West Midlands Police rejected my application to join at the final stage of recruitment because I had spent a few years living and working in Australia. I was deemed a 'threat to the organisation'. The utter shambles of dealing with those morons has given me zero confidence with the police or this country as a whole.

I'm a born and bred UK citizen, zero criminal history here or Aus and just to prove it I got a full Australian Federal Police certificate and sent it off to them. I am foreigner. I always paid taxes, always worked, never claimed council house nor benefits. Seeing what politicians did to this country makes us think about coming back to Poland. I love UK like my own country, I like British people and I see living in UK as a positive experience, but seeing where this country is going I don't want my grandkids to be raised in here. Politicians are ruining this country.
The police are too busy attending meetings with 'stakeholders' and addressing concerns about parking outside schools. Lancashire constabulary were proud to announce on social media that they put 62 extra officers on the streets during February and that they attended 42 jobs and did 6 stop searches. Less than 1 job, per officer, in a month. As a retired cop I find their performance and attitude to be disgraceful.

It's not just the police, it's the whole justice system that's failing us. Letting people out early or not even putting them away in the first lace. The life style of prisoners inside is no deterrent for them to not want to be there, the cost of looking after them is ridiculous. The whole system needs a shake up.
The police didn't produce a photo-fit because they were concerned that the community would call it racist. Release the photo fit and carry out robust policing.
However, the police needs to be fully supported by the Courts and Government authorities.
