I run an ugly Soda Can on the end of my Howa buiild too. Those that shoot it always start researching how to add a can to their rifle. :) IYKYK! I will say though "COWS deer" after Dr Elliot Coues (pronounced Cows per Jim Heffelfinger) Why does it matter? Well they're not Mull Deer, and its not Eye-Talian cuisine - its Mule Deer and Ihtalian Cusisne. ;) After we shoot a couple Cows Deer we'll go get some pizza (JK Randy!) at that Ihtalian restaurant... Cheers and a great episode as always.

Love every episode but enough with the cans😱 I have been hunting 60+ years and reloading and collecting just as long and I have most of my hearing and that’s because where I do most of my shooting is at the range with ear plugs and head mugs together! Most hunts don’t require that many shots to take game and if it dies you need to go back to the range for more practice with the proper hearing protection not in the field🤔😳 it’s just one more thing that they are trying to sell you just like range finders which are for TARGET shooting and not needed IF you hunting in proper ethical ranges! The hunting is turning into a big sales department store of things to make THEM rich!
Then don't buy one. Pretty simple. I worked in the woods logging and in a sawmill during college. My the time I was 22 my hearing was shot. I'm trying to protect what I have left. If you don't want one, don't shoot one. Makes no difference to me. An if shooting with suppressors ticks you off, this channel is likely to do the same, as I will be shooting a suppressor the rest of my hunting days, wherever legal.
Very stupid response. If I lose my hearing I lose my job. I’m getting a can just to save what I have.
Whenever it's legal to use a silencer you should out of respect for other hunters in the area. It doesn't take alot of gunshots to clear an area of all game.
@brianmalick2946 no1 uses "silencers." But, I would still like to hear the report of a rifle, to know how many people are in the area.
Wished I could still hear the way I did when I was younger.
To many weapons going off at once and loud explosions. For sustained periods. May the noise suppressor help protect your hearing.
Why do you put a silencer on your lightweight rifle for? I wouldn't.
If you had very little hearing remaining, I suspect you might consider it.
I'm not gunshy when I am hunting.
I only wear earmuffs when I am at the gunrange. Do you wear hearing protection when you are birdhunting too? I don't.
