Do I need to follow a special diet if I have cirrhosis?

I was diagnosed with cirrhosis based on Fibroscan requested by my gastroenterologist and on december 2021 my score was 15.7kpa, so stage 4 (cirrhosis) which was caused by fatty liver disease, I started the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting , 1 year, 75 fewer pounds later, yesterday I went for another fibroscan, my score went from 15.7kpa to 4.5kpa, stage 1(mild/no fibrosis) so...YES Cirrhosis IS reversible, and eating "fruit" which is rich in carbs which caused the problem in the first place is very bad advice

Why do they keep telling people that eat fruit which is high in sugar which leads to more damage of the liver

This is supposed to be about DIET for cirrhosis and all you did was preach about booze! You made it sound like all patients are alcoholics! Just for your information; I have never even tasted alcohol in my whole life and yet I have cirrhosis!! So get off your high horse and tell us WHAT DIET WOULD BE HELPFUL!

try medical medium.. uhm my dads on same boat, never did drugs or drink. just ate poorly and too much junk. high fat, soda, candy etc
