I'VE BEEN WAITING... FOR YEARS... TO HEAR AN ORCHESTRA VERSION OF THIS!!!
NOW I CAN FINALLY DIE IN PEACE!
Don't!!! There is still Low Man's Lyrics and Suicide & Redemption to be done
No yet, we need a live performance of Fixxxer
Not yet! At least until they play it live!
Definitivamente, tienes razón y comparto tu sentir! Y creo que debe suceder la interpretación en vivo!
You said exactly what I was going to say. This is a banger! I can't believe Metallica has never done this. Such a winner.
I'll never understand for the life of me how anyone could hear Fixxxer, or Outlaw Torn, or Bleeding Me and tell me they're not heavy. If you can't feel the heaviness in this then I don't know what to tell you.
Metallica MUST hear this (and the other songs of course).
No they nees to play it live first then make s&m3 and put this on jt
@@kajg3134 maybe in 20 years lmao
@@kajg3134 truth. They have to play it, and any other song they haven’t played live before they’re done. It’s there destiny.
If Lars doesn't decide to DMCA it first, just sayin
@@kajg3134 they did it
OUR PRAYERS WERE HEARD FELLAS😭
I don’t care what anyone says (including members of Metallica) Load and Reload were amazing albums. I became a fan at 13/14 (1996) by my best friend in 8th grade and listened to the entire back catalogue, but when load dropped in 1996 later that year, I really liked it when everyone else hated it, and when they dropped ReLoad I loved that even more. At that time in 1996-1997-1998 I thought it was some of the most amazing music I’ve ever listened too. There so much pain and therapy in those songs, the loss of Burton, the battling of alcoholism and growing up in a broken home, really spoke to me at that time in my life.
I agree with you. I was 19 at the time and totally in love with them and their back catalogue. What I appreciated was that they always evolved their sound, not giving a f*** about fan services (in contrast to other great bands who relied too much on copy and paste). What I liked about those albums is that there was the same rage, only suffocated. This created a constant tension, which sounded as heavy as Master of Puppets. If I have to find a limit in that session, I just think they kept too many fillers. If they selected the best 10-12 songs, that would be a great album. Unfortunately, too many metal heads don't cope well with sound evolution, and those albums were not well understood. Said that, I think that both the albums were way better than Death Magnetic, which heavily relied on riffs from the thrash days in the 80's. In that album, the only song that surprised me was the one that I would expect to be the least original: The Unforgiven III. I thought they would recycle again the theme, instead they created something completely new and great. However, with Hardwired they demonstrated to be still alive and creative, writing a bunch of great modern thrash songs, including that masterpiece named Spit out the bone.
Lol are you me? Pretty much the same for me
So agree man! Same story here, and up to date, Fixxxer is still my favorite song of Metallica, and they are still my favorite band of all time haha
Dude, are you my twin brother I never met?
The song that really got me into Metallica was King Nothing when I was around 10-11. My dad played the guitar and listened to a lot of metal, especially iron maiden, and he used to play songs like nothing else matters and enter sandman, so I was familiar with a lot of their music, but it was only really when I heard king nothing I was sold to that kinda music.
I really love Metallica cause they have all kinds of different music. Some like some albums more and others like other albums, ya know.
They have some fast hard pounding thrash like battery, some slower heavy songs like sad but true, some quiet songs like nothing else matters, some more heavy ballady like fade to black etc etc.
That’s what I really love about Metallica... Whatever mood you’re in, Metallica has the music for it.
I will pray for S&M3 to hear this live.
Maybe 25 year of it
I live in San Francisco and I've went to both shows one and two the crowd and the arena how it comes to life when the orchestra is with them absolutely 2 awesome shows🤘👍☝❤
@@jeffmusgrave6467 how is City by the Bay now It all mess up like NYC where I'm
If they do s&m3, unnamed feeling would be a great song to play.
Hopefully it's less than 20 years from now
I'm literally crying, it's so good.
I can't wait for Suicide & Redemtion along with Low Man's Lyric!

