I feel the same way Tommy. I am on year 4. First time was 2019. In 2020 after Covid hit I made it all the way through the OT but got off track and never completed the whole NT that year. I started over and completed the whole Bible in 2021 and started again in 2022. I like going cover to cover but someday I may try the chronological way just for fun…lol. This year the Lord really opened up my eyes in Leviticus. It’s my 4th time to read that book but it really hit me hard this year. How grateful I am for the one time (It is finished) substitutionary atonement Jesus made for me that I do not have to offer a goat or a bull every time I sin. How grateful I am that I can go boldly before the throne of grace…and ask for help in my time if need. I’m grateful that I finally understand that being a Christian doesn’t make me perfect just forgiven…I can repent and receive forgiveness when I sin. I can know that I have eternal life b/c I’m not relying on my own goodness (none are good but God) but fully trusting in Jesus’ name. Reading the Bible will always be on my “to do” list. I love learning about God and that is how He speaks to us. I’ve made new friends at Church…they’re on the same page. ☺️

I was raised Anglican. Frankly, I don't see myself before as a true follower of Christ, until I was born again. I started to realize that salvation works through the mercy of Christ that he loves us so much that he died on the cross.
Life true meaning can only find it in one way by believing to Christ and live with him day by day.

Plus when He died upon the cross He has paid the penalty for all of the sins whom the Father gave to Him before the world began , Eph. 1 : 3 - 7 , How do you know that you are one of His Chosen people you might ask , because to those whom He has chosen He also gives to them the gift of Faith in His Son Jesus Christ . Cheers and God Bless ! .

All you need to do is ask for salvation. It's as simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less. You (and I) owe a debt to God because we are sinners. We can never pay that debt but Christ paid it completely. Salvation is a gift, something you did nothing to gain. His work on the Cross paid that debt forever...it can never be lost or destroyed. ❤Accept Him & you're saved.

which is why being born again is so important. John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.
So that we received the gift of the Holy Spirit
and It is the Holy Spirit in our life who enables our actions to be see as righteousness in the sight of God which a person receives who is being baptized by immersion as per Acts 2:38
Which is why baptism by immersion as per Acts 2:38 is so important
He that overcome all sin in their life. shall have the right to the Tree of Life.
We are to overcome all sin in your life with the help of the Holy Spirit.
We are to Be perfect in Christ. which is a moment by moment and on a day by day process of obedience to the will of God out of Love, with the help of the Holy Spirit in our life.
Once a person has repented of their sins, at that moment because they have been forgiven of sin at that moment they are perfect in Christ and as long as they do not sin again they are still perfect in Christ.
and if for some reason we do sin again then we need to ask for forgiveness again. And at the moment we are perfect in Christ.
The objective in being forgiven is to use that forgiveness to overcome all sin in your life by giving up whatever sin or sins it is in your life that you are asking to be forgiven of.
      Salvation is a two-step process.
Being justified by what Jesus Christ did for us by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior is the first step in salvation
and then after being justified by what Jesus Christ did for us because you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior then the second step in salvation is sanctification and sanctification is a moment by moment and a day by day process of obedience to the will of God out of love all of the days of your life after accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
Remember 1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Becoming perfect in Christ. Is that Possible. Answer. Yes it is.
it is possible to be perfect in Christ on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of the Holy Spirit. once a person has repented of their sins at that moment because they have been forgiven of sin, at that moment they are perfect in Christ and as long as they do not sin again they are still perfect in Christ.
and if for some reason we do sin again then we need to ask for forgiveness and again we are perfect in Christ.
The objective in being forgiven is to use that forgiveness to overcome all sin in your life.
Also God wants us to be literal about the sins or sin that we are asking to be forgiven of.
And part of asking for forgiveness is, that we will choose to give up in our lives whatever sin or sins it is that we are asking to be forgiven of.
and God's grace covers the sins that we have committed that we are not aware of that we have committed.
So yes it is possible on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of the Holy Spirit to be perfect in Christ.
Rom 8:29,30 For those God foreknew (who works out all things) he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Beloved: God would not ask us to do something if it was not possible to do.
With God all things are possible to those who believe.
Be Holy just as He has called you to be holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." 1 Peter 1:15-16
It is possible to be perfect in Christ on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of God the Holy Spirit by confessing our sin or sins and by choosing not to sin.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
The moment a person is forgiven of what ever sin or sins it is that they have asked to be forgiven of. At that moment they are perfect in Christ
God also wants us to be specific about what we are asking to be forgiven of.
And if you choose to sin again after being forgiven then you are to ask Jesus for forgiveness again.
and Part of asking for forgiveness also means that you will choose to give up in your life whatever sin it is that you are asking to be forgiven of.
otherwise a person is taking advantage of God's grace.
With God in our lives, all things are possible.
The moment a person is forgiven of whatever sin it is that they have asked to be forgiven of. At that moment they are perfect in Christ because Christ is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins
And as long as you do not sin again, you will remain perfect in Christ because you have not sinned again.
But if you do sin thereafter then you are ask to Jesus to forgive you again who is faithful and just to do so and at that moment again you are perfect in Christ again.
But Part of asking for forgiveness also means that you will choose to give up in your life whatever sin it is that you are asking to be forgiven of. Otherwise a person is taking advantage of God's grace.
Keeping trying to overcome all sin in your life and never give up trying is my advice
Complete surrender to the will of God by doing His will is a requirement to salvation.
How to totally surrender to God.
Constantly, throughout the day, continue to ask God what He wants you to do and then wait and listen to what He says through the Holy Spirit and He will let you know what he wants you to do.
And if you get done with what He asked you to do then ask God again what it is that He wants you to do and then wait and listen to what He says and He will let you know through the Holy Spirit what he wants you to do next.
Repeat this process over and over again throughout the day. always, everyday and forever. For sin is no longer the master of a person who has been born again as per Acts 2:38 Baptism by immersion

