    Whoa. If they didn't want Wanda to be part of the interview, why invite her?
    From my perspective, it was wrong how not only little space was left for Wanda to talk but race was an on and off topic in which none of these times, the *only* woman of color in the "conversation" got to speak on it. I am very disappointed in how the interview was.
    Chelsea, please know I am a big fan, but watch the clip and hopefully you should be able to see what some of us are talking about.

    I'm a white girl but I also have a disability (use wheelchair) and used to be excluded from other "white girl" convos as a younger girl and teenager. I would have NEVER allowed anyone to be or feel excluded the way Wanda was, it was rude, racist, and self-centered.

      @@randalllaue4042 Hey Randall I am sorry if I came across as speaking for Wanda. I wrote that comment five years ago and I realize I could have worded it much better. Let me try again, with added maturity: Abled-bodied, straight, cis gendered white women of my generation and those prior have a history of intentionally ignoring women of color, disabled women (both white women and women of color), immigrant women, and LGBTQ+ people. Obviously ableism and racism are extremely different experiences and no experience can be equivocated to another. All I'm saying is that as a human being based on my experiences, I was treated like Wanda in conversations similar to the one in this video even though Wanda is the person I look the least like out of all of the people in the conversation. Because of my experience, I am sensitive to what Wanda is experiencing and because I know what that feels like, I felt protective energy towards her. Thank you, again, Randall, for calling out my words and for allowing me the opportunity to better explain my feelings.

    One more thing, did you hear what Chelsey said after reading Wanda's quote? It was something like: "can you imagine if we talked about a brother like that"! Does Chelsey understand that the reason why she has so much freedom to speak her mind on her show comes from the huge privilege of being white, blond with blue eyes? Take that privilege away from her and she would be a nobody.

  • @shanec9840

    I'm Black and I'm not PC; I know the difference between mean spirit-ness and funniness. Wanda can take a race joke. A bunch of her own standup material is about race. I just think that the chemistry connection between Goldie and Amy was much stronger and apparent. They seem to have a lot more in common. Goldie said herself that Amy looks like she could be her daughter. Sometimes people connect more to those that remind them of themselves. I'm glad they were able to create this film.

    • @QueenSoap
      @QueenSoap 6 років тому +5

      This is not about PC. I think it's confusing as to why Wanda was invited if she wasn't going to be part of the discussion.

    • @jammzy2959
      @jammzy2959 5 років тому +2

      I'm black and I'm not PC. I didn't even know that was an official title. To me that means "I'm black as I will never challenge the status quo and will always defend whites until the end." You don't even get the comments or what is going on. The race joke isn't why people are calling this racist. In fact, that was the least uncomfortable part about this because at least they acknowledged Wanda's existence. Don't give me that white sisterhood nonsense. I was the only black lawyer in my group. I went to the best law school in the world and was associated with more prestigious firms than any of them. I'm not "pc/a wuss" so I confronted the situation. One of the partners began by saying that people are comfortable working with people they relate to and other partner cut him off in a way that was obviously I almost peed to suppress my laugh. That was not and excuse that was racsim and they knew it. I don't know how these women feel about black women but the optics were terrible. Be a PC wuss, that's fine. Just dont find yourself defending things that are just wrong.

    • @fong03
      @fong03 3 роки тому

      Jammzy You took this to a whole level it didn’t need to go to. The truth of the matter is that the dolphin story took up way too much time. I’m sure the producers thought it would be a quick, funny story, but it wasn’t either. Chelsea couldn’t just cut them off, but that’s why Wanda didn’t have anything to say for the middle part of the interview.
      I don’t find this interview offensive because they were ignoring Wanda or she was a “set piece.” I love Chelsea, but her “diversity hire” joke was tired. If there was anything to take issue with it was the humor. She can and should do better. You’ve got a great coach, make the most of it.

      Step TF back. WTF are YOU referring to! Goldie is ok. Amy and Chelsea are always saying something disgusting. do they not think they could be funny without all the disgusting shit they talk about? And personally, I don’t like the way Chelsea said while pointing to Wanda, “and this is your diversity hire”. It could’ve been funny if she had said “and Wanda is your diversity hire”. Chelsea is the captain of that ship and she didn’t include Wanda in the first what 3-4 minutes of the whole Conversation. All you need to do to include everyone is to turn your head to look at them, as you’re talking with the other people - it’s a gesture, the person knows they’re being acknowledged.