I'm with you
1. Holy crap this sounds amazing.
2. Holy crap I forgot how crazy good the melodies and grooves in Fixxxer are.
We refer to this as underrated.
Lyrics:
Dolls of voodoo all stuck with pins
One for each of us and our sins
So you lay us in a line
Push your pins, they make us humble
Only you can tell in time
If we fall or merely stumble
But tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or fix this hole in a mother's son?
Can you heal the broken worlds within?
Can you strip away so we may start again?
Tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or cut this rope and let us run?
Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free
You jab another pin, jab another pin in me
Mirror, mirror, upon thy wall
Break the spell or become the doll
See you sharpening the pins
So the holes will remind us
We're just the toys in the hands of another
And in time the needles turn from shine to rust
But tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or fix this hole in a mother's son?
Can you heal the broken worlds within?
Can you strip away so we may start again?
Tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or cut this rope and let us run?
Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free
You jab another pin, jab another pin in me
Blood for face, sweat for dirt
Three Xs for the stone
To break this curse a ritual's due
I believe I'm not alone
Shell of shotgun, pint of gin
Numb us up to shield the pins
Renew our faith, which way we can
To fall in love with life again
To fall in love with life again
To fall in love with life again
To fall in love
To fall in love
To fall in love with life again
So tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or fix this hole in a mother's son?
Can you heal the broken worlds within?
Can you strip away so we may start again?
Tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or cut this rope and let us run?
Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free
You jab another pin, jab another pin in me
No more pins in me
No more, no more pins in me
No more, no more, no more
No, no, no...
That's some poetic stuff there
God, I love those lyrics
Load and Reload have the best lyrics in Metallica's discography
@@mymom5213 I don't know about that. All album up until Jason's departure had some great lyrics sprinkled throughout. The Four Horsemen, Creeping Death, Disposable Heroes, One and The God That Failed are some great examples.
You can't expect anything bad from this guy, absolutely amazing work. Such a shame that they never played this live let alone with symphony
aynen knk
@@sejn195 that’s true. People get sick of popular songs quick, that’s how the music world trends.
It's very hard for James to sing live, since it is such a high pitch with the vocals. The group played it for M-40 and you could tell James was struggling to hit the high notes at times. He did a good job, but it was obvious that he wasn't happy with his performance.
Time to do the live version now Ben.
He might be leaving this behind, but here's one I did with Ben's symphony. ua-cam.com/video/gwy5FmnJizQ/v-deo.html
Justice to the Metallica, to Fixxxer, to the fans... Finally, thank you very much. What an end !!! Keep it up!
I can't believe they finally played this masterpiece live
me too
Unfortunately it wasn't good.
2:10 I always liked the chorus on this song. Man, you made it so much better.
The greatest Metallica hidden gem shines even brighter
Now all I need is Low Man's Lyric orchestra version and my life will be complete
Where the wild things are
To listen to it is to feel that you touch something from parallel universe, that you do something illegal. The thing that twice impossible in our universe. Fixxxer never played live now in S&M version. Thousands time Thank you!
OMG!! my dream song ... I live totally obsessed with this song by decades (Now I know I'm not alone).... we need to push Metallica plays Fixxxer on Live... this song deserves that... next mission: Where the wild things are
I'm with you with where the wild things are! lml
gues what
@@daniloarias5317 I know … I can’t stop to cry
I was given the CDs of Kill Em All and Reload as a birthday gift. Yes, both at the same time. I was initiated to Metallica's work in the least typical way. Fixxxer is obviously one of the first songs that struck me for its arrangement.
This is another childhood birthday gift for me. Thank you, amazing work.
I got Load and Ride the Lightning for Christmas once.
Jajajaj it's almost a diferent singer or band
That's probably why we appreciate the Load/Reload days, because we started with them. My first real exerience with metallica was Reload, Load, then worked backwards. The people that only listen to the first 3 are missing out.
