September garden tour 2024

I am just like a lot of other gardeners; life takes us away from our gardens and we come back to an untidy mess. This is my mess and how I am working to straighten things up before the end of the season. The good news is that I am still getting a harvest from most of the crops.

I have a degree from Purdue University in Argriculture and have lived on the same land for over 65 years. I have a wonderful husband and three sons. I enjoy working in the garden, with the animals and creating things.

Perhaps the flowering, but not fruiting cucumbers is due to a lack of pollinators? Maybe they did their work with the tomatoes, but the cucumbers flowered later?
However, I don't think beans require pollinators so maybe the soil is lacking something?
I'm curious. Are you growing catnip for your cats, or neighbors?