My dad was Catholic and my mom was the quintessential non-denominational Christian. Their marriage was the 2nd for them both. The Catholic church didn't recognize their marriage; this was in the mid 50s. My dad wouldn't let my mom take us to any church but the Catholic church, so my mom became our Bible teacher. I loved God from a young age and became a born again Christian at 14. Years later, my dad was dying from cancer and I read the passage about being born again to him from his Bible. I told him the importance, then prayed for him later. The next time I went to visit my parents he called me over, patting the couch next to where he was laying. He said, "I prayed that prayer." I was ecstatic! Both of my parents have moved to Heaven and I'm so glad I will see them again one day. I love your videos!

We are judged by many things at the end, so we must endure until then, no OSAS.
Remember Romans 10:9 is contextual theology, back in Rome circa 60 ad if you confessed, you may be stoned, beaten, tortured, condemned. So that was a true sign of faith to go as far as to say it in public. It was a type of “work” faith through action so to speak.

I was raised Roman Catholic. I left when I was 15. I asked too many questions for them. I asked them why I should a priest father when the Bible clearly states call no man father before me. I asked hwy should i pray to Mary? Why are we pray to saints? Why am i asked to kiss the feet of statues, are they not idols? They would say it is ritual, I would say is it not stated in the Bible we are not to participate in in rituals. They could not answer any of my questions honestly. I left the church. I then went to many churches. I have found that most are about money. They are about getting rich off the congregation. I prayed hard for many years and felt led by God to become Ordained. I am now an Evangelical Pastor. I preach where God leads me. My church is open air. I do not get paid. More often then not i give to the homeless and that is my reward. He has brought me from the brinks of death more than once. He has led me from the gates of hell. I know without a shadow of a doubt Jesus is my Lord and Savior. No other can save me. He is the only one. I am a sinner and by God grace i am forgiven. Amen

A statue or image of a person is NOT an idol. An idol is MUCH MORE than a simple statue or image. An image only becomes an IDOL when it is worshipped (and Catholics do not Worship images).
Likewise, the act of kissing an image of someone is NOT an act of Worshipping that image; it is simply a gesture that is a physical expression of the love we have for the person depicted in the image, and NOT the image ITSELF.

Unfortunately, in trying to "take apart" what I said, you made the mistake of isolating Bible verses that weren't meant to be interpreted in isolation.
A good example is Exodus 20:4 and Exodus 20:5. Exodus 20:4 condemns the MAKING of graven images while Exodus 20:5 condemns the WORSHIPPING of graven images (" you shall not bow down to them or worship them").
These two verses make up ONE single commandment. They are NOT meant to be viewed seperately.
In other words, a person is guilty of idolatry only when he MAKES a graven image AND then goes ahead to WORSHIP it. If a person MAKES a graven image WITHOUT going ahead to worship it , he has NOT committed idolatry.
There are many examples in the Bible of people who MADE graven images WITHOUT worshipping them. And in those cases, God DID NOT accuse them of idolatry. For instance, in 1 kings 10: 18 - 20, Solomon MADE graven images of lions as decoration for his throne. He DIDN'T make them for the purpose of WORSHIPPING them. The Bible never described that act as idolatry. Why ? Because those graven images were DECORATIONS or BEAUTIFYING ARTWORK; they were NOT idols.
How about the coin with the graven image of the emperor on it ? Did Jesus describe that image as an IDOL ? No. Instead, He permitted the Jews to use the coin for payment of taxes (Mark 12:12 - 17). This is because even though they MADE that graven image on the coin, they didn't make it for the purpose of WORSHIPPING it but for the purpose of using it as money for making payments.
It is quite ridiculous to describe EVERY graven image made by man as an idol, irrespective of whether or not they are being worshipped.
When you say that kissing an object is showing love to THAT object and nothing else, you are simply giving me YOUR OWN opinion, because you haven't provided any evidence that God sees the kissing of ANY object as a way of loving AND Worshipping THAT object.

