10:48 SIGN for the win! 🎉 24:22 Check you out, you’ve barely been doing this for a year, and you’re tackling edge cases of TAKE behavior in your multi-step LET - I love to see it! Really nice solve - and totally different to mine (which I’m hoping to get posted this week…)
Thanks, I've been practicing a lot so hopefully it pays off with some better rankings this year. Love to see different approaches on this one so looking forward to that to compare with Ben's and this solve!
What an awesome beautiful solve, brilliantly done! I love how clean you managed to make it, with mostly v short simple formulas at the end, and everything fitting neatly on the screen! Every tweak I might suggest to your solve here comes with some trade off because you've done it so cleanly 😂 The main long formula left is the Michael one, which can be done alternatively basically by tracking all of the HPs off the right and then using a TAKE(FILTER, - which would also let you do the Andrew one more easily, but this comes with the trade off of the model no longer fitting on one screen or looking so pretty! Alternatively you could use the hp before column so you only have to look down then sort by squad id but then you would need a seperate hp before column for the andrew special ability applied after and having 2 hp befores is a bit ugly I'm glad to hear you got something out of it because ultimately that and having fun are what is what it's all about! I hope you found some fun in it also! ⚔️. Sorry not to see the t-shirt 😂
@@Harryjackgross thanks for the detailed feedback. I saw Ben's video tracking hp to the side and while doing Michael's ability I thought, damn I might need to track everyone hp at every step. It would make it simpler but like you said less clean and I'm not sure if it would take more time setting it up. Thanks for the concat trick as well on that array to put it in one. Good trick to know! Yes the case was super fun. I spent a lot of time to get to a solution like this, it's one that sounds simple to do then when you start modelling you realise how tricky it is. Game cases are my weakest link so great to get in the deep end with one. T-shirt was in the wash and I was impatient to get the video out. Last of all I'm curious if you intended the bonus 4 and 5 to be done as I did or were you expecting modelling first and then using some form of that to solve them?
@ I think if you started with a row of just the existing hps and used your existing model + andrew's ability to drive the hp changes and saved only the michael time with it it would pay off, but yeah not as beautiful as you did it! It's funny you mention this is a game case I honestly didn't realise it was bit it clearly is 😂 In my head this case is basically asking for an overcomplicated financial modelling corkscrew (i.e. balance calculation) where the client is being a bit annoying in how they want the accounting to work I can't take credit for bonus 5 as the FMWC added this! My original bonus 5 was 'how many Michael titans to defeat everyone in order' which would have been phrophetic at least, although level 7 tested the limits of model dynamicism anyway so I can see why it was removed The idea with bonus 4 was to make a really hype question like Eren vs Reiner tbh ahaha - I basically did it your way on the original solve (I think! It was a while ago now but it'll be in the director cut folder!), so I guess I could say that was the intended solution, but I didn't really have anything in mind as a 'best' solution like I had for mind for levels 4-7 or most questions on my other cases. I wouldn't have expected most people to use division though and am not surprised a lot of people didn't though!
@@Harryjackgross The Michael bonus is a good question, I think it becomes fairly straightforward once you have a good model and you can just slot him in, you could say to only add another one if some of the HPs below are positive. Anyway thanks for a great case design!
Hey, yes I basically have one more solve to do on these type videos then would like to make something more basic on excel like most important formulas to know (for people at a regular excel level of understanding). Then likely something on finance like a basic intro to personal finance.

Hi Hadyn,
Will there be an upload on ‘finance’ in the near future? I would love to hear some useful tips from an accountant.
