Bueno, por fin ese artilugio para sacar peces desde tanta altura, por aquí también se le llama extractor, bichero o sacadera, de esta manera se pierden menos capturas grandes, aunque lo ideal es que alguien te ayude con el extractor.

It's called a Flying Gaff. Standard equipment for cliff fishermen in Australia. Used with cord, not fishing line, and kept ready for use.
His line roll went down.....
My first experience with them was in Shark Bay WA in the early 1990’s. They called them a cliff gaff.

@@daverodgers779 Whale sharks are usually found further north off the Ningaloo Reef. Tours go from places like Coral Bay and Exmouth. Seen a few while fishing, and also many humpbacks and some Orcas. Other common sharks there are hammerheads, tigers and whalers. Plenty of Dugong in Shark Bay.

Que todavía no lo pruevo, el cual si resulta lo subiré. La técnica es la misma es una red de como una manga unida con belkron y en el centro una tapa circular la cual se desliza por la línea de pesca hasta cubrir el pez en la parte de avajo lleva unos pasadores para una cuerda. Una ves que ha llegado al pez se jala la cuerda y el pez queda seguro sólo hay que subirlo queda independiente a la línea de la caña

His reel of line fell over the side. So much fishing line let out. Hopefully it doesn't all land up in the ocean. Just saying 😕. Clever idea in bringing up the fish, well done.
@Mark Raw I think he might have retrieved it because he was picking up line after he had thrown the fish down (I get a wee bit annoyed when I see people treat fish so badly) . The line was still attached to the gadget, and presumably he did not want to lose it all - there was no need, although he would have to respool the whole lot as it would continue to fall off the plastic holder as he pulled it back from the gadget end. It was not too bright a move on his part to lose it over the side the way he did. As somebody else posted, he was not prepared.
It does look like a usefuly gadget though, and I have never seen one prior to this video. Any thoughts on using one yourself? It could be attached to a very strong line or cord and used in a similar way to a drop net, but I think it might be more effective than a drop net at a long distance. I would be inclined to have the line/cord more securely fixed to something rather than just a lightweight holder that is so easily lost over the side - only let out as much line as needed.