@@ForumLight Jesus is not the human vessel God resides in, He is God, that’s a heresy. That’s like saying Jesus is a man, except that God inhabited Him. Jesus is One Person, and is both fully man and fully God, two natures in One Person, that’s called the Mystery of the Hypostatic Union. That’s a very ancient heresy, that Jesus is two persons, a human and another divine. And actually, people used Mother of God as a rebuttal against this heresy. Your birth a Person, not a Nature. Mary helped Conceive, She Bore, and Birthed, the Person of Christ, who is both fully Man and God. So, when you say Mary just birthed the human aspect of Jesus or say Mary is the Mother of Jesus not the Mother of God, you are effectively doing what the ancient heretics did. By saying Mary only birthed the human side of Jesus, you effectively split Jesus into two Persons, as He is One Person with Two Natures, and that is who Mary Birthed. So, you can’t say that Mary isn’t the Mother of God, because She is the Mother of Jesus, who is God. You would be splitting Jesus into two separate people. Catholics don’t believe Mary created God, but we do believe She is the Mother of Jesus, and your the Mother of a Person, not a Nature, otherwise your separating Christ into two persons, hence, Mary is the Mother of God.

@@ForumLight Catholics believe Mary was saved by the Power of the Cross, but She was saved in a different way than us. She was saved by God keeping Her from sin, instead of saving Her from sin She committed. God often saves people by keeping them from committing sin, such as when he keeps a man from having relations with Abraham’s wife in Genesis. Think of a pit, Jesus saves us by throwing a rope for us to get out of the pit, Jesus saves Mary by stopping Her from falling in. So, this verse doesn’t refute Catholic doctrine, because Catholics believe Mary was and is, saved. And that She has a very special role in the salvation plan as the New Eve, and such.

I also think that there is a difference between - pray to Mary like in the first seconds of this video - AND - ask her for praying for us to God -. I don't want to open a dispute in this point. But I understand, if here in this world we also ask for prayers, so some people don't see anything wrong in the practice to ask Mary for praying for them by God.

Well, here is one of the reasons as to why you will not see Mary the Mother of God, the Intercessor on behalf of the World, being mentioned in the Bible as the Mother of James, Joseph, Simon and Judas: It is crystal clear that Paul is speaking about the Apostles in Galatians 1:19"But I did not see any other of the Apostles, only James the brother of the Lord". He says that he saw only James, the brother of Jesus. We know that 2 of the 12 Apostles were named James, James the son of Zebedee and James the son of Alphaeus. So if we go back to Matthew 13:55, we find that James is mentioned as a brother of Jesus as well. Both the Apostles had different Fathers. So how can Mary be the Mother of one of the Apostles? See also Luke 6:12-16 :Jesus chooses the 12 Apostles. Like it or not, Mary is the Queen of heaven and all generations shall call her blessed as in Luke 1:48.

I’m a Catholic revert and I came to this video to learn on what my separate brethren believe of the Catholic Church. I’m not afraid of learning from others and their beliefs. Based on this video, and the various ex-Catholic comments, I can truly say that many have a negative/wrong view of the Catholic Church. I searched in other churches for the “truth”. Non-denom, Lutheran, Mormon etc but nothing resembles the Catholic Church teachings. If you dive back to history, the early church fathers, the works of the disciples it all goes back to Christ. Where as these other churches grew from “man” and man’s beliefs. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ and at least we believe in the same God. But to all my ex-Catholics/non-Catholics I urge to reconsider and actually deep dive and learn more of what the church teaches. I admit some take some devotions too far, yes not everyone is synchronized in the beliefs, and yes many don’t know how to defend our faith. However, we shouldn’t shy away from true doctrine that ultimately turns back to Christ. I highly urge everyone to watch Dr. Taylor Marshall here on UA-cam. I think at least, to be fair, if you want to NOT be Catholic at least you should really learn why you’re not and at least be OPEN to understanding what the church teaches. I mean, isn’t that what Jesus asks from us, for our hearts? Why do you think he told the Pharisee’s “what is easier: to tell a man that his sins are forgiven or to get up and walk?” Even Jesus knew that the Pharisees hearts were so closed to the belief that the son of god could forgive sins and that he could also ask a paralytic man walk. I have had negative experiences within the Catholic Church but that doesn’t mean I turn away at the truth. I learn to follow Christ and his true teaching. People fail but God never does. His truth is exactly that and we shouldn’t try to turn our backs because people fail. I have also had negative experiences with the non-denom/Protestant but that doesn’t mean they’re “bad” people. I’m a no-one and truthfully someone who has a lot yet to learn. But there’s one thing I do know- I just hope when God calls me to his glory, I hope he see’s that I did everything to learn his truth. I encourage you to do the same.
I pray, that we all come to one truth, one church as he intended. God bless, peace be with you all, and that our blessed mother intercede for everyone in the comments and the maker of the video. ✝️🌹

