Elvis was a phenomenon and the first real superstar. I've met George Kline who narrates some of this film and i got his autograph. He's a nice man and was always ready to talk about Elvis. Thanks for playing this.
Thank you for this reaction ❤️ Frank Sinatra was the heartthrob of America before Elvis and then Elvis came along and took over, Elvis was a gift He did what God made him to do😊
Elvis was kind of a slave to his manager Colonel Tom Parker. During his life, Elvis never knew that Parker was actually an illegal immigrant from The Netherlands, Andreas van Kuijck, who had assumed a whole new identity in the US and had somehow managed to become a succesful manager of several country and western artists. Once he saw what effect young Elvis, locally, had on his audiences, "Parker" latched on to Elvis and indeed, made him big, but at a tremendous price (literally and figuratively). Because Parker was afraid to let Elvis tour outside the USA without him, and because he - as an illegal immigrant - feared he would not be able to return to the US if he'd accompany Elvis on foreign tours, he made up all kinds of lies to prevent Elvis from touring outside the US. Despite that, Elvis - also in a weird way thanks to Parker - became a worldwide phenomenon and idol because he was the whole package: fantastic singer and performer and a star in over 30 movies (most of which were quite bad, but this was of course a great vehicle to let Elvis be seen across the globe). Elvis' outrageously good looks did not hurt, either. Elvis was probably the first artist whose worldwide audiences traveled to the US to see him live. The Hawaii concert was the first concert that was beamed across the globe by satellite and was viewed by 1.5 BILLION people. Elvis got addicted in the army because the brass was afraid Elvis (and other soldiers who had to stand guard in the icy German winters) might fall asleep on watch in the freezing temperatures, so he got his first uppers while serving in the US army. It snowballed after that when he was back in civilian life and showbiz. He had a doctor in every state (and even several cities per state) who would provide him with all the prescription medication he wanted to have and later needed to sort of function. Such a waste of such a fine specimen. He died at 42, but the state of his body/organs was that of an 80-year-old. Very sad. Elvis would sometimes cause an injury or wound to himself to get certain prescription drugs. He had medical books that described all kinds of medications, which to combine with which etc. that he almost knew by heart; he'd made a whole study of it. He did have a genetic link to heart disease, but he undermined and damaged his health by over using prescription drugs for ailments he did not have, thereby causing real medical issues like a blocked colon, hypertension etc. His intestines had been leaking into his abdomen for some considerable time. He wasn't just constipated, his intestines did not work normally anymore because of the massive amounts of prescription drugs he had been abusing for decades. The placebo intervention by Dr Nick was too little, too late. ua-cam.com/video/hRqzwJJyJkg/v-deo.html As far as I know, there weren't any real rehab centers as we know them today, back then. His immediate circle of family, friends and employees were all afraid and too uneducated (and probably selfish, not wanting to lose their meal ticket, although very short sighted because that attitude killed their meal ticket prematurely) to do something about it. Elvis' finances were in the toilet at the time of his death. The colonel got 50% of what Elvis earned and all personnel was paid out of Elvis' 50%. Add to that that Elvis was way too generous, even to strangers, and there you have it. Also: people usually criticize the bodyguards who wrote the book Elvis What Happened? But they should also realize that Joe Esposito was a big enabler (and covered up the scene after Elvis' death. He has told at least 3 versions of what happened that fateful day) and Jerry Schilling is totally in Priscilla's pocket (which means going along with falsification of many Elvis facts to suit her storyline; they basically rewrote Elvis history on several points).
Also Elvis was like a chameleon, in the book Down at the end of lonley street, neighbors said when was a baby, he pet his mom like she was his baby. Good book. Carried his special fork and spoon hed only use.

As far as movie music is concerned Elvis had some great tracks like Return to Sender, and A Little Less Conversation. However his film music in general is not considered his strongest but the soundtracks for GI Blues and Blue Hawaii both went platinum and are good if you want to explore those. All his film music from the 50s are good to go. Thanks for your thoughtful reactions.
I want to react to all of his albums including his soundtrack albums, I already reacted to loving you that's right here ua-cam.com/video/I3MtaUJursk/v-deo.htmlsi=E2zd0OgYEu0I4mQn if you would like to check it out. I'm going to react to his studio albums first then I'll react to the rest of his soundtrack albums
@@angelosworld01 Loving You was great but all his 50s stuff was great. Most of his early 60s and late 60s music was also great. It's the middle of that decade that's hit and miss, especially the movie tunes. Not even Elvis fans always agree on what's worthy. But go for it. Be cool 😎 and enjoy your discovery of the King.
Yes u need to check out welcome home elvis frank Sinatra show the whole show cause elvis sang 2 songs before him and frank sang together it's really good footage
@@angelosworld01it's 53 minutes long. It's a Sinatra TV show ( classic style). Elvis sang two beautiful songs and a duet with Sinatra. There is a video of this on YT. About 9 minutes long. Really worth watching!

His dad went to jail and Elvis became the man of the house.
Right I remember hearing that in last week's reaction video my reaction to Elvis: Return To Tupelo
Elvis and Michael are the most famous men in America, oh yeah and Trump!
It's funny how the king of rock&rolls daughter lisa marie Married the king of pop
Rightttt
Michael Jackson loved Elvis ! So much, he married his only daughter.

@@angelosworld01 Michael Jackson undeniable King Of Pop I will love him forever as well ! Miss them both ! ❤️
💯💯
Mj sold more records than Elvis, but Elvis had a special, different level of charisma than mj, no disrespect to mj fans, michael loved Elvis.
That's what I tell everybody I tell them that Michael Jackson loved Elvis, but they can't compare them because they were in two different genres of music
Elvis wasn't happy after the first 3 films. It got repetitive, but Parker had him locked in contracts. Sad.... ❤
Smh I hate that he had to go through that

I can't stand him too,
but he said there were parts of the business where he got 25% ( video on YT). So not 50% to everything.
You’re 💯 on Colonel Parker ! Not a good man !
Please don't react to Elvis soundtrack albums. Please watch his live shows, he was such a great entertainer. You have to always see him. thank you .
Just wandering, why shouldn't I react to his soundtrack albums?
