Thanks for posting this! I've been searching for someone who has actually used one of these machines or similar to post actual real-world issues, solutions, opinions, etc... Great information!
I have the same unit and have replaced the fluids and cleaned out the carb. Got mine for $5500. I've only ran it for .4 hours so far with no issues but I fully expect to. You may find the thumb screw for the fluid cooler down inside the machine. Sounds like you've had a few issues already. Thanks for sharing.
I recently bought exact same machine new at auction for $5,200 new. However engine would not start after changing fuel and pump. Now blows white smoke. Pulled engine and will check rings and such inside engine. Mine only ran about 10mins before issues.
You ever figure it out? Mine started doing that I think someone put to much oil in it and now it’s in the exhaust. I pulled the exhaust and there was a lot less smoke.
On draining the oil, it won't drain through a hydraulic hose very well anyway. Wrap a rag around your air nozzle and pressurize the crankcase to blow the oil out into your jug. You could use a Jic 90 degree fitting too. Make sure you only use very low pressure to just what it takes to push the oil out. The sound will tell you the thing is drained. Excess pressure would potentially harm an external fuel pump or the diaphragm in a small carburetor. It will go uphill with air.
Are you sure the fuel pump was the issue? I had stalling problems with mine also and found the fuel line from the pump to the carburetor was pinching when heating up. The problem always occurred after running for an hour or more. My theory was that the heat caused the rubber to soften and then it would kink. I changed the fuel line and the issue seems to have gone away.
This response was a month ago. Is the issue still resolved, simply from the hose change? I just bought one of these and I'm having the same issue. My stock fuel line from the tank up, seems like it is deteriorating so I'll be upgrading it. I also thought about running the hose up a bit higher and then down to that 1st filter. I'm hoping to create a bit of a siphoning action.
@@mikedesilets3324 I eventually changed the fuel pump and filter. The filter was plugged. The issue has now gone away and it has been running quite well now. As to the original problem, I would say that it was definitely a combination of the fuel line kink and filter being plugged. Not sure on the fuel pump but many posters have indicated that for them this was the issue. If you’re going to change the filter and fuel line, for about 20 dollars and an hours work, it would be wise to just add the electric pump. It must be low flow of about 2-4 psi.
The fuel tank had metal in side it and was blocking the fuel from the line and over working the pump. Run a good magnet in the tank and that helped a lot.
I pushed the tilt bucket cylinder to its limits and broke (Gland groves were severely damaged) im waiting for a replacement from ebay ,choose to upsize the rod from 1.25 to 1.5) ,otherwise I really like this machine
Where did you find what all the different models were? I cant find it anywhere and fhdy are all so similar. I am looking yo buy the 380T, do you know much about it?

Yes I have. You should change out the fuel pump made a massive in how the machine ran!

I do something like that with my dd15 engine to prime the fuel when I change filters. Did not even think of doing that with oil. Thanks man!

@colinodonnell8480 Thank you. I appreciate the detailed response. Ya I have concerns about over fueling.

@@adventureswithtravis9847 Great tip. I never thought about a magnet. Thanks.

What is the track width of the machine? Same as bucket?
Idk I can check in a few days for you.
I have one just like yours just looks different but same engine could I bug you for a part number for the fuel pump and oil filter ?
Let me do a little research and I we’ll post a video in the next week.
How much fuel pressure is the pump you put on?
Where did you find what all the different models were? I cant find it anywhere and fhdy are all so similar. I am looking yo buy the 380T, do you know much about it?
I spent alot of time online there was never really a good place I found
What size fuel pump did you use?
Small like 2-3 gal a min
how much hydraulic oil you have to put in?
do you know what oil filter you used and oil?
It was around 6 gallons.
I used the filter that came with it. 10w30 is what I used. It said that in the manual
Tissues man tissues..... hope you feel better
Doctor said it was allergies… something else to deal with lol.
I saw anti social Nick. Lol