With respect, I have some information that challenges Catholic theology, and while I can agree with some of your statements on the need to be unified under Christ, this is a matter of major differences on essential issues, like a grace-based or works-based Gospel, one of which cannot save. I have a question: Jesus taught the Eucharist in John 6, and wasn't crucified until around John 19-20. Given the Catholic church's teaching on transubstantiation (wine turns into blood), *did the wine turn into blood at the first Eucharist (ie. Jesus' living, unsacrificed blood)?* And *how do you reconcile that with passages that prohibit drinking blood in both the Old and New Testaments (Lev **17:11**-14, Acts 15:29)?*
*"...the flesh counts for nothing..."* (John 6:63)
The Protestant position on this is that the Eucharist (we call it "Communion") Is a spiritual ceremony, which Jesus Himself said in context in John 6:63. When the disciples were expressing concern over Jesus' command to "drink His blood," He responded and told them *"the flesh counts for nothing"* and further explained that His teaching was "spirit and life" (John 6:63). *If Jesus Himself said that "the flesh counts for nothing" in context of the Eucharist, then how do you reconcile that with the Catholic teaching that you must consume literal human flesh and blood in order to be saved?* This isn't a problem in Protestant theology, but it is a problem for Catholic theology which ignores John 6:63 and contradicts Leviticus 17:11-14 and Acts 15:29.
*"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."* (Ephesians 2:8-9)
While I have reason to disagree with some of what you're teaching, I appreciate what you're trying to do and I hope this is well received. Blessings to you and yours.

Dear one... the moment you ask Mary to intercede, which is praying to her, you’ve negated everything Jesus has done for us. His sacrifice means nothing because you’ve elevated Mary to His position. Jesus is the intercessor. Not Mary. She was a sinner, like everyone else. She needed Jesus to save her too. She hears nothing you say to her. And btw...according to the Bible, ALL those who have trusted &. believed in ONLY Jesus for salvation are saints. And the church consists of those same Believers. It’s not the catholic organization. You also do not need priests...the veil was torn. Jesus is the High Priest. We need no one else! Just a few facts for you to think about.

First, Catholics do not go back to the time of Christ. I've done the deep dive. I know without a doubt this is true. They didn't arrive on the scene until around 300AD. There's always been a group of born again baptized believers holding to scripture as final authority which we are to do. Different names then but ultimately named Ana Baptist and now more commonly Baptist. Baptist aren't protestant. They were never part of Rome and predates catholicism by nearly 300 years. Traced throughout every century by doctrine and distinctives. Those who hold closest to scripture. I wasn't always a Baptist but after a lot of prayer and guidance from the Holy Ghost I was left without a choice. Real history of the church is an incredible study. Eye opening.

I have been saved many years, but could never really grasp saving grace, though I knew I was saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, every time I sinned I felt terrible and worried that I wasn't saved. Even though my feeling terrible was actually proof of salvation because I was being convicted and chastened. God only convicts and chastens those that are His. But I was raised to believe that if you're truly saved you won't sin because you can't sin, so if you sin then you weren't actually saved.Needless to say I stayed in such a fearful state, fearing death so much! But I listened to a Paul Washer sermon and I believe God used his sermon to teach me that we are saved by grace period, no buts no ands grace alone period! I realized that even if it was possible to never commit sin I still couldn't stand before a thrice Holy God because I was born in sin, God is a consuming fire and I would be consumed if I went before Him in my self righteousness!!! But OH!! Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him!!!!! It takes the blood of Jesus Christ covering my sinful state and soul, so that through Christ I can come BOLDLY before thrice HOLY GOD and praise Him and cast my cares upon Him. I hope this will help someone else who may have been taught this wrong way. God bless my brethren and save the lost. Thank you sir for teaching me how to witness to the lost, I hope to be able to witness in such a way one day! Glory be to God for blessing you with such a gift! Adding something after reading the comments, I absolutely know we MUST REPENT and turn from our sins, but if you do sin after you are saved, that doesn't nullify your redemption. That is the point I was making, but people thought I was saying you don't need to repent, well you DO have to repent and also CONFESS with your mouth that you are a sinner and know that it takes the blood of Jesus to wash those sins away. Hope that clears things up a bit.

