Hello bro, I also thought the same thing. As we know that rational numbers can be represented in the form of p/q where q≠0. Its a basic concept that when we are putting any number in that form and if the numerator and denominator have common factors they will cut each other and finally go into a form where no more work can be done upon them. So they finally come into a form where it can be stated that they are co primes.
As its a basic concept you need not write but its better if you mention as nobody knows how the person is who will check your copy in Boards
