    I'm so grateful that I get to occasionally work with brands I actually like to create sponsored videos. Their direct support helps keep this channel afloat in the ever unstable world of UA-cam ad revenue. These videos will always be disclosed, of course, and I appreciate everyone's kind support for these partnerships. Royalty Soaps also participates in commission or discount affiliations, like Amazon or RewardStyle, as these opportunities become available, like Amazon and RewardStyle and while the money we make with these links isn't much, every little bit counts and once again, we really appreciate your support! These products will always be marked and disclosed with a "✦".

    You know what would be cool? A mystery subscription where every month or so, you get either a soap that she made off camera, a totally unique "flub" where she was experimenting and this is what happened, or maybe just a random bar from the batches for that month. I think it would be fun! Or if not a subscription, just a side option where you have no idea what you're ordering! Fun fun!

    A little bit of encouragement, which is obvious (but I'll say it anyway), the wonderful thing about soapmaking is when a design "fails", it is still soap. It still cleans and lathers and does everything a soap with a perfectly executed design does.

      This is actually a pretty good idea. I'm sure that plenty of food banks, healthcare centers, schools (when they reopen), and homeless centers would all greatly appreciate the help. For that matter, properly sealed soaps (even if they are visual "flops") would probably make much better gifts for the teachers right now than ANYTHING food or money related (money is some FILTHY stuff). Though, I would hope that the soap is handled correctly during shipping and traveling, as soap can get contaminated from mishandling.

    Question: when you wash soap making dishes, do you need to add additional soap?

    • @meloniebush9240
      @meloniebush9240 4 роки тому +22

      If it's been a few hours and gone through saponification, no. If the dishes are fresh its basically a caustic, oily mess. In that case you need Dawn dishsoap to get the oils off. At least that's the brand I use.

    I’m aware this is a past soap challenge, but I really enjoy watching these and I did try my hand at this design a little over a year ago and it turned out like your first bar. I put it out on my shelf anyway and it sold out. Customers have no idea it was a failed design attempt and love it anyway. I think you should continue with the soap challenges for fun and practice and I love your videos! Use fragrances that slow down trace like grapefruit. I’m just so glad to know there are people out there who’ve been making soap for a long time that still have challenges with designs.