Please Show me where in the Bible (by quoting) that Christ "founded" Catholicism / the Catholic Church
And please do NOT state that Matthew 16:18 is the passage that mentions that as it does NOT do so, even tho that passage is often taken out of context by Catholics to give credence to the Catholic Church

The early RCC combined Paganism and Christianity together as one and created Catholicism so they could appease the Roman people at that time as majority of them was Pagan, which is also another reason why they used the term Catholic as they did not want to be seen as Christians and upset the Pagans who they wanted to join their new religion of Catholicism

I was raised a Catholic and even went to their schools. I was taught many things about the Catholic doctrine. But, I have to say that even as a child of 6 years old I was having trouble with some of the teaching. When I read the Bible for myself, I had issues with some things I was taught. For instance the Bible says in Matthew not to call any man father because we have One Father in heaven. But the Catholic church calls their priests father.
The bible is very clear that their is one mediator between God and man. He is Jesus. A person can say that a priest will forgive your sins if you confess them to him but the fact is when Jesus died on the cross he made a way for us to go directly to the Father. If you look at Matthew 27:51, the veil was torn from top to bottom. Showing us that the separation between us and God was removed. You see a man cannot forgive sins only God, and a priest no matter what they say is just a man. No man can take God’s place in any form.

Daniel- see my (unfortunately long) response above regarding the use of the word 'Father'. If Ray's literal interpretation was right, you couldn't call your Dad 'father', and we would have no understanding to know what a 'father' is when God is described AS our (perfect) Father! He takes it (wrongly in this case) literally-- the same Chapter would also have us NEVER use the word teacher or master-- so the words Doctor, Mister, Mrs, Father, and Teacher would all be banned from Christian use... Except Paul in the NT calls HIMSELF a Father... Jesus meant don't use titles to appear important and get the 'best seat at the table'. In terms of one mediator between God and man- you are right in the primary sense-- that person is the God/Man Jesus Christ, our Savior (see 1Tim2:5 for the Bible showing this). However, Jesus DOES use others. For example, there are two places in the Bible where God 'breathes' on something-- the first is in Genesis, when He breathes on clay to create Adam. The second is when Jesus breathes on the Apostles in John 20 and gives them the power (HIS POWER) to forgive sins: " “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:22-23). So our Catholic Priests aren't forgiving sins on their own (they are men like you and me)-- Jesus Christ/God is acting THROUGH them. And we certainly know that it wasn't only way back when the apostles were here that a culture was sinful and needed a LOT of forgiveness! Finally, even St Paul speaks of how God is working through the ministry-- Paul is continuing Christ's ministry of reconciliation, not "AS PAUL", but God working THROUGH Paul. Same with Priests-- God can work through them, even though they be sinners! Bible quote: Paul, “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18). May God richly bless you and your family --- people are waiting to hear the saving Gospel :)

@@kevinzrenda8753 But what need is there for priests to forgive sins when Jesus died for ours? He told us to repent and sin no more. To go in our private rooms and pray. He called those who did what many Catholic leaders do for show hypocrites. And He never said anyone was more worthy than anyone else … negating the entire identity of the Pope! How can man exalt another and claim he is most holy on earth? That’s not for us to do. The Catholic Church messed me up so bad because the theology was wrong in my spirit. Wow. Okay in this case, the true interpretation of the Bible didn’t form until 1500 hundred years after Christ, the early Christians, martyrs and saints of the first several centuries are all wrong, “faith alone” is all that’s needed for salvation rather than actually being born again living as a good person and following Jesus. Yeah it’s all that’s needed despite the fact that the phrase “faith alone” is only used once in the New Testament in James 2:24, where it says the opposite of Protestantism’s foundation: “as you can see a man is justified by his deeds and NOT by faith alone”.
This video is so realistic and scholarly, the people interviewed here represent Catholicism rather than the scholarly priests who gave their lives up selflessly, the selfless nuns, the modern saints like Mother Teresa and the early saints like Augustine or guys with close succession to the Apostles.
Come on. If this man interviewed good Catholic priests, he would be in a tough spot, as they’d explain the other side in a highly scholarly, much more detailed fashion, using essentially the same Bible that pastors use,(see for yourself the Catholic Bible didn’t actually emit those verses) but The Church rather preserved them for the first 1.5 thousand years of Christianity. After not being able to win that argument, he may then have to explain why it even matters if his accusations about their teachings on the Torah are true-if “faith alone” can cover Protestants through sins that the New Testament actually mentions and specifically says will knock someone out of heaven on judgement day, then “faith alone” can also cover someone who breaks a Mosaic Law.
Even further, hypothetically, even in this imaginary world where his arguments against the Catholic Church praying to Mary and worshipping (not just having) statues were the truth, that flaw would pale in comparison to Sola Fide with regard to the actual impact they have on someone’s life. Protestantism teaches a completely different way of salvation at its core (Sola Fide) which actually does effect people’s choices vastly more than anything else. Where faith is all that’s needed for salvation, being pure of heart, following Jesus in the midst of suffering, loving the unwanted and unloved, is just “dirty rags” to God, as countless pastors like to speak of. It’s no wonder Protestantism has the highest divorce rate out of all religions in America, about double that of Catholicism, several fold higher than atheism, and about twenty fold higher than orthodox Christianity. It should also come as no surprise the dominant religion in America is Protestant and the dominant religion of the vast majority of Europe is Catholic, excluding a few exceedingly liberal countries in Scandinavia, England and the birthplace of Protestantism in Germany.

