Love it! But, a few suggestions: Put the mini split above the closet doors in the bedroom so it isn't one of the first things you see when you walk into the bedroom. Put the window in the living room above the sofa a then only put a transom window on the "fireplace" wall so that the TV can be mounted above the fireplace. Put an actual cabinet above the area for the laundry as most people want to be able to hide that stuff. Move the bathroom window to the center of the wall so that shelves or a cabinet can be put over the toilet for additional storage. Place the main living area mini split above the bathroom door, so once again it isn't something your eyes focus on. The cabinets on the fridge wall could be a bit taller as one can never have too much storage. ;P Just my thoughts.
yes yes yes. I thought (almost all) of these things as I watched this. I love the size. Only other thing I would do is take the kitchen cabinets up to the ceiling, purely to remove the need to dust on top of cupboards. This is perfect for someone like me who is mobility challenged, but this means we can't get up to clean on top of cabinets. Something the able bodied just wouldn't have need to think about so it's always overlooked.
I'd also have the window on the end of the bedroom moved to the other wall so my bed sits against the end. I can.t stand not being able to walk around my bed when I'm making it up.
Love the wide pocket doors. I could easily get my walker through them. Swing doors you have to back up to open or close the door. Pocket doors no backing up so less chance to fall. Good layout in bathroom also with plenty of room. Very good job.
Yes indeed the cabinets rather than cluttered shelves. A must have. Love the bathroom I've been doing dishes in a double sink all my life. Set in my ways LOL must have a double sink. Must have washer and dryer must have pantry and closet space. Must have single floor bedroom. Must have no steps no ladders no Loft. Thank you for the tour.
I LOVE the NO LOFT! Few things I'd want different! Living room window,I'd want where the picture is hanging/ put the tv where the window is! Removable shower sprayer! Love the pocket doors!
Gorgeous Tiny! I love that it has a regular size gas stove, dishwasher, big bathroom and most importantly a closet in the bedroom. I would love it if you would open the bedroom closet and kitchen cabinets. Thank you!
I love it! I would make eating area table same height as kitchen counter so when not eating, someone can use it as additional prep space. I'll take clear story windows at head and left side of bed, leaving front of bed wall for TV mount or slim dresser with TV on top. Extend closet as. Long as possible leaving space for light/fan switch.
I'm in agreement that all tiny homes should utilize pocket doors for all rooms excluding only the front and/or rear doors. Love the way they expand the space. Also transom windows across from sofa with built in fireplace and space for TV swing mount for viewing from living room and kitchen area when cooking.
I would love to see a picture window on the side of the bed and French doors in bedroom leading out to a deck. I would have to have two exits. And I wouldn’t need a seal at all in the shower giving me more space in there. If the space allowed, I would have a four chair table. I also wouldn’t need a window over the fireplace, just a transom window so I could mount a tv there. Not sure I would even have to have a fireplace.
I really like this home - layout, windows, wood, kitchen. I too would not need a dishwasher, microwave, or full size stove - apt size would be perfect. I also would try to find more area's for storage, shelving? Thank you for presenting this lovely home in a calm - gentle style makes it easy for me to hear.
I love the tiny house concepts! I'd love to design one for my 94 yo dad. I have an empty .50 acre lot next to my house that would be a perfect place for him! This layout is nice, i would tweak it a little, but thats the beauty of veiwing ones like this! Thanks for sharing!😊
This unit starts at $80,000. The unit shown in this video came in at $106,000. To get exact numbers you can design your own Columbia II here: form.jotform.com/233186748137161
My dream mini would have the bathroom bedroom at 1 end..the kitchen at the other end and living areas in center. I have a thing about bathrooms being Right Next to kitchen and food prep
Love love love love love love love the bathroom the space the shower with a shower door. Hallelujah!!! And a most must have seat for seniors . Excellent!!!!❤❤❤
Very well thought out home..what I love most about it is how bright it looks..I love the wood and white color contrast...for me I would make a few changes..I would not need that big window in living room so I would add a wall with 2 small skinny windows on the side...that way if you choose to put a TV up you have a spot or make it a nice wood burning fireplace..I would definitely put a shower/ tub combo in bathroom..take out the cabinets to the kept of the sink and scoot the sink down...that should give you plenty of room..plus with the wonderful tall linen closet I don't think you would miss them...I would put a back door where your dining table is leading out onto a back porch/ deck ..or even a garage or future addition...possibilities are endless...I have cats so for me it would be a screened in porch/ catio...they also need their space...could you please include some pricing when showing these houses..I know everyone does something different so pricing is different but knowing a base price would really help in deciding what can be done...ty
I would swap out microwave for air fryer/convection oven. Potfiller would be helpful as well. I would want rainshower head and a hand held sprayer in shower.
