I wish. I was originally funded by advertising on the site, but Google started punishing us (independent small bloggers), and our traffic dropped by over 100%. I don't do it for the money; I like helping people. But unfortunately, the work costs me time and materials, and that's money in disguise these days. Unfortunately, I haven't released a new video in 3 months. I lost my drive because of it. But these messages make me very happy and motivate me to keep creating. Thank you so much; I really appreciate it immensely.
Thanks for the this! The videos I found online from Nespresso were not as clear since it was a different machine. This is my machine and you explained perfectly & was easy for me to follow along. My descaling light had come on and wasn't sure what do to! Thanks again!!❤
Just had to descale my nespresso for the first time ever and I’ve had it for several years and use it every day. However I do only use filtered water so that’s probably why. Just wanted to say thanks for making your video, super easy to follow along! ❤
Hello, I have had my Nespresso for just a little over a year and I saw that the machine will indicate when it needs descaling. I thought it was a maintenance thing to do ever so often. So am I wrong and I don’t need to do it unless it flashes half green and red? Do you know what I should do to maintain it properly?
This is a great video. But unfortunately the light stayed half orange for me. I guess it’s a common problem for Nespresso. I am going back to instant coffee lol
I'd like to say that the process is that simple. However, maybe I am being thick, but I cannot satisfactorily complete a descaling programme without encountering difficulties. I have just done a descaling routine and nothing worked well. I had to manually operate the descaling and that has plainly upset the innards because, when all is done it still thinks it needs descaling. Is there an idiot's guide for the Vertuo plus?
My descaling did not stop automatically. It ran out of the water/solution (followed your steos) and i had to hit the brew button. I then cleaned everything, added more water and hit the button to start. My rinse is taking foever and im now sure its stuck as i the rinse doesnt complete automatically. I have to make it stop. Ive done this twice now and each time the machine still gives me the red/green light combo. Is there anyway to force it out of this mode?
@usherzach let it go through the cycle on its own. It might take 7-8 fill-ups or more but it will stop on its own. When it does stop remove the plug for at least 15 minutes and let it cool down and that should make it complete.
@charismahornum-fries691 Thank you! It’s very possible I was not being patient enough. I went through 4 fills of the reservoir and threw in the towel out of fear the machine would overheat. I’ll give it another shot.
I hope Nespresso paid you for this. So so much better than their actual video.

This should be the official Nespresso descaling video. Because the one they put out is not as accurate as this one is!
Thank you!
it really should
Wow! Thanks 🙂
I agree 😂
This is the absolute best video for descaling newbies, like me.
This is a great tutorial. Thank you
The simplest and most accurate instructions!

Thank you so much! More helpful than the Nespresso site

Thanks! Your detailed explanation was made perfect by the clarity and tone used to deliver it!!!🎉😊❤
It worked. Thank you!
To the point and clear step-by-step directions with visual. No talk, talk, talk, like, follow crap.
Absolutely the best and clearest instructions! Yes, I hope Nespresso pays you for this! Thank you for your excellent video!❤
Perfect video and so so helpful! Thank you
Never done descaling before, didn't even know my Nespresso needed it. But thanks to this video Ive done it thank you 👍👍
Happens when you buy something and fire it up without even reading the basics.
This is exactly what I needed, thank you!
The most helpful video ever thank you

Very helpful. Thank you for making this video.

Thank you! Great video
Thanks!

Light keeps staying red and yellow even though it completed the descale and rinse cycles.
Mine is staying on too. Did you figure it out?
What if the button turns solid red after the descale then rinse?
I am having the same issue. Did you manage to solve the problem?

Try filling water to the top for rinse cycle

I have to make it stop.

Same problem here. It’s been descaling for 45 minutes.
@usherzach let it go through the cycle on its own. It might take 7-8 fill-ups or more but it will stop on its own. When it does stop remove the plug for at least 15 minutes and let it cool down and that should make it complete.

@@charisma-hornum-friesnever heard that before. One rinse is plenty
I had customer support walk me through this. Solution was to fill it up to the top during rinse cycle.
Great video but you really breezed past how to start the drain process. The whole reason I watched the video 😣
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you ❤️❤️