You may not see immediate results with some, but Jesus even made the example, if you plant this seed of truth into fertile soil (a willing soul) it *will* take root and grow. @TrevoltIV 8 місяців тому

Yep and then when they aren't idolizing Mary they're confessing their sins to a priest instead of God, or something else like that. It's really such a demonic abomination of a religion. Understanding the catholic church has made me understand what Revelation talks about when it says this:
      Revelation 17:3-6
"So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration."
A "beast" represents a kingdom, AKA Rome in this example.
A "woman" represents a church or religion.
So in Rev 17 we see that there is a church sitting on top of a kingdom, which is arrayed in purple and scarlet, decked with gold, precious stones, and pearls, and holding a golden cup filled with abominations. It also says they are drunk with the blood of the saints. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this is clearly referring to the Roman Catholic Church, the Beast with 7 heads and 10 horns must therefore be Rome. Also, another indicator that Rome is where the antichrist comes from is found in Daniel 9, where it indicates that the same people who destroyed the temple after Jesus was crucified is the people that the antichrist would come from. The Romans were the ones who destroyed the temple in 70AD.

Also we do not worship the bible, we worship the God which it speaks of. Bibles are just books which contain the truths of the history of God with his creations. Worshiping a book can be idolatry too. We worship the Son of God who is present on the altar at mass in the Catholic Church. Jesus did not write letters, his followers did. Jesus spoke, healed and forgave and even resurrected people. He did not tell us to write(you can correct me if I'm wrong), but he did say to go and baptize, preach the good news and to forgive, to his disciples. I must take issue with the author of this video. What he thinks is the second commandment is actually part of the first commandment. Let me explain.
If Our Lord intended the proscription against graven images to be absolute then He would subsequently have been cause of Israel falling into sin when He commanded the fashioning of cherubim to be placed on the ark of the covenant. Since God abhors sin, we must conclude that there are instances where graven images are permissible, or even necessary.
God instructs us that we are not to worship false gods and, logically, not to make graven images of false gods. So the passages quoted by the author of this video as "The Second Commandment" are incorrectly labeled as such.

@@gingerc2840 Exactly 💯. Amen Catholicism isn't Christianity being that it adds to The Gospel by having unscriptural doctrines of sacraments, extra biblical religious traditions, esteeming The Virgin Mary on the level of God Almighty and The Papacy in general. Thanks to brother Ray Comfort and Living Waters ministry for their work in the furtherance of The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏❤️. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

I grew up Catholic and fell away from the faith. In my late '50's I came back to my faith. I read the Bible while waiting for Mass to begin every weekend. I was too young to really comprehend my faith at such a young age. However, once I decided to investigate my Catholic faith thoroughly, I started to understand my faith. It took a LOT more than just reading the Bible. Don't misunderstand, the Bible is an important part. Some of the Protestant faiths changed the Catholic Bible to fit their beliefs. Born again is Protestantism. Our original sin is washed away during baptism. We ask for the Blessed Mother to intercede for us. The Rosary has a decade in that when the water was turned to wine. How many saints do Protestants have? Not one I can think of. Martin Luther formed Protestantism and he had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. That faded away after awhile. So yes, I do not agree with just being so called born again. Jesus died on the cross for us so we can inherit eternal life. Repent and be saved by the body and blood of Jesus. God bless

I'm not arguing for or against. I'm a Catholic who reads scripture and I choose to pray only to God in the name of Jesus. As an FYI in case you didn't know, the additional books the Catholics have are not part of the new testament. The books in the apocrypha were written before the time of Christ, and not Christian teachings. They're also not part of the Jewish Tanakh. So they are not in the "Jewish Bible". One reason they are not considered the inspired word of God is because there is nothing written in them that is quoted or supported in the New Testament. Something else to keep in mind the, The deuterocanonical books contain no prophecy. Between the prophet Malachi and John the Baptist is a span of about 420 years of no new prophesy. The protestants refer to this time as the Intertestamental period. The Catholics refer to it as the deuterocanonical period, when the additional books were written. going by memory so don't quote me on this part, I believe the deuterocanonical books were added to cannon second or third century, which I believe is something to take into consideration. The protestants claim Catholics added them as a response to Luther, around 500 years ago. That can't be true because the books are part of the Orthodox church which split from the Catholic church about 500 years before that, and they have the deuterocanonical books in their bible, so they were definitely added prior to the reform period. In my mind, any doctrine in the church should be scrutinized if it came after the teachings of Christ and the testimony and teachings of his Apostles.

