I'm so thankful I found this. My K-Mini was taking close to 3 minutes to brew a cup of coffee. It was literally just a trickle. So I used the vinegar/water solution you mentioned to descale it, and after it was finished "brewing" I looked into the cup and there was a ton of little white particles floating all through the solution. So I did one more run through of vinegar/water, followed by 3 rinses of just water, and now it only takes about 20 seconds to fill the cup. I did all the other cleaning steps you mentioned as well. Thank you so much.

Doesn't work if your internal heater tank is completely full (no headspace). The machine's logic sees a completely full tank as empty and resets. Always trying g to pull from the external tank. Removing the external tank doesn't necessarily make the completely filled internal tank expell its water. Once the machine is out of sync, this tip is useless.

I’m trying this now. Our Keurig is a few years old and it’s shut down recently but worked fine running vinegar through then followed with water. Descale light doesn’t come on anymore. I noticed “add water” not coming on anymore either. I’m trying this a second time before I throw it away.

Thank you. I was getting to throw mine away. Lol. The only thing I would like to say though, my Keurig might be alittle different than yours. Mine does NOT blink that I need to "Add Water." It just says with nothing. I had to push the button like I'm getting a regular coffee (even though there's no water). Then I had to re "RESET" the second time. The 2nd RESET was finally able to show the ""Add Water" blink. Just FYI for those might have the same issue like mine.

My descaling did not stop automatically. It ran out of the water/solution (followed your steos) and i had to hit the brew button. I then cleaned everything, added more water and hit the button to start. My rinse is taking foever and im now sure its stuck as i the rinse doesnt complete automatically. I have to make it stop. Ive done this twice now and each time the machine still gives me the red/green light combo. Is there anyway to force it out of this mode?

Thank you for being the first person I’ve seen actually say HOW to remove the pod basket! I thought I was going crazy with all these people just saying to take it out! Even the official instructions the machine came with are vague about it - never mentioned anything about pushing up from the bottom! You’re a lifesaver!

Well this didn't work for me after two attempts. It keeps flashing and turns itself off. I'll just look for a machine that actually works when I plug it in.
