Timber Boat : EP. 1 | HARTLEY TS 16 | Restoring a 39 year old timber sail boat

The Hartley TS 16 is perhaps one of the most popular home built boats in Australia. Based off a small New Zealand boat, design for fishing for mullet, the multi chimed, plywood constructed boat, quickly became very popular amongst boat builders, amateurs and experianced.
This boat was built in 1984 and had previously been fixed up, but since the paint job didn't look so good and there was exposed timber in some places, I took it upon myself to sand back and refinish this amazing vessel.

I am also rebuilding a TS16. Unless you are planning to leave the boat in the water, which I doubt, then you don't really need to antifoul..
