I have a 2005 Accord LX and getting code P0303 cylinder 3 misfire @ 155,000 miles. Coils were good, changed out the spark plugs with NGK IR oem, and replaced all injectors (aftermarket) and was still getting P0303. I needed to replaced the valve cover gasket so I also did the valve adjustment per Honda specs on the hood label. Still getting P0303 and could not figure out what was the problem. So I followed this video and it cleared my code and my smog monitors are all cleared. Which I would have seen this video soon cause I was struggling to get my car light to turn off. Hope this helps someone out there. The EGR passage top cover center bolt has Honda bond so I added Honda bond only to the center bolt. This Chanel is great and has saved me a ton of money on my older model Accord and Civic EX.

Great video and Thanks! I use a Berryman's Chem Dip in the one gallon pail. It's available at most auto supply shops. Let it soak for about 30 minutes and it will clean all of the crusted, hardened carbon off the parts without any scrubbing or damage to the metal. May be a good idea to order a new Honda gasket to get it sealed up.

My 2004 has two gaskets that sandwich an 1/8” thick plate with the same holes as gasket (so it looks like three gaskets stacked on top of each other), and it’s all held together with a rivet on each end. Looks like I’ll be cleaning the old one and throwing it back in... there goes my preparation and planning by ordering the part from Amazon ahead of time. I wonder if I can throw in just the one thin gasket as it looks in the video.

I am going to do this. I feel like this could be the cause of my check engine light that was coming on and off for months. It stopped after lots of long 75-80 mph trips on the highway (about 95% highway). But The problem did go away after the long trips and changing out the counterfeit ngk spark plugs with real ones. I am also concerned that the coils I bought for the price of one denso may be another issue. But honestly, the check engine light hasnt come on in a few months now and she seems to be running good. But I still want to do this. It couldnt hurt right? Also god bless the cleaner and those people's lives who it has taken who didn't wear proper PPE.

First off when you drop a boat like that you don't open up the chamber and then try and get the bolt out of there you dropped it'll fall into the chamber. Second off you don't clean up parts with brake cleaner and cleaning with it at trial body cleaner or am proved EGR clean it will ruin the rubber on the gasket, not to mention mess up the sensors like the map sensor in all the other sensors that are in that manifold. CERN and just as important as first two you do not reuse megr gaskets like that once you take them apart they cannot be retort down properly and seal properly. I wouldn't want to bring my vehicle in for you to work on at your shop, if you're not going to do the job right the first time, and you do not use a torque wrench to torque to reach you are cover back down onto the manifold, are you didn't show it.

I’d check the code and see what it is.

Clint Eastwood there’s no P0457, there’s P0455 and P0456 which is either a gross leak or very small leak, it’s probably your fuel cap is loose.
As for P0497, there is none for the Prius. Is this even for the Prius because those codes you gave me aren’t in the repair manual.

Delete your egr! It fucks up your engine and makes it slower. Fire needs air to burn and putting burnt gas back in makes it run hotter and makes it no ignite fuel well.
