Been watching your videos since your Cougar Headset stand video and this video got me subscribing! I love your humor and the things that other reviewers do not tackle and show! Good job! 🙌👏
You are amazing! I love this review and the way you troubleshoot with ideas. You did not waste a lot of time with unnecessary stuff and got right to the product features. Excellent job. Thank you! New subby.
CR2 batteries are everywhere, Amazon literally has them in their Basics range. I change hundreds of these batteries per week as I work in the security system industry. The best brands to go for are Duracell and Panasonic. Varta is a budget brand and won't last as long. But at ALL costs, AVOID "GP" (Gold Peak). These cheaper-than-cheap batteries are junk and will be flat in less than half the lifetime of the others.
Thanks you for your expertise, I am sure it might actually help someone pounderig what battery to buy. I was thinking of trying to make a battery test video someday, but with different discharge speed performance also changes =(

It's rated at 1.0 kgf, I couldn't find a "viewer friendly" way to describe it. I have used it on a heater that has rather tough buttons (actually have to press pretty hard) and to my surprise it turned it on. I thought of using scales with the SwitchBot pressing on them for the video, but it's probably not that accurate and most can't really replicate the force to experiment =( If you have any ideas on how one could show this, I would be eager to make a follow up!
huzzah, a solution for the stupid idle "shutoff every two minutes unless you hit a button every two fucking minutes" in in my truck sure it uses 0.001% less fuel than if it ran for an extra 5 minutes but think about all the extra money spent on the wear components from starting the engine a million times more
Hey, yeah I think I used the HUB for it as it allows for automation sequences. Sorry for the long reply, don't get to check UA-cam often with the whole ordeal we are having here in Ukraine :D
What exact task do you have in mind? I tried 4 different auto clickers for Android and 3 of them didn't work very well. There also needs to be a small delay for the SwitchBot to function properly or you will have a queue of clicks.
They have releases API, so it might be possible to find someone on Fiverr to make a custom solution for a small reward. 20-30 seconds shouldn't really be an issue for auto clickers, unfortunately I can't test due to lack of iOS devices :(
@@CRANEREVIEWS Thanks for trying to help, I contacted customer support this morning and they were able to send my bot a beta version that has those capabilities. Thanks alot and great vid btw

If I manually operate the light switch. Does switchbot know that the status changed?
How much force does it have? Say I have a hard button that needs some pressure to be pushed could it do it?

Clever idea!
At 1:05 how do you get it to loop and autofire? My buddy bought one and it won't do it. Does it require the Bluetooth hub to do that?

@@CRANEREVIEWS Thanks bro! 👍
Я так зрозумів ти Українець, чи можеш сказати як я можу підключити цей девайс так щоб я мог керувати ним з за кордону, чи підтримує він WiFi?
Can you have it hold a button down?
can you make it repeatedly press a button with only giving one command?
Thank you for this detailed review
My pleasure! :D
Can you schedule it to turn on the switch at a certain time and turn it off at a certain time?
Yup
@@CRANEREVIEWS can it be used outdoors without Wi-Fi ? I would like to automate daily watering system with dumb button that needs to be pressed.
@@whitecrowuk575does it?😊
Got to get me one of these!!!
Yeah, exactly my words when I found out about these just a month ago :Р
Awesome video, thanks! Planning on getting two to automate my projector.
Thank you, sounds like a great use case :D

I'm just kind of curious did you film all of this footage or get some of it online?
Some of the footage (the cat for example) came from SwitchBot's promo trailer).
