@@nurafifahshuhardi8240 yes.. minimal upgraded cleaning. Go with the S7 Pro Ultra. I’m a fan of the camera and the cool LED light at the top of the S7 MaxV Ultra. So I’m going to purchase that new along with the air drying module.
Would you say the double brush improves cleaning overall? iRobots have had it pantented until now and it was their main feature allowing for same cleaning performance as a single brush Roborocks but with less than half of CFM airflow, which produces much less noise and provides longer battery. So I would expect that the combination of double brush design + high CFM airflow should produce next level cleaning performance comparable to much more powerful manual vacuums.
Yes the double rollers help, a few things I consider is the CFM, PA, Navigation and how low the robot sits. Usually if the robot has the brushes sit lower than they can perform better at picking small debris from carpets. The trade off is they may struggle getting over thresholds and sucking up larger debris like cereal. As for the S8 Pro, just from what I have seen it performed as well as last year's model. I noticed less debris getting trapped from the brush roller area. Mopping was probably where I have seen the biggest improvement.
Awesome video. One thing I would love to see is in depth review of how good the dock can clean the mop pad and also how good and how quick is the drying process for the pad. I have the S7 and having a damp smelly mop pad is my biggest bug bear. If I schedule the S7 to clean at night, by the time it's morning the pad is already starting to stink. I have about 10 pads that I cycle after each clean so I'm always using a fresh pad. The S8 Ultra seems to tick all boxes provided the mop pad cleaning and drying is on point. Anyway, great video and looking forward to more videos.
Thank you for watching, as for the Mop Drying feature you can set between 2-4 hours. Also if you happen to have the S7 MaxV Ultra dock you can buy an Hot Air Drying attachment for the dock. The self cleaning feature hasn't really changed from last year's model. I would recommend washing the mopping pad by hand every month or so to give a better clean.

Also, in your opinion are the new features make it worth upgrading from the S7 maxV Ultra?
Yes you can program it to start with Vacuum only, Mop will not wash or be placed down. Once the robot returns to the dock to empty you can have it mop only. The vacuum rollers automatically withdraw and the mopping pads only lift when carpet is detected. There a setting in the app to keep the mopping pads down. And they even dropped the Knight Rider Scanner bar that gave the bot some personality, nooooooooooooo 😩 I guess I will have to hold out another year for the S9!
I believe to keep the price lower they forgo the Reactive AI Camera system with the Reactive 3D system that doesn't have the camera. The Camera system allows the robot to recognize more objects and different floor types. As for the personality, it would be a cool feature. If you seen Samsung Bots they added eyes to their helper bots.
Not sure how well the Drying feature attachment did with the S7 Ultra dock. With that being said just from what I have seen so far I haven't noticed any smell. Keep in mind I do throw the mopping pad in the washer every few weeks.
@@himawanwite Not knowing the price on the S8 Pro, I would say the S8 Pro is a better robot vacuum cleaner overall. I noticed the robot picked up more dirt and debris over a week of running the robot. I suspect the S8 Pro will be priced cheaper than the X1 since it has a few less features. For example the X1 has a front facing camera, two voice and video capabilities, and onboard voice assistance. If it was my pick I probably go with the S8 Pro. Lastly if you have a lot hair on the floor choose a robot that has an all rubber brush bar. This is on the iRobot, S7/S8 Roborock.
@Himawan Wite Main differences, S8 Pro has increase PA 6,000, dual rubber brushes instead of 1, Reactive 3D system which lacks the front camera that the S7 MaxV has which is called Reactive AI. Also the dock has been redesigned cosmetically and added the Hot Air Drying Feature. The S8 Pro now has dual vibrating mopping modules, but the mopping plate and water tank can't be removed. Everything else, Feature, App and other things are the same.
@@RobotMasters ok thanks. I have another question, can you install something that can automatically open a door when the vaccine gets to it? Just wondering lol
@Weirdo18 Pools Interesting questions, I believe if you implemented an Automated system with IFTTT or Amazon Custom Voice control. I would make sure the door is already open when the robot arrives so in the map it know to go there. Sometimes if it thinks the door is closed than it won't attempt to go in that room.
I personally would keep the S7 MaxV. Main difference is the S7 MaxV has the video feature where you can use your smartphone to view what the robot sees. Also the performance and Navigation is similar between the two models
The increase in PA (6,000), dual brush rollers and Hot Air Drying feature are the significance updates. The S7 MaxV has the front camera and has all the other features of the S8 Pro. I would say the S8 Pro similar to the S7 MaxV, not a significant upgrade.

