You put a lot into this showing individual parts of the characters through the dialogue inserted. Evil zone will always be one of my favorite ps1 games, I still have my og copy
I miss this game so much. The characters were so interesting to me when this game came out. I'm sure it helped shape my love for anime. Too bad Evil Zone wasn't popular enough to be remade. Keiya Tenpounin was my favorite.
I cannot be defeated! Absolutely!! Positively!!! For the sake of the world!!!! Here it goes!!!!! The power of the supreme ruler destroys evil!!!!! The ultimate hero!!!!!!! DANZAIVER!!!!!1!!11!!1!1!1!1111!!!!!!!!
Until I really got into anime I didn't realize how great this game was. Recently I just realized that they took every anime type, school girl, bounty hunter, magical girl, tom boy martial artist struggling to show her worth, miko/goddess type, sentai, magician, etc and etc and sort of parodied them into this great but simple game that suffered poor dubbing at most in my mind. EZ put together all of that in a nice package with a decent plot.
Just realized that After all these years that Lie is similar to Hidan from naruto. Even their finishing techniques are the same. This game was such a classic. I spent hours on this in elem school.
This game STILL stands up in its own unique un-official genre TO THIS DAY! I SO want an update or a sequel! Shit if Power Rangers can get a game, this game can get on the game tournaments too!
@LadyBern And the concept of Ihadurca itself was pretty awesome, and the fact that she was Kakurine's lover seemed very deep to me at the time. Also, this game did many things that no other did before, like the TV format, the was Ihadurca's story unfolds backwards because she's the boss, the button dynamic, etc. There was supposed to be a sequel in the making, but Titus disbanded just before they could solidify the project. Evil Zone 2... I would've bought that.
+Christian Mazerolle LOL I know the feeling! I've been looking for it as Power Ranger looking guy PS1 fighting game. And fun fact. I always do very long research on everything that interests me but I simply couldn't find this game. I told about it to my cousin (after over 16 years) that I'm looking for this because I figured he might help. The fucker told me 2 minutes later the name and I almost pissed myself! I love this game so freaking much!
I came here because Maximilian Dood play this game recently and calling this game an Absolute Hidden Gem~ Iam so glad that iam able to play this game as a kid 😭 I wanna see Max rate these Specials and Supers...
Thank God I found it! I was going crazy trying to remember the name of this game... Hell, I was going crazy just trying to remember enough of it to reliably search for it.
I played This game recently age has been kind to this game. One of the best psx graphics The whole cast is interesting unique and funny. Keiya and Erel are my favs. Fun Game play. What a shame that this game has no sequel the developers are still around making WWE games, what a shame. 😔
@Ebvardh Yes and you saw how deep everyone was, they all had their own reasons for doing things, some connecting through personal reasons. Nothing really complicated, save for one or two persons no one was truly evil. And I always wondered who the hell Ursa was. I had hoped for a second game to explain that.
I loved this game when I played it. Though I don't have the nostalgia that everyone else had when they played this game, I'm glad I got a chance to play it. I would LOVE to see a remake of this!
Finally! After searching for many years, I finally discovered the name of this game. Sadly, what I recall before about this game was that the entire language and voice is in solid Japanese and that I only played this game for only 1 day because my cousin just borrowed this from his friend. I was so disappointed for having a vague memory of this game, it truly was a good one.
8 years later commentary The game's original name in their japonese version was "Eretzvaju" and that was the only version in fully japonese lenguage but the american version call it "Evil Zone" is fully english