      The Word “Baptize”:
Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water when they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage?

      I agree, Mark;
And, he is a solid Christian.
I'm just a Christian saved by the blood of the Lamb of God (Jesus, the Christ). I know what it is to be saved, because I am!
Mac Arthur is not an enemy of the Bride of Christ, he just has a certain peculiar view of how Our Father sees us. He thinks that everyone who is going to be saved is already saved. Well then, John MacArthur, why did Jesus say to go and preach the Gospel to every creature?
I believe MacArthur is a true Christian Brother. He thinks differently about a certain few verses, but he proclaims Christ as The One, and he is right in that.
To put it in another way, read the boldest Christian commitment statement from Christ the Lord Himself. You already know it:
John 3:16, (and read vs 14, 15 and 17 while we are at it), and 2 Peter vs 9 ( The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.)
That is anti-Calvinist right out of the mouth of Jesus and Peter, as far as I am concerned, and I'm a good reader. We need to study the word when one of the apostles talks about "chosen", "predestined" and the other words the Calvinists lay their lives on. NOT that Calvinists are not our Christian Brothers/Sisters. THEY ARE. Making a mistake does not keep them from the mercy of God Almighty.
We need to love all the membership of the true faith. Christ is God. Period. He died for our sins and rose from the grave as the First Fruits of the Resurrection, and by HIM we are saved. If one gets a little mixed up in the scriptures, pray for them, but we must still treat all Christians as Children of God and the Bride of Christ.

As far as the $14 million goes, there have been lots of wealthy people in the church. Maybe he's a good investor. Maybe he's a good writer. Whatever.
Consider Dorcus in the New Testament; She was a very wealthy woman, and was considered one of the pillars of the early church.

I am Catholic, but I often wonder. I think the Catholic church justifies itself as the only way because Jesus entrusted Peter to basicslly continue in His name.
At the same time, I don’t like how the church wants to ‘tell us’ how to interpret the Bible rather than we understanding by reading ourselves, and reconciling with Jesus on our own. Confession for example…why do I need to talk to Jesus through a priest? I am not being sarcastic, but these are the things I think about. I honestly am not sure.

“Brethren” in ancient Hebrew has no distinction between cousins and brothers and sisters. This is quite clear when James the less is referred to as Jesus’s brother and yet Mary of Cleophas is his mother.
Peter did have a wife, he left everything when he went with Christ and this is stated clearly, furthermore that his wife is never mentioned in Acts.
The ENTIRE Catholic liturgy is biblical, even the sadly abridged liturgy of the Novus Ordo Mass, any Catholic who says they don’t know the Bible hasn’t applied themselves to the Mass. The fact that George Carlin and laymen who left The Church are your examples of authority are laughable.
The Latin Vulgate, Douay Rheims version (the original copy of the Bible, according to St Jerome and The Holy Catholic Church - Catholic meaning “universal” btw) says
Exodus 20:2-7 (1st and second commandment, unabridged)
“I am the Lord they God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.
Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not adore them or serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:
And showing mercy unto thousands to them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that shall take the name of the Lord his God in vain.”
Catholics do NOT worship statues or the blessed Virgin Mary. We venerate the Saints, Mary is considered the most holy of the Saints, and rightly so, being the mother of our Lord by clear choice in her fiat to God as spoken to St Gabriel in Luke 1:38, also the archangel himself greater her “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” Lk 1:28, but maybe that was left out of the KJV?
Lastly to use poor sinners to make your anti Catholic point is quite despicable. Jesus calls us out of our sin, He forgives us for our human nature, this is quite clear and obviously so by His holy cross. I would be amazed if you haven’t committed any sins against the 10 commandments, and it is incredible if not, but please be humble, for none are immaculate save the blessed Virgin and our Lord, and very few ever escape life on earth without mortal sin. This is why our Lord left us the sacrament of reconciliation. Being “born again” is a one time deal? Liken to being baptized? We are baptized and also forgiven for our sins by our Lord when we commit to sinning no more and seek reconciliation through contrition, penance and absolution. We ask for His grace to heal and change.
Please come to understand The Church better before making claims on her and I’d be happy to have a personal conversation with you if you would like some help understand.
May our Lord’s peace be with you sir.

The answer you can't, this why Jesus established a Church first, then the New Testament. Second, there was no way to accept Christ without Catholicism because they where the only Christians in town for most of history. So how would I accept Jesus Christ without someone telling me about Jesus Christ? PS Protestantism naturally leads to atheism. Protestantism in Western Europe is close to being dead.

"As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, *“Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”* He replied, *“Blessed rather* are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:27-28) *If Jesus really wanted us to pray to/through His human mother, then why did He say this?*
That's not only a wasted opportunity, but if He did want us to pray to/through Mary then this seems downright counterproductive to His intent... ?

