    German military rations have a version of hardtack in it.
    You can live off of it and the 50g chocolate that comes in the ration but be aware if you only eat this two things you will sh.t sticks.
    That`s either good or bad. You have been warned.

      Carry a Bow along. Your shit sticks will become valuable extra ammunition. Of course dont forget your knife to sharpen them too.
      That will be humiliating, getting killed by that of all things.
      Shit happens ay.

      @@flax9999lp Use it as tent poles... tie a string to it and use it to fish... make a drum with bearskin and use them as drum sticks...

    Can hardtack be made from other grains? Rye or spelt or oat flour?

      Yup. The shelf life will vary though
