SO q² IS DIVISIBLE BY
Hence q is also divisible by five,it proves our assumption wrong

But this contradicts the fact that √2 is an irrational number

Putting value of a in equation 1
3b² = (3m)²
3b² = 9 m²

So a and b have 3 as common factor
But a and b are co - prime
This contradiction has arised due to our wrong assumption .
Therefore √ 3 is irrational.

So,
Root 3 = a÷b
(Root 3)^2 = a^2÷b^2 (squaring both side)
Now,
3=a^2÷b^2
3=a^2÷b^2
b^2=a^2÷3----equation 1
So,by equation 1
a^2 is divisible by 3
also,a is also divisible by 3----(by th.-if p is a prime no.and if p is divisible by a^2 then p is also divisible by a where a is a positive integer)-----eqaution 2

(root 3)^2=(3m)^2÷b^2
b^2=3m^2
b^2÷3=m^2
b^2 is divisible by 3
then,b is also divisible by 3--- (by equation 1)
So,our assumption is wrong that root 3 is rational, hence root 3 is irrational------ ( because we have assumed at the starting of the question that a and b are co-prime no. Which means a and b is only divisible by 1
But at the end of the question a and b are both divisible by 3 other than 1 that is why it is not rational but irrational number)