Such a well designed quality home, I know its cudtom but Id love a mini wood stove instead of the electric fire, its just insurance if the electricity supply fails. This home is beautiful !
Thanks for sharing this custom designed tiny home. Your customer has great taste! The custom touches & attention to detail really shows. The tall hickory wood kitchen & bathroom cabinets are truly stunning. So much warmer with this beautiful wood than the many stark white cabinets seen on so many homes lately. It's great to see both kitchen & bathroom with sufficient storage for FT living & plans for a stackable washer/dryer rather than the combo units which tend to be noisy & problematic. This home would work out perfectly for me & my pooch. Do you ever add outside storage?
living room looks good but, instead of a big window above the fireplace, put two smaller windows side by side with a strip of wall in between above the fireplace. That will allow a wall mounted TV to fit above the fireplace and between the windows so you have the heat and looks of the fireplace, a living room tv like 100% of living rooms have, and two big windows on the sides of the tv for a good view also.
Really nice small home, love all the storage and pocket doors, personally I think the full size appliances are overkill, wouldn’t an apartment sized stove, fridge, and dishwasher be sufficient?
Great build. I noticed the picture in the bedroom is hung up sideways. It's supposed to be vertical. The people are kneeling. (The Kiss, by Gustav Klimt)
Overall I like this but as someone else said, there’s nowhere to put a TV in the living room so I would have to reconfigure the window across from the sofa. I would probably have to get rid of one of the windows in the bedroom to have room for a TV in there as well. But I do like the kitchen and bathroom. I would add an electrical outlet near the toilet as I like to use bidet toilet seats and they require power. But in terms of small homes, this is one of the better ones I’ve seen once tweaked a bit more.
Been watching several different videos like this…this is the first one that I actually kind of liked, that was finished off. Still would have some modifications. Love the bathroom and all the storage in there. Kitchen though, I would get rid of the full size oven and microwave and have just a decent size convection oven. Would also get rid of dishwasher and hand wash the dishes, giving me a little more storage there. Would add a small pantry, even if it was just a few shelves behind a door. I would get rid of the fireplace (they aren’t that efficient) and put in a small wood stove that was efficient. Would change the furniture, for something a bit more homey.
Beautiful layout, very comfortable! Love the finishes. I agree with a few of the suggestions here in the comments about placement, but minor stuff. All in all, terrific build! One thing though, the painting above the bed is hung sideways. Look it up-Gustav Klimt, The Kiss. There was a movie a while back, Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds about one of his other famous paintings. Several of his paintings were done with gold and were burned and melted down by the Nazis for the gold content during the WW2 era but that one was just flat out stolen from a family in Austria, then given to an Austrian museum and fought for by the family from whom it was stolen (now living in LA), all the way to the US Supreme Court. She won. FYI and possibly TMI. 😊
Thank you for the comment and all the information on the painting, we had no idea and are a bit embarrassed, we will get that fixed ASAP and check out that movie as well!
Very nicely done, though i would have put a window next to the stove (where the mirror is) to help vent cooking fumes. Great job with the cabinets, lots of storage options here, though you'd probably want to be on the taller side to make accessing things up high easier. What kind of insulation do you typically do in the floor/walls/ceiling?
That really is a beautiful build. There is one thing I absolutely hate about is the air/heat units up above. I just wish they were somehow incorporated in the floor. That's just me personally.
I agree with the one comment about taking the window out above the fireplace and one of the other windows in the bedroom as well. Hope there would be enough outlets in the bedroom and the rest of the place especially if you would need them for different reasons or purposes. The only drawback would be the need for a little extra room for guests or possible events you might want to have as well. For a Single person it might be that bad but I didn’t catch the actual cost of this place either.
I love this house! There is two things I would change. I would add a window in the living area over the dinning area, and I would remove the window on the end in the bedroom. Other than that this house is perfect. I wish you would share with us the price rannge to puchase a model as it's designed.
Really nice! The mini split directly over the couch in the living room is problematic, however, as whoever sits there will be blasted with either warm or cool air. Anyone who’s ever sat under one will know what I mean. It’s a bigger problem in smaller spaces because there’s limited wall space to put them somewhere else.
Very nice space! But I'm distracted by the art print above the bed being sideways. I've never seen that painting displayed like that. I wonder if it was on purpose
Nice build! Beside suggestions made by others. I'd like to see a second exit door by moving the bath next to the bedroom and shift the kitchen and living room down so there could be a back door to a deck.

