People say these are boring looking and I kinda agree but I still want one. Just gotta tint the windows, black rims, and a small spoiler then it's not boring. 😂
I own the 2021 Blue Touring XT and I can safely say that the car is significantly faster to 60 than 8.4 seconds. The slowest time I had was 6.42 seconds and the fastest time I had was 5.975 seconds. The fastest run was done on the straightest and most level surface I could find.
Thanks for sharing. We use the most up to date information from the manufacturer at time of filming. That being said, it did feel faster than their stated time. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the compliment. We love doing what we do. This Subie is awesome and it’s be high on our shopping list. Beautiful and extremely comfortable interior too. Thanks for watching
Love my 2021 legacy except for one feature. The auto engine stop. Apparently it cannot be permanently turned off. Every time i turn it off, it turns back on when I restart the engine. This can be dangerous at time since the restart of the engine is very slow and when you only have a split second to make a turn or start the car, the lag can really put you in a dangerous situation.
Im in total agreement with you. I have it on my 2019 SUV and have to disable it every time. Its all due the the Government's CAFE Fuel standards. Thanks for watching
Earlier this year I rented a Ford with the auto engine stop feature and I came really close to an accident at an intersection. Car was so slow to respond. Was an eye opening experience to never buy a car with that feature where it can’t be turned off permanently. The other annoying feature with newer model cars ( especially Mazda) is the HUD display. One has to turn it off each time the car is started. No way to turn it off permanently. You would think that after putting in so much effort in design and performance, they would think about basic human psychology and what pisses people off in cars. SMH…. But I hope you enjoy your Legacy.
Good review guys. One problem for me - Subaru is supposed to be all about safety but it's a shame they don't offer a blind spot view camera like I have on my '16 Honda Accord. No guesswork! A car is either shown in the blind spot or not. The failing of the light in the mirror concept is when you don't see a car is coming up behind you REALLY FAST - by the time you look at the mirror - it's not lit - and you decide to pull over that car is right on your butt and can be an unsafe situation! It's not failsafe.
The sound system was good, and the backup camera is also good. Check out our how to video here 2022 Subaru Legacy Touring XT - CarTech How To ua-cam.com/video/k8IpWWSXkLY/v-deo.html which will show you the backup camera plus many, many other details regarding the drivers information screen and the infotainment system. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful interior; great car, though the exterior styling seems too bland compared to other mid-size sedans and compared to other Subaru models of all type. The back end of the car which was done video in the shade does not show well enough in my opinion (you said it was too hot and you wanted to be in the shade).
Yeah it was 98 degrees and bright sunlight that day. Too bright for good video and the shade didn’t make things much better. Overall it’s a very nice car and personally I like the restrained conservative styling. Thanks for watching
Excellent video. In my old forester, I remove the rear headrests when I no one is in backseat, for visibility. Can they be removed in the 2022 Legacy? Thanks
We live in Minnesota and I know several people that own these including my son. None of them run snow tires. Just all season tires. Subaru all wheel drive works very well. Thanks for watching
Good morning. I should have asked the dealer when I ordered the 22 Legacy Limited 3 weeks ago, but..... Yesterday I asked the price for an extra set of keys - $350.00. Is this the going rate? Are they less expensive elsewhere? Thanks once again for your well produced, informative videos.
Unfortunately yes, that is right in line with other manufacturers prices for extra keys. They all have push button start and the key fob/transmitters can't be replicated elsewhere so yes you have to buy them from the dealer only and they command the high prices. Thanks for the question
@@TwoGuysandaRide Thanks for the answer! I'll see if they can sell two for $500. They might have if I had the forethought to ask before signing the order. Oh well. It is what it is. Nothing to cry about. Thanks for these great videos.
These keys are crazy expensive. Most dealers then charge around $125 to program the fob to the car. Some buy the key off of the after market. If the dealer cannot program that key, they will still charge you for the failed programming.

Your passengers will be in awe of the acceleration especially from a roll.

the 8.4 seconds is for the 2.5 naturally aspirated engine, not the 2.4 turbo found in the touring xt
You two do a great job on your videos. Kudos to you both! Further, that is the exact car I desire! Subarus are great!

Good point
Regarding the piano black trim, they do offer a woodgrain trim as a $322 option but it's not on the center console unfortunately.

O-60 in 8.4 seconds??? That must be for the non turbo engine. Every test of the turbo engine I’ve seen gets in the low 6 seconds.
It is. At film time we didn’t have the 0-60 time for the XT

25 is the last year of production.
Unfortunately
Subaru builds and a sedan and hatchback in the Impreza model. I wish Subaru would do the same with the legacy.
They do make a "wagon" that grew up to be the Outback! Thanks for watching
3,790 pounds? It's a beast! How does that impact fuel economy?
24 City / 32 Hwy / 27 Combined

How does the legacy perform in the snow? Does this sedan require snow tires?
We live in Minnesota and I know several people that own these including my son. None of them run snow tires. Just all season tires. Subaru all wheel drive works very well. Thanks for watching
@Ash all very good brands, but my personal opinion is that Subaru’s vast experience with All Wheel Drive is hard to beat.
I put snow tires on my legacy and the tires have never spun once!

Does this model require premium Fuel
I don’t think so but visit the Subaru website for more details
