in contact with your channel. really liked this one for sure!
Hey Wranglerstar, I had a unique situation happen: a hatchet which was split in half by wood. I have pictures and the hatchet I can show you. I was recommended to reach out by my uncle, who is a fan. He thought you might get a kick out of it.
Stop the video at 2:52 and look at the foot on your trailer jack. It is dangerously close to the ground. I'm not a "Safety Sally" by any means. Just making you aware of that Cody. I know what can happen from experience when the jack catches the ground.
Great to see you back at the community center property again. Seems like way too long ago that you were trying out the fence tools on a certain ponderosa pine and maybe mounting it up a few years ago did it in? Bummed I missed out on the livestream, but I write this comment no longer as an East Coast Man, but a No Coast Man as I am at our new home in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Stay blessed!
once a guy I worked with was too lazy to put the ramps back in their rightful place and just tossed em in the back of the dump it got filled with shingles and I went and took it to the landfill without knowing and we never saw those ramps again SMH..
I really enjoy these videos. I’m getting a bachelors degree in forestry and wildlife management and I’d totally love to do land management like this for a living.
give me a yell when ya find a hardwood tree....we can get some "East Coast" chainsaws out there buddy lol....great vid...jealous of the Mini EX!! So need one of those on my farm!
Dig around the base of the tree with the excavator and it will push over some pretty big trees and you won’t have any stumps to worry with. It’s about as quick as falling a tree with a saw.
It's great to see that your hip is healing fine. I wouldn't know you had a problem with the way you walk and get around if I hadn't known about your hip. Great news!!!(:>)
Awesome man. Love seeing people's vision come to reality. Just shaving in the road has changed it so much and it's gonna look awesome once that rock is in. Can't wait to see it.
Glad to see forestry video again, but I really miss the work you did with hand tools. Obviously your not going to build a road with hand tools. But some crosscut saw work would be nice. Seeing you work with your hands is the reason I subscribed many years ago. I think most people can relate to hand tools. Power equipment for everything not as much.
At 2:50 you can see the trailer jack nearly on the floor, get a jack that gets out of the way when you retract it and get some air bags or timbren springs on that truck, it squats a bit much friend.
Remember when Wranglerstar showed us how to use an old truck hood to drag a log? Cody, do you still have that hood? It would be fantastic to see that thing in the same video with $100K worth of equipment.
I bet it feels good to be mobile and chainsaw in hand. Glad your recovery is coming along. The road and setting reminds me of many summer camps as a kid. Great memories!
I believe I'm correct but I love the original Rayband Wayferer classics you have on!! I have the same pair and am always receiving compliments and absolutely love them!! Very stylish and masculine looking. Great video btw. Keep up the great work!! West Coast Guy
Hey, how’s Mrs. W liking the ARB bumper of the Forerunner? I’ve got a Tacoma and have been looking for something b/c I’ve moved pretty rural in Oklahoma and there’s deer everywhere.
My grill gaurd on my pathfinder worked great when I took out a deer a month or so ago. Best part is I was able To get it back to pretty Much straight and ready for the next one. Rural Colorado here.
Hey wrangler star I’m a 16 year old carpentry apprentice in Ireland and I’ve been watching Ure channel with a couple of years and I have been trying to get a set of oxidental bags but unfortunately their no place that sell in Ireland do you no how I might spruce a pair this is a big reach but will try anything at this stage
Are you fully fit now? Seems like you've gone from the stool to normal in a week! But then videos may be shot out of sequence to what we see... Anyhoo excellent to see you walking and climbing and kneeling without obvious issues
Probably a good idea to teach your helper to use the tip of the saw more. It’s not the safest thing in the world to have that long bar sticking out when bucking the small stuff. Good way to hurt your back and maybe get kickback.
Just wanted to say every time you ignore or push away Mamma Kitty it breaks my heart. See I lost my little girl Dec 2021 and Id give anything to have her with me again.
Nice video i will look forward to seeing your plans come together. I also want to give a shout out to Jeriah. You are lucky to have such a well rounded individual working with you.
Isn’t nice mini logging with a mini excavator. I just checked on having a grading bucket made for my grey market machine and WOW! $950 for the bucket $800.00 in shipping.
@@wranglerstar Then why did you try pushing the "standing... not quite dead" with the mini excavator as it would've pulled the roots? I'm and EAST coast guy and knew from experience that the saw was coming out as soon as I heard you mention pushing it over. Just a friendly (and Brotherly) jab from an EAST coast professional homeowner. Love your content Cody and your openness about you're faith. -Take care and prayers to you and yours.
@@wranglerstar well there in lies the difference then. Us east coast guys build our roads to be structural so we get that roots out of the ground so the ground doesn’t settle when the roots rot. We clear 500 to 800 acres a year in our grading and utility company and the stump hole doesn’t take long to back fill. Still love the channel and wish you the best.
@@wranglerstar It's not a bad idea - it's just not what you want to do there. Most people think of a stump left behind is a problem with maintenance etc. Without a full scope of the plans you have I have no opinion about your choices and just presume you're doing what's best for you. Culling trees is reasonably tricky, especially for a landowner who hires it done and depends on (their) expertise just simply because the creative process of it is elusive to them. In most cases they want the stumps gone and pushing the trees is a good idea to get them out. I think there is a broad range of regional/geographical differences in property development and what is common practice. Most in my area would push them all out and get rid of stumps too. Even in your situation. I see a drive/parking area your truck was parked on. Can you just move the topsoil to cover the gravel bank beside it/between where you're working? Just asking... it just seems a good way to use it(vs. move it) and grow something there instead of letting the gravel erode over time. Thanks for sharing
Loading on/off that low trailer isnt that bad- try doing it with a John Deere 350 fire-plow and a GMC 7000 25foot flatbed truck at 3am on a moonless night- im speaking from experience lol
Almost real loggers, just need to get a warratah processed head for the cat excavator great work though, those logs would make a good post and rail entry way once milled up.
love your videos, but why dont you get a sorting claw with hydraulic swivel to your excavator, its really handy and has a lot of uses other then tree work. other then that keep up the great work.
really glad to see some logging again. I do like the other things you do lately but the chainsaw related things is how I got in contact with your channel. really liked this one for sure!
I agree wholehearthedly. I want more forestry work for sure :)