Great house! For me personally I would ditch the microwave and dishwasher and extend storage. I don’t use either appliance. Now that bedroom needs to be extended out for a King bed! That bed is flush against the wall so how do you change the sheets and use corner sheets? Is it on wheels? Really? Otherwise I love the wood cabinets and pocket doors etc! The reason they are not giving a price is because someone has already purchased it. But, they should give a stock price! ❤❤
Giving a price at time of filming would have been nice.
I love there is no loft. Many of us more mature persons cannot do stairs anymore. The home is very attractive!.
Love it! But, a few suggestions: Put the mini split above the closet doors in the bedroom so it isn't one of the first things you see when you walk into the bedroom. I guess if they refuse to quote the price, that it is toooo pricy!😢

I find some tiny homes too tiny but this one looks very livable.
I love this home! So light and bright! The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are beautiful! Love that it's all on one floor!
Lovely. Only changes I'd make is small wood burner and deep bathtub.
Love a Gally kitchen and it makes the most sense in a home this size. Very functional and, attractive ‼️
Beautiful kitchen cabinet. This tiny house is practical for full time living❤
Looks like a regular home. Only on a smaller scale. Design very well for space absolutely excellent.
Kitchen absolutely gorgeous and very very functional. Thank you for the cabinets!!!!

EXCELLENT USE OF SPACE ‼️
This is the best Tiny home I have ever seen on the internet. It would suffice for my life style. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! I love the hickory cabinetry and the pocket doors. It has such a bright open feel.
I LOVE the NO LOFT! Few things I'd want different! Living room window,I'd want where the picture is hanging/ put the tv where the window is! Removable shower sprayer! Love the pocket doors!
Love this home. Because I am short I would make the kitchen cabinets shorter and no dish washer, I would prefer drawers.
Perfect layout!
Gorgeous Tiny! I love that it has a regular size gas stove, dishwasher, big bathroom and most importantly a closet in the bedroom. I would love it if you would open the bedroom closet and kitchen cabinets. Thank you!

Great tiny house. One more foot long for the bedroom to fit the king bed better.
Absolutely love it
Nice! Instead of the big window in the living room, I would leave that as a solid wall to mount a tv. Where else would a persdon put it?
Not a bade idea, that is a great option. Typically our buyers wall mount a TV next to the front door but that does limit the size a bit.
Better read and listen than watch TV.
Beautiful!

I love my tiny house from Tiny Mountain Houses! Nice updates to the Columbia, Lou!
Thanks for watching!

This is great, so love that the bedroom is on the main floor!

Yes we can do something on the exterior if desired. That's a good idea for outdoor gear and things you don't want to bring inside on a regular basis!

Pretty neat place. I really don't like bathrooms right next to a kitchen so I would recommend a laundry room next to the kitchen so that you can have 2 pocket doors or at least a little extra space between the kitchen and the bathroom.

These homes are built and certified RVs unfortunately traditional mortgages don't apply, they are financed like a vehicle.
