I was looking at the Port Aventura some time ago (pre-pandemic). Since Tibidabo has a longer season than Port Aventura (and I’ll be studying abroad in Spain next year) to do Barcelona in March and Port Aventura late April/early May
Love this park. I remember the first time I went here it was called universal Mediterranean which was the year that sea themed 3d cinema opened . But the last time I went I stayed on site and paid for unlimited fast pass for my stay . Remember riding shambhala at 3 am in the morning which was some experience. Not been since ferrari land built but do plan to go in the future maybe when my little baby girl has grown up and can ride the rides
I went there in summer 2019 with my family, we used Reus airport and the views when you get off the plane are fantastic. We stayed at a hotel that was a 5 min walk from the park. The night life is fantastic as well at the park. It was certainly my favourite European holiday so far.
Great video I agree, Reus airport is the best fly in with jet2 , plana bus is the best to get into Salou, stay off site in a hotel in Salou close with included park tickets
i love the feel of these videos. they feel so genuine unlike so many other channels, just the well put together feel of both the title and the video itself, its just amazing, keep up the amazing work shaun ^_^
I always go for a week towards the end of September early Oct... still red hot.. cheap flights from Liverpool or Birmingham to reus... aaaannnddd...no queues at the theme park , especially during a weekday...20 mins max I've waited for shambhala... would never go in peak season
I didn't even realise that there were 6 hotels on site here. My brother went there on a school trip but he stayed in Barcelona. My family were very tempted to come here when we were planning our summer trip in 2019 but backed out because of my parents aren't comfortable with Barcelona and Salou for pickpockets. Hopefully we can get there in the near future.
Another great video in this Travel guide series Shawn. When I first went back in June 2019, we booked through Jet2 Holidays and got a cheap package holiday. This is also very helpful for me because I might wanna do a solo trip one day :)
This is bringing back so many memories right now. My parents used to spend their holidays in the area before the park even existed. I was only 1 year old when I first visited the park and during my childhood we went almost every year. My parents told me that one time we went to spain in a totally different area, like a three hours drive away and because child-me could not accept the fact that we're in spain but not going to PortAventura I was rebelling so much that we took the trip to the park even though it was so far away and my parents wanted to see a different part of the country for once 😂 So this park always had a special place in my heart and even though my home park is and always was Phantasialand I am still looking forward to every visit to this fantastic resort.
Hello Theme Park Worldwide, I have a two questions. Does the bus from Reus airport to Port Aventura run al year round? And do I have to pre-book the bus or can I just buy my tickets at the airport. I am looking for a trip in October, but I couldn't find a scedule. Btw, keep up the great work.
I’ve went to Mansión de Lucy this summer and you actually get a fastpass for all PortAventura & Ferrariland rides, including Street Mission, ehich isn’t included in the normal PA fastpass. The hotel itself is also fantastic and even though it’s a bit far away from the entrance, there’s just something with waking up and seeing Hurakan Condor and Red Force. Fantastic video as always, great fan of all your content! Regards from Spain! (Sorry if my english is not the best, I’m still learning it)
Thank you soo much for this Video Shaun! You are putting soo much hard effort into these videos and they are coming out super good! PortAventura is a really good theme park. Hats off Shaun! Keep Rocking Shaun!!!!😊😊😊😊
When I went to Portaventura in December 2017 I found a bargain ticket at a metro station in Barcelona, it cost me around 60€ and it included an entrance to each park + a round trip train ticket (because I was staying at Barcelona), that meant I had to experience both parks in the same day 😅
Could you say, wich what of kind of paying we can choose for express passes? We have no creditcards. Only girocard. Can we buy them in die park with Cash?
Going On a Monday the 23 May . Do you think we would need a fast pass on the Monday ? . Also my little girl is ten years old will she be aloud on the rollacosters?
As an American, I'm jealous of how cheap and easy it is to travel I'm Europe. Here traveling with costs you thousands of dollars between flights, rental cars, hotels, gas, and food.
I am going at the end of June and I am staying in hotel belvedere or hotel villa Romanna and don't know what 1 yet I need to Wait and see what the company we have booked with can upgrade u to a different hotel but with the same company.
I didn't have fast track and got front row on Shambhala. Best experience of my life. First drop in was unreal. Furious baco was unbelievable too. I will be back next year for sure
for portaventura, do they have any way to get cheaper/free tickets with proof of mental ilnesses such as autism and adhd. i know disney does that, but cant find anything for portaventure
I'm not sure of the specifics, but i've seen an office near the entrance regarding disability options which I believe could help - I'd suggest searching it online first just in case though :)
one time when i was on the plane nearly landing in reus airport i hear people screaming saying "OMG ITS SHAMBHALA AND RED FORCE!" because they could see the coasters out the window.
Hi Shawn! For other parks you mentioned how many days in the park(s) you would recommend, but I think you didn't recommend it here. What would you recommend?
The queue jumping at this park is totally out of control. The Spanish kids just don’t understand the idea of waiting in a line. The security do absolutely nothing about it. Best bet is to go after five o’clock at night when the Spanish school trips have all gone home. And I agree with Shaun about Salou. It’s one of the best family resorts in Spain. Great nightlife, restaurants bars and shopping.
Last time I visited Port Aventura (I’ve been many times) there were signs everywhere about big, big queues on all the major rides,. As I was there for just a day I thought it prudent to buy a fast track pass, so I could cram in as much as I could. However on walking around from Mediterranean land to the first themed area I soon discovered although busy, there were no such queues at the rides. 15 - 20 mins max. Not the 90 mins displayed. I didn’t need the fast track at all. On returning home I wrote to the park, they weren’t the slightest but interested. They weren’t at all concerned I’d been duped into buying an adult pass for two people. So my message is beware - don’t rush ‘to pay ‘extra for this. Look around first. I could be a costly mistake - and the park doesn’t care.
Just watched your Spanish Theme Park trip from August 2021 and it has inspired me to plan a trip of my own for my birthday in May this year. Considering doing a stay in Salou to visit Portaventura and maybe a visit to Parque Warner later on in the year
do you ever struggle with answering all the comments shawn ? i’m just wondering with all the comments that you take the time to heart and reply must take a while ! (i really really appreciate the time and effort it takes, makes my day when you interact with my comments !)
Your travel guides are so useful for planning our future theme park holidays!! Please can you let me know whether you are planning to do one for Liseberg? Many thanks! 🙂
Hi shawn Thankyou so much for this travel guide. I have been interested in going to port a ventura for a while . I'm not well travelled abroad so this was very helpful and reassuring. It's definitely going to happen when we can all go safely. Love as always Tracey xxxx
When I was younger I went to Salou twice. Highly recommend at least a couple of days there there is something for everyone. Also idk if they still do it but there was a little 'blue train' style shuttle bus that takes you directly to the park. Sadly my family didn't have Portaventura in the holiday budget but we still got to experience the train in a full circuit so I've been outside the park but not much further lol, would love to experience it in the future when things with covid calm down.
Hopefully I can use this in the near future
Have a great trip!
Same, i was meant to go last year for my first theme park out of england. Lets hope we can get there in 2021
me watching this and remembering that i have been there 5 times!!
It's definitely going to be on my list once we get to go out again!
It’s a fantastic resort!