LOL!!! Man, listening to Danzaiver's theme is even better with his battle cries. The combination of the music and his stupid yet cheesy quotes/cries/speeches fit perfectly with the character and each other. A great combination for an Ultimate Hero......back then that is........
Ah, Nostalgia. I used to own this game on the PS1, it was pretty decent. I was a huge fighting game addict and always bought every fighting game I came across, whether it was famous or not - also, I should add... whether I liked the game or not. I had a lot of games many didn't even know of, including this. I don't remember much of it, only came across it on Gamefaqs the other day. Nice to resurrect those memories again.
Wow... This game... Ihadurca is the badass here. When you finished the game Ihadurca is available for play obviously. Her attacks always too powerfull than the others.. My favorite.. But for me, Danzaiver is the second favorite character in the game. And Kakurine is the third. That sneaky lil' "old bag" is big sister of Ihadurca. She's thousand yr old or whatever. If other player choose Ihadurca i always choose Kakurine. She's kryptonite for her. The game is one of a kind... It chills... :)
I remember Kakurine the kawaii preistess could suck her opponent's blood, I thought she was a vampire. Setsuna was my fave (I was one of those li'l girls who were sucker for fairies)!
@LadyBern And an incredibly complete set of character descriptions. How often do character cards in fighting games involve things like "favorite food/least favorite food" and "dislikes"?
Yep the memories .... I use to kick everybody's ass with the last three characters Midori (especially) , Keiya , and Ihadurca ... man I miss this game and Killer Instinct
You put a lot into this showing individual parts of the characters through the dialogue inserted. Evil zone will always be one of my favorite ps1 games, I still have my og copy
there are no words to express my nostalgia
Agreed and thankfullly Maximilian Dood push me here 😆
I miss this game so much. The characters were so interesting to me when this game came out. I'm sure it helped shape my love for anime. Too bad Evil Zone wasn't popular enough to be remade. Keiya Tenpounin was my favorite.
Keiya was my favorite too.
It was simplistic mechanically but very flashy. Funny thing is... Dragonball fighterZ is kinda similar. Evil zone was a bit ahead of it's time.
How come we haven't seen a part two of this game yet? This was one of the best fighting games I've ever played.
this game 's got so much charm it's crazy
PS3 / PS4 remake NOW ! plz!
Did they ever do it
My brother and I played this game back in the days. R.I.P big bro
I cannot be defeated! Absolutely!! Positively!!! For the sake of the world!!!! Here it goes!!!!! The power of the supreme ruler destroys evil!!!!! The ultimate hero!!!!!!! DANZAIVER!!!!!1!!11!!1!1!1!1111!!!!!!!!
I can't hold my tears while I'm watching this. A lot of memories came on my mind :(
Until I really got into anime I didn't realize how great this game was. A little late XD but I loved this game in Japanese. Never even knew what they were saying, but I didn't care, lol.
I used to love playing this game. Now that I watched again its game play I love it even more...
I remembered playing Evil Zone a long time ago in my 20s, their theme songs are my all-time favorites.
It's when you realize that Danzaiver was dubbed by Jon St.John that he shines even brighter than before.
Simply the best character in the game.
I can agree with that!
Never thought I'd hear the Colonel complementing a dress...
One of the better fighters in my book. They surely need to remake this. But with next gen graphics, in HD, and with a outfit customization mode.
Each character in this game should get their own anime/video game. Especially Danzaiver.
i thing Danzaiver had his, i came across it 16 years ago cant find it now he was not called danzaiver tho
@@frostenveil Basically a variant / ripoff of Spielvan

