Another neat small detail, when one of the tanks was knocked out it specifically showed the ammunition going off/exploding as part of the overall destruction animation - good attention to detail like that (as well as many other things they've added) really improves/heightens immersion.
13:22 that sound effect of the engine when the Jet is going doing is so fucking nice! And how it crashed on the ground... amazing! Really looking forward to this
I watched through my phone, and could feel the localized nature of the sound effects, roaring through my ears. so excited to see how amazing it sounds through a headset on the final release
Being able to deploy recon ahead of the main force just how recon is meant to, is an awesome feature. I can see just how useful it will be to prevent help rushes and facilitate map control even as the number of units in play has decreased.
Actually, it looks fantastic in all aspects - graphics, sound and gameplay (considering it's isn't polished yet). Can't wait to download. ATGMs finally doesn't look to be nerf weapons as in Wargame. And I actually like the fact you can't just spam quad-stacks of infantry anymore, it looks more like a real combat than an arcade meatgrinder. 2000 point start is way better than 750 points start Stealth17 showed previously because he could barely get several units and got pwned by a single killer apache. The best thing IMO is the size of the map compared to number of units you have - it really feels like modern mobile warfare. Probably in 10vs10 we will still witness overcrowded maps yet the lesser size of a deck is a great feature. Don't know if it's a quite cinematigraphic picture or not but the game feels more like a real conflict without the overcomplication of games like Combat Mission series - just like the Wargame I always loved. Well done, Eugens!
Wargame vehicles were always a bit on a fast side for convenience of a player, but, believe it or not, T-80 is capable of moving nearly as fast IRL. I rode on top of it once (on top of T-80BV, to be precise). The best part was then it drifted in order to make a 90 degree turn on a spot
Since jets can't see much themselves and ground recon has the tendency to not be around where you need it, pairing recon helicopters with jets could be neat
Yea, plenty of people have mentioned that, I think there was a mistake with making the units travel in Km/H instead of mph and so its 3.6 times faster than normal. (Something like that, im not entirely sure, but people on reddit are talking about it :P) It will prob get fixed. Well, hopefully.

I cant help but feel that the scale of the game is smaller than both steel division and wargame which I am disappointed about. The fulda gap which is what this game is trying to portray would have been an apocalyptic battle.
Well, maybe that's good for a default skirmish mode. At least with the reasonable amount of starting points it isn't look as derp as with only 750 points Stealth17 showed. The game experience in campaign or 10vs10 will probably be closer to an apocalyptic battle
Do the supply units replace lost infantry as in Red Dragon, or just resupply as in Steel Division? Tried to look on the replay there when you brought one int but it was hard to see the numbers.
Do command units actually need to remain in sector to maintain the cap? I ask because of the change in dynamic with them being able to move. Curious if it's shifted to "battlefield" style command points where it's capped and you can move on
Very exciting and looks amazing. One thing I dont understand though is why Eugen consistently has poor/annoying voice acting in their games. Whilst it can be muted, it kind of undermines all the amazing work they put into the other sounds. I know it might not seem like a huge detail, but it can really bring a game to life. The first Company of Heroes is an example, where some of the unit responses were so memorable and varied you can still remember them more than 15 years since the games release
Honestly they have improved the graphics so much, even compared to steel division 2. Wargame red dragon graphics were starting to feel extremely dated.