Been a long time since we went to the tiny forest. Miss the fire side chats. Great to see you up and mobile Sir!
Leaving the stumps has me stumped….
In our 2005 cat skid steer we don't even have a backup camera, however it would be nice.
I became a Forester with no small contribution from this channel. Thanks!
So glad you've healed so well. Thank God you're able to work this hard.
When building a road here on the East Coast the stumps are always removed before laying down the gravel.
Dropped, bucked and split three trees today myself. Forestry is fun.

But you still have a stump to deal with, best to leave it in ground.
Excited to see the development of this property!
Really enjoyed this video Cody. Thanks for sharing! I'm excited to see this property developer and see all the good you can use it for.

I love forestry! My favorite type of videos by far.
The standard IT fix-it: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" A virtual cookie if you can identify that quote.
Great video. Thanks for bringing us along. 🇬🇧
Any update on the garden?
Can we revisit the timber framing and maybe another shot at a timber frame cabin??

Awesome seeing you really back in action, love your channel!
Your leg has healed really well ❤
Finally! Great stuff Cody. What initially brought me to your channel years ago.
Have you considered ‘white noise’ back up alarms? Standard alarms can be heard 100’s of yards away, especially trash pickup at 5 in the morning.
Cat mini started rough! Lol
Glad to see you walking!
Nice work Cody and glad to see you back in full action !

He has airbags, probably didn't fill em for just a short drive
I look forward to seeing this place once finished.
Happy Father's Day Brother!!
Is this project still going on?
We've been building our own dream at HazyDaysFarm in Central PA for 10 years. Truly satisfying to see the progress you're making at your dream.
Only saw a small bit but you were running that grading bucket like a champ

take that organic top soil home for Mrs W's compost.
Should do a video on how to properly secure a load especially stuff big like the CaTs… always love the logging videos!!

can you do a video testing out Klein heritage scissors ✂️
I bet it feels good to be mobile and chainsaw in hand. Glad your recovery is coming along. The road and setting reminds me of many summer camps as a kid. Great memories!
Might want to move that grease gun, that hose end is wacking the cylinder rod and will eventually chip the chrome and cause a seal to go bad.
What’s the solar panel on top of the skid steer for?
It charges my hydraulic Loctite dispenser
Sounds like the saw is running a bit rich, 4 stroking well into the cut.
Camera dynamic range👌

why don't you take all the organic matter and use it to mulch your new garden or fill the raised beds?
How are you liking the excavator, any reviews on how it's been working out for you positive or negative feedback.
I thought he got rid of it
Love the logging videos 😁

It'd be cool to see another project like the work bench bench, or poor mans tools again. Wither way ill definitely be watching. Bless you all!

Cody do you not retorque the wheel nuts on your trailer before use don't trailers need retorted every 500 miles?
How's the leg, Cody? You seem to be getting around really well.
Real loggers don't need a exavater to fall trees..that's just playing around the house for something to do,,,!!!!!!!!
Is that Mount Rainier?

Hey Cody, great job on the beginnings of the road in the small forest. Quick question, what is the rack on the front bumper of the F3 50?
O think it's a bike rack.
No shotgun on the widow-maker this time, eh?

Some successful men buy sports cars, some buy dump trailers and CAT excavators.
Nice. Was not able to watch all the live.
Will not let me correct.😳. Very nice.
Multiple trips to grab CATs? Time to upgrade the trailer to a Professional Homeowner++ sized trailer.... Beautiful land though!