Evil Zone 2... I would've bought that.
Danzaiver:
"Here comes, Houndbreaaaaaaaak!" (near capture)
"Lock on, Seingbraaaaaaaaaaaaaaze!" (far capture)
"Danzai-burst!" (Finisher)
Llamanator He needs his own anime. :
+CABAL i think is Todome, not lock on
When he does Danzai-Burst, I start imaging Power Ranger's classic theme xD!
kakurine became scary as hell with those lasers, and the worst part is....she go for your throat.
loved setsuna's cinematics
My FIRST PlayStation game. I've been searching for the name for 16 years to find this.. I'm so fucking happy now!!!
+Christian Mazerolle
LOL I know the feeling! I've been looking for it as Power Ranger looking guy PS1 fighting game.

I love this game so freaking much!
Still love it memories it's like a kaleidoscope
OMG Been looking for this game FOREVER!!! Glad to have found it
I loved all the characters, but Keiya was my dude! He's a savage especially story mode
@5:48 Fucking Danzaiver! That guy was awesome.
Memories
God bless our Uncle for getting my Brother this game back in 2000, been obsessed with it ever since. :')
Kick starter part 2 of this now!!!
One of my favorite psone games. I was obsessed with it for months.
I came here because Maximilian Dood play this game recently and calling this game an Absolute Hidden Gem~
Iam so glad that iam able to play this game as a kid 😭
I wanna see Max rate these Specials and Supers...
Thank God I found it! I was going crazy trying to remember the name of this game... Hell, I was going crazy just trying to remember enough of it to reliably search for it.
the original shadow clone jutsu 8:18
Setsuna..kakurine are my favs
THIS GAME NEEDS A FUCKING REMAKE AHHHHHH nostalgic ;-;
Missing this game a lot!!! I still love it!!!
Midori performed the Asura Buster, Rider Kick and Hundred Cracking Fists.
I ashamed now to say that she wasn't my favorite character back then.
Omg thank you so much for posting this video! I needed some awesome nostalgia! Lol
this game has awesome music
I think it's worth noting that Gally "Vanish" Gregman's voice actor is totally the Colonel from the Metal Gear Solid series.
I played This game recently age has been kind to this game.
One of the best psx graphics
The whole cast is interesting unique and funny. Keiya and Erel are my favs.
Fun Game play.
What a shame that this game has no sequel the developers are still around making WWE games, what a shame. 😔
... seeing Keiya and his moves REALLY makes Demon Lord Retry's lead character's attacks make a LOT of sense.
I loved this game.. idk how many hours I put into this game, but memories are coming back
my favorite to play was always kakurine. creepy vampire chick
@Ebvardh Yes and you saw how deep everyone was, they all had their own reasons for doing things, some connecting through personal reasons. I would LOVE to see a remake of this!
This deserves it's own 10 episode anime...
This use to be my top favorite game when I was younger and I'd play it all day long. Setsuna was definitely my favorite.
This just unlocked a core memory. ❤
Memory 1999❤ Danzaiver is AWESOME 😍
Love how this game had only like...2 buttons. Block and attack. Yet plenty of moves
Wow...This game looks all kinds of wild. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for posting this video omg good memories
Setsuna... I hate her. My sister loved playing as her, and she could kick my ass every time with that character in particular.
This video it's beautiful! Omg
This game needs a sequel.

This game was amazing
8:00 KINNIKU BUSTA!!!!
Nostalgia overload....
Thank you for posting this!!!!!!!
keiya made me believe in magic as a kid. my fantasy world is here, if you seek me. i'll be in evil zone.
Souvenir, souvenir.
I used to play a lot with that game when I was a child :(
Keiya is so badass. He used to kick my ass to hell and back when I was younger.
This seems to been very innovating.....the style, presentation, and moves. I see that a lot in the fighters of today
kakurine, setsuna 😍
This may have been a low-budget game, but the gameplay was VERY tight. This was actually a really excellent fighter.
I used to love using that little cute magical girl in this game.
LOL!!! Man, listening to Danzaiver's theme is even better with his battle cries. The combination of the music and his stupid yet cheesy quotes/cries/speeches fit perfectly with the character and each other. A great combination for an Ultimate Hero......back then that is........
7:03 now thats is a epic piledriver: pull of her hairs first to make her fly and then fall.
was playing this last sunday, good memories
This takes me back! :)

Great game! And great soundtrack too!
Wow this takes me back.

DANZAIVAAAAA!!!! Jon St. John you make everything epic!
One of the first fighting games ive ever played 👌
@LadyBern And an incredibly complete set of character descriptions.
How often do character cards in fighting games involve things like "favorite food/least favorite food" and "dislikes"?
Wow, this is anime-y. And the super moves are more elaborate than they generally were back in the 1990s. I think I need to look into this one!
A very hidden gem. Literally a special ode to 90s anime tropes
My childhood game loved this game so much so many great memories!
I remember this game is a game combat.Je have also play and it has made me see the monumental scraped !!!
dammnnnnnmitt lol, i loved this game as a kid, man they should reallly remake this game for ps3 and xbox. it would look alot better
Fun fact:kakurine is 10010 years old
the memories i remember playing this when i was 11
Thank you thank you 😊
My favorite game when I was young.
setsuna was my best charcter in this game when I had it
Yep the memories .... I use to kick everybody's ass with the last three characters Midori (especially) , Keiya , and Ihadurca ... man I miss this game and Killer Instinct
No problem! Thanks for watching!
I LOVE THIS GAME !!!
Nostalgia.. I wish I kept this game.
@Liberator323 voice acting was really good in my opinion.
Watching Gally absolutely destroying Setsuna is hilarious.
In retrospect, this actually might'be been "radio talk-show" format.
Really liked this game.
I still have this game ^.^
my fave character was AL
This was my game back in the day.
my favorites are kakurine and danzaiver their themes are just perfect fit too
