Staycations at home are a wonderful thing. Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA is a wonderful spot for a getaway. It has beaches with pine trees, mountain trails, shopping and great restaurants. We also love South Lake Tahoe. Have you ever been to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN? If flying is an option, you should consider it. Based on what you've shared about music, you would love it. Whatever you do (or don't do) I hope you have some restful and enjoyable time off.
Hi Jasen! Yeah, if you’ve had to travel a lot in your past, then I’d imagine it would be hard to get enthused about traveling. It takes a lot of work :)
Thank you for sharing Dave 😊 I think you answered your own question on an RV lol From what I heard from others it’s a lifestyle that someone needs to enjoy. Someone has to enjoy the lifestyle itself, which is also taking care of the RV, mapping things out and so forth, but maybe you will. God Bless You😊
Yes, there’s an awful lot that goes into that lifestyle. I think that we’re more of a “hotel” couple, haha! I enjoy being cool and clean before bed :) BTW, have you ever seen “The Long Long Trailer” With Lucy and Desi? We always watch that before we get too sucked in to the RV thing :)
For what its worth, here is my opinion. Before you ever make the decision to buy an RV, trailer, or camper, rent one first to get a hands on feel to see if you like it or not. If you do decide to make a road trip I would recommend going north were is is usually much cooler. Oregon and Washington are both beautiful states.
Good Evening 😊 Nice Pipe 😍 Rent First Before Buying 👍🏼 Just Have Fun , Pack Light and Off You Go 😂 Thanks For The Chat and Smoke 🌬💨💨 Have a Blessed Day & God Bless You Abundantly 🙏🏽 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Sounds like time for a staycation to me. I used to love to drive places but those times are long gone. We always enjoyed it back when for the kids to see what the country was like or to visit family. Yep, those days are long gone. I hope you figure it out.
@@rickcroucher I'll be 62 when I retire. I had planned on working until 67 (for the higher Social Security payment) but have grown tired of all of the politics where I work (Kern County Department of Human Services.) In some ways I feel guilty for retiring so early, but I have been working since I was 12 and guess that I have put in enough time. I may do some substitute teaching if I want extra money for fun things, but I feel pretty ready to enjoy life without dealing with all of the nonsense.
I also understand the politics of work. How I hated it and wanted to leave so much earlier. But I've been free of all that nonsense for over a decade, thank the good Lord.

Thank you Rick! I’m sure we’ll come up with something!
I retired in 2011. I was 66. I was ready.