@@MsJhosepxd It really is, but in a good way. It's fascinating hearing his transformation
I actually am in love with this non-live S&M version, you definitely outdone yourself once again. Such a pleasure to listen to. Great job man
YEAAAAHHH!!!! The Zimmerman has struck gold and given the people what they want. You have Fixxxed the problem people have had with this song for years- it never got the S&M treatment. Until Now!! Finally, the final track in the "Titanic Trilogy" from the Load era is orchestrated. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, and now Fixxer joins the trio in a brand spanking new orchestrated outfit. A Gigantic thank you for this experience. It sounds epic, mighty, powerful and strong.
YEEEAHH
You nailed the “Titanic trilogy”. Those are my three favorites from this sinfully under-appreciated era (“Bleeding Me” being my top favorite Metallica song ever)! I really wish we could have gotten OVERLOAD with “I Disappear” and studio recorded versions of “-Human” and “No Leaf Clover” on it before they moved onto the highly disappointing ST. ANGER.
@@FlawedCoil82 Ive always thought those 3 epic songs back to back to back tell a brilliant journey and personal story. Bleeding Me is the beginning, when you feel whatever affliction hits you, as you reflect and 'dig your way to something better". But Outlaw Torn is the long epic road to that redemption, a lost highway, dusty path through mountainside and open plains, as depicted by the stunning S&M version.
Then "Fixxxer" is nearing the final hurdles, near the endgame. Looking more within and back on things, as you ask if you can "strip away so we can start again". For nigh on 25years Ive loved listening to those 3 songs inna row, now they sound even more complete with the rendition of Fixxxer.👍👍
Criminally underrated song, but you did it justice! This is absolutely amazing! 👏🏼
😍
Omg this is what we've wanted for decades. DECADES.
Awesome job!!!
Now THIS! THIS! IS! EPIC!
This is wonderful, one of the best works you’ve done
Thank you!
Man... are you God?
This is so fucking incredible man
Song choice: 100/10!!!
I think this deserves a remake once the official live version of Fixxxer gets released (Yes, they played Fixxxer for the 40th, in case someone missed it so, Spoiler Alert)
I'm on it
One of the most absolute underrated songs by Metallica. It’s there destiny to play this song before they go.
They did, my friend
Does this kick ass or what? This is truly AMAZING! I don’t care what you say, Load/Reload is a true masterpiece of the music world.
holy shit man, you should definitely look into making alternate versions of your tracks with the studio versions. this is really fucking good.
I think this one worked so good because it is almost live with only two guitars (left/right) on the album. Also both play kinda different stuff.
@@BenZimmermannMusic I actually think there are more than two guitars in the chorus. Sounds too layered to be just two. Not that it isn't possible to play it with two guitars only
@@maxzubic It's mainly two/four guitars. But of course there is some sounddesign. In the chorus is a guitar which does some "wah wah wah" to whole time.
@@BenZimmermannMusic I think it's the load/reload album mix that makes it work! Both albums have great almost live sound
Now this need s the live version
Here's one I did recently with the live version, although I did have some slight syncing problems with the xylophone in the latter half of the song. ua-cam.com/video/gwy5FmnJizQ/v-deo.html
I would love an orchestra only version of this song! This is one of my favorite underrated Metallica songs of all time!
Beautiful! This has always been one of my underrated favs
This was the first Metallica album I bought all the way back in 97. I've always really loved this song. Can't believe they've never played it live.
This is a gem that I can't understand why there is no live version nor S&M version. The world now owes you a lot, mister. This is GOLD!
It awesome amazing friend
Search Fixxer live on UA-cam and they have somewhat recently performed it live!
@@kvpc11 yeah. I've watched it too. Goosebumps
ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE
Next year will be Reload's 25th anniversary .... the boys have to know we are dying to hear this song live by now!
Man, this was just perfect. Enjoyed every second of it. I remember in 98, trying not to move a lot so the CD player won’t skip, listening to this song and being floored. I never thought you’d do it (and now I’m even daring to hope that someday I might be surprised with Carpe Diem Baby or Low Man’s Lyric)
Fixxxer's slide/wah/bend-thingy in the intro is one of the most badass things ever put to tape
THIS IS SOOOOOO GOOD!!
Holy hell this is freaking amazing! Fixxxer is my favorite song of all time and my God, you definitely made it even better!
