- Let's fix some Reset All Filter buttons in Tableau! Sometimes when we create the Reset All Filters Button in Tableau, it still doesn't work. In this video we will troubleshoot a few of the reasons for this lack of functionality.

Thanks for this; I'm trying to troubleshoot resetting all filters with a 'pop out/'click to view more' sheet. Currently, when I click reset all, the pop out sheet is expanded, thoughts? Thanks!

I am also trying to get rid of highlighting when clicking the reset filter area but have so far been unsuccessful despite trying various things some of which work in bar and other charts but not in text or shape fields. Does anyone have any solution for this?

I have created the reset button. It works fine, it resets all value but the highlighted portion I used to filter, remains highlighted and others greyed out. How to fix this?

What if I want my filters to be applied to multiple dashboards and still want reset button to clear filters on each dashboard?
You're using the same worksheet on multiple dashboards, but only want to clear the filter on 1 dashboard?
@@AnthonySmoak sorry should've been more clear, I am using different worksheets but the same data source. So I want to use filters across multiple dashboards using "all using this data source" but that doesn't work with reset button. So just wanted to know if you came across any such use case and got the reset filter to work?
@@jayrajparmar1727 You can apply filters across multiple sheets, just don't select the "applies to all worksheets with the same datasource" because that will also filter your "Reset Filters" worksheet(s). Manually select the worksheets you want to apply your filters to but exclude "Reset Filters" like the video demonstrates.
Then create specific "Reset Filter" worksheets for each dashboard to address the specific needs of each dashboard.