@@RobotMasters Thanks, thats big step backward
Where the hell is the water tank ? What happens in case of problem with it and how to clean the robot water tank ? Also why the mop pad plate is non removable ?
Yes the water tank and mopping plate is not removable.
@@RobotMasters So you need to flip the robot each time you need to change the mop, and also in case of problem with the mop plate and/or water tank you are good to send back the entire robot, what a flop !!
@@theattorney6072 Yes odd, design changes from last year model.
@@theattorney6072 the mopping plate on the S7 is nothing else but a weight and velcro in it so nothing can break there, but yeah agreed that was a bad decision for putting/taking out the pad
did they remove the led light from the s7 that was above the 3 action buttons?
Yes that light above the buttons are gone
@@RobotMasters aw really, i liked that... made it look like it was thinking
@@RobotMasters oh i really liked that feature cuz it tells you if its mopping or vac
@@Hunterisadumb Yeah it gave it a futuristic vibe
To me it looks like the S7 MaxV is better with the extra tech. I will wait for the comparison tests to see if the double brush and vibra are much of an improvement.
And they even dropped the Knight Rider Scanner bar that gave the bot some personality, nooooooooooooo 😩
I guess I will have to hold out another year for the S9!
Any new features for Voice Control Vs S7 Max V Ultra?
The voice control is similar, I couldn't find any new commands. Roborock is planning on providing several updates prior to release.
Thank you 😊
Where to shop it?
It currently not available yet, I haven't seen the release date yet.
Wait you still have the roborock s6 maxv, oboes p8 and deebot d77?
Lg Ultra, P8, J7+
@@RobotMasters did you get a lg robot vacuum?
@@coltonsvacuumcollection NO just the one I had before.
@@RobotMasters the cord zero r9?
@@coltonsvacuumcollection I sold that awhile back
hello, if I buy the s8 basic version now, can I purchase the ultra docking station in the future separately and would that work together? thanks!
More than likely Roborock will sell the S8 Pro as a stand alone unit, and allow the user to buy the Ultra dock separately.
If i but s7 maxv ultra with the drying feature is the performance for drying same with the s8 pro? I see alot people complain about stinky mop
Not sure how well the Drying feature attachment did with the S7 Ultra dock. With that being said just from what I have seen so far I haven't noticed any smell. Keep in mind I do throw the mopping pad in the washer every few weeks.
@@RobotMasters tq for reply, which one more worthed this roborock or ecovacs x1 omni?
@@RobotMasters are there lot of differences between s8 pro and s7 maxV ultra?
@Himawan Wite Main differences, S8 Pro has increase PA 6,000, dual rubber brushes instead of 1, Reactive 3D system which lacks the front camera that the S7 MaxV has which is called Reactive AI. Also the dock has been redesigned cosmetically and added the Hot Air Drying Feature. The S8 Pro now has dual vibrating mopping modules, but the mopping plate and water tank can't be removed. Everything else, Feature, App and other things are the same.
Hi, congratulations for your channel. I hope you will also find the new Hobot Legee D8, with its LuLu washing base. Thank you
Thank You, I will have to check out that model.
10:18 that result after mop cleaning isn’t very exciting 😮
Yeah could use some work
Does it have remote two-way microphone in the remote camera mode?
No this model doesn't have a camera system. Look for the S7 MaxV or the Ecovacs X1 series if you want the two way audio and camera system.
Will there be a s8 maxv?
Haven't heard anything yet, but I am sure there will be one towards the end of the year.
Can you review the Bosch roxxter robot vacuum
Those are hard to find, not sure if I could find one here in the USA.
Oh
Nice video. Good info.
Thanks for watching 👀
Can I ask is this better at mopping than iRobot ?
Yes it does better.
@@RobotMasters better than the Braava jet? M6? Xx
@@RobotMasters would you say it mops better than the iRobot j7 combo? That’s what I got right now?? Also does it leave streaks ?
Thank you
X
Ohh so I got the old model 😢 i bought it yesterday…
I personally would keep the S7 MaxV. Main difference is the S7 MaxV has the video feature where you can use your smartphone to view what the robot sees. Also the performance and Navigation is similar between the two models
❤thanks!
How height? 3:48
Wish it wasn't so expensive :(
Not sure what the pricing will be on this model, but depending on your budget you can find the Dreametech w10 for half the price as the Roborock.
so useful . later.:))
Yes
is it far better than s7 max V?
The increase in PA (6,000), dual brush rollers and Hot Air Drying feature are the significance updates. The S7 MaxV has the front camera and has all the other features of the S8 Pro. I would say the S8 Pro similar to the S7 MaxV, not a significant upgrade.