Hi I’m a huge fan what’s your favourite theme park
My fave theme park is chessington world of Adventures!
@@prestprestprestprest good choice

Keep on truckin’ Shawn!
Perfectly timed video! Had just been thinking about planning a trip here for once we can get travelling again.
Went to this park on a school trip first European theme park and loved it
I am actually considering going here this summer
This helps
What you call "coastal resorts" we call them "small towns massified by tourism" xd, but don't mind, still great video
My favourite park! Last year was the first time not going in 4 years:( can’t wait to be back
Love this park. I remember the first time I went here it was called universal Mediterranean which was the year that sea themed 3d cinema opened . Would love to go back there, went 15 years ago, the only time I've ever went abroad! wicked place 😎👍🏻
My first ever theme park! I’ve loved this place since I was a baby
It’s a great resort!
The best park in the world with phanasialand.

ah portaventura, the only place where the queues look gorgeous on the outside, but not on the inside
Can you make a Disneyland Paris for Travel Guide series?
It’ll be on the way!
Thank you.
@Theme Park Worldwide, I really would like to know which themepark your going to go to on opening day
We’re currently in the process of planning our theme park trips!

Visiting mid june this year! Let's hope most of the things will be back to normal at the theme parks
Same!!
Fingers crossed!
What would you say the best time of year to travel there from the UK would be (avoiding school holidays both UK & Spain)
I always go for a week towards the end of September early Oct... still red hot.. cheap flights from Liverpool or Birmingham to reus... aaaannnddd...no queues at the theme park , especially during a weekday...20 mins max I've waited for shambhala... would never go in peak season
May and September seem to be the best times!
From Barcelona Airport I would recommend the train to Portaventura train station for 8 euros
Is the train faster as the bus?
A note I would recommend is the sol Costa daurada really nice food on the roundabout just under 15 minute walk away and 5 minutes from salou :)
Thanks for sharing Ben!
My mum says she loves this series and it’s made our decision massively easier and we currently planning to go here if it stays amber

Just a question, is a fast pass necessary for the park now that the pandemic is going on?
I’ve not visited since so I’m not sure how operations are at the moment!

Thinking of going this summer, has any of your advice changed since then?
I’d say it’s all still the same!
Hi Shawn. Do you have to boom a ticket for the full theme park.or can you just book for the world side of it?
You can buy tickets for any of the parks you want to!

It takes around 5 minutes in a taxi
@@ThemeParkWorldwide ok, but thats a little bit expensive i guess? Or is it by bus already the same money?

3 days is perfect for here!
So you have to buy fast pass to sit on the front row for their coasters thats a bit over the top
Not all the time, you can get lucky!
Disneyland California please
Last visited to PortAventura I’ve managed both front row rides on Dragon Khan and Shambala without express passes (June 2019) must of just been lucky.

When are the least busy times to visit? Also when do u think they will get rid of masks at portaventura because that’s when I will go