One of my secret favorites!
He did it. HE DID IT 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
im sitting and crying now. with a smile on my face. thank you

It's a very personal song for James, I would also love, it but we need to respect his decision!
OMG I have waited since 99, for 22 years :D
Wow
You've completely changed the way I hear this song 👌
Just as i expected! Great!
liked for your profile pic
the fact that its da studio version makes it 10 times bettr
Thos kind of logo for the load S&M's are magnificent by the way
Absolutely amazing! This is your best work yet! Been a Metallica fan all my life and through every album. This song... what you did... no words... Thank you for this!
Fixxxer is a good songs, one my favorite metalicas's songs.. love this so muchh... thank you...
You definitely took the revenge of that song and made it absolutely awesome...what a hell ! That was really amazing budy! You finally did it 👍
This song is masterpiece, even better in that version with full glory of the orchestra!
I listened to them in the womb. My father listened to Metallic when my mother was pregnant with me!!! Batya then listened to Metallica on babbins, on cassette and on a venil.
How James said: NIIIICEEE!!!
Amazing work on a great underrated gem! Thank you for your beautiful arrangements on the song
This is incredible. Need a "Where the wild things are" symphony version next.
I need FLAC of this!!! To hear it in full quality
omg!!! this is brutal!!!! THE INTRO IS BADASSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man you are absolutely insane. This sounds magnificent. If by any chance you do requests, consider doing Where The Wild Things Are. Again, congrats this is excellent.
So bummed they didn't bust this out for S&M2, but thank you for this. Love the end of the song. Well done.
This one touched the SOUL AND PRESS THE TEARS BUTTON......THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!
this has become my favorite song of all time thanks so very much
Damn I just realized you posted this on my birthday!
The best birthday gift ever, thank you sir.
One of the greatest songs in their catalog and with the orchestra it just adds another! To every song that this band has done👍👏💯🤘
Oh my god what an opening !!!
Sounds *amazing!!* great job!
This is so amazing that you literally made me cry just with the intro.
THIS IS SO GOOD AND SOUNDS STRAIGHT OUT OF S&M ITS SO POWERFUL I GOT CHILLS
Some cool ideas I'd wish I'd thought to do in my rendition of it. ;) Nice job.
Congratulations, you've spoiled me. I can't listen to the original without coming back to this version, you did an amazing job!
yeah!
ABSO - BLOODY - LUTELY BRILLIANT!
CHILLS RUNNIG LIKE THE FOUR HORSEMEN UP AND DOWN MY SPINE DURING THE WHOLE SONG!!!
Load and Reload should've been Symphonic Metal albums. It works perfectly!
Finally thank you thank you !!!!! this is so great .... I have tears falling down on my face
Oh My God.. this is BEYOND anything I could have ever expected! So breathtakingly perfect!
The only thing better than this would be hearing it live. Well done, a million times over! This is pure gold.
I heard the first 10 seconds and already have the thumbs up.
Wow. Your arrangements are way better then original S&M! Respect.
This is fucking awesome!!!
It's amazing man it's just great
You were New Hope. After this song you are Fixxxer: The Rise of Zimmermann. Great job. Greetings from Poland 💪💪🤘🤘
HIGHLY under rated song of any album
Flawless
Definitely need to hear king nothing S&M 🤟🏻
Thank you! We love you!
Waiting this song to be played in concert.
Gifted producer. This captures the theme of the song perfectly
I had an expectation. The bar has been set rather high from you other works. I was not ready for this. It sounds so powerful and encompassing.
Godamn it sounds amazing! That song should have been on S&M for sure.
Masterpiece, congrats. I can’t imagine better SM version of this song
This is focking awesome!
Thank you Ben, really thank you! A masterpiece from Metallica that I hope one day they play it live in a tour because it deserves it.
i’ve been enjoying your Metallica orchestrations for a while now but this is some next level stuff here. Bravo good sir 👏👏🤘🏻
Genius introduction. Hitting hard and then moving into the quiet intro from the album. Absolutely incredible!
This is SICK.