That's why a true catholic seeks help through her to reach Jesus.
Jesus is the word of god and it came through the womb of blessed mother Mary it means she is the carrier of the holy message into the world.
You quoted (luke 11 : 27-28) she is the only living being lived on earth who fully heard and obeyed each word of lord while on earth especially luke 11:27-28 by living beside Jesus, that's why she became the mother of God. So I believe living beside God the son for 33 years (more than any one in this world) will surely take our prayers to GOD through her sacred heart that became one with the most sacred heart of her son. I want to be like mother Mary the best example who lived on earth who can guide me to become one with Jesus. Jesus is God and we humans can't reach him without help My parents, catholicism, my friends and above all Mother Mary has helped me get to the saviour and I believe he will take me to wherever he is.
Love you brother in jesus ❤ I read many comments but the only inspiration I got was to write to you so I wrote what I was inspired to write. I'm not a theologian nor do I understand the whole scripture but I love Jesus and mother Mary inspires me to love and follow Jesus so I seek her help.

Did the bread and wine turn into His literal unsacrificed flesh and blood at that first Eucharist? Since it is the blood of the sacrifice, did His blood time travel...? *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,"* (1 Timothy 2:5)

@@Melkizadek. 1) Hi Sunny, I am a Biblical-Christian. You can label me as a "protestant," but I do not strictly identify with a specific denomination.
      2) To fulfill the Great Commission, primarily, including sharing the Biblical Gospel and the Biblical Christ.
In line with #2 above, what concerns me about the modern Catholic church is that it teaches a Gospel and other doctrines that contradict Scripture. For example, CCC 2068 says: “the mission of teaching all peoples, and of preaching the Gospel to every creature, so that *all men may attain salvation through faith, Baptism and the observance of the Commandments.”*
      Compare to what Scripture says:
“For we maintain that *a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law,”* (Rom. 3:28)
"For *all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse,* as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." (Galatians 3:10)
“But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,” (Romans 4:5)
Works are important, as are observing the commandments - but when the Catholic church says "men may attain salvation through... observance of the commandments" that is a works-based salvation that operates on one's self-righteousness, not one a faith-based salvation that trusts solely in Jesus' finished work on the cross. Biblically, we do works and obey the commandments as a *result* of our salvation, not in order to *attain* salvation.
“The specific precepts of the natural law, because *their observance, demanded by the creator, is necessary for salvation,”* (CCC 2036)
Compare to: "“For *whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.”* (James 2:10)
Scripture says you cannot keep the law, if you try to rely on works of the law for salvation you are under a curse, and that if you even break the law at one point you are guilty of breaking all of it - but the modern Catholic church teaches that observing the Ten Commandments "is necessary for salvation." What are your thoughts on this? Do you keep enough of the law (the Ten Commandments, etc.) in order to be saved?

@@markkeetley2225 this is the reason you should not interpret scripture on your own . Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, - Romans 15:8
Paul said this so that the Gentiles would understand that the Lord Christ had been sent to the Jews and so they would not be proud. Since the Jews rejected what had been sent to them, it happened that the gospel was also preached to the Gentiles, as is most clearly written in the Acts of the apostles, when the apostles say to the Jews: “It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you … judge yourselves unworthy … behold, we turn to the Gentiles.” It also agrees with the Lord’s own testimony, when he said: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” and: “It is not right for the children’s bread to be thrown to the dogs.” If the Gentiles think carefully, they will realize by their own faith, by which they now believe that to the pure all things are pure, that they should not offend those Jewish converts who, perhaps from weakness, dare not touch certain kinds of meat, fearing that it has been in contact with idols.

Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, - Romans 15:8
Christ Jesus was minister of the circumcision, who came both for the salvation of the Jews, and of the Gentiles, who preached and would have his gospel first preached to the Jews, for the truth of God to confirm the promises made to the fathers, that he, the Messias, should be sent for their salvation; but at the same time also for the salvation and conversion of the Gentiles, which he confirms by divers evident testimonies of the holy Scriptures. (Witham)
He calls our Saviour the minister of circumcision, that is, of the Jews, because he appeared amongst them, dwelt amongst them, and himself preached amongst them. This was a privilege which the Gentiles did no enjoy, having never seen, nor heard Jesus Christ, since he confined his preaching to the strayed sheep of the house of Israel; and this, to accomplish the promises made to their fathers. There's a perception that the Bible takes precedence over the spoken words of God found in Jesus. The question of what holds priority, tradition, or the Bible, adds another layer of complexity. It saddens me to see many individuals feeling lost, and fostering understanding could be a key to addressing these concerns."

Dear friend. I too was raised as a catholic, and went to all catholic schools in which nuns were our teachers… I had been severally traumatised as a child, from emotional, physical and sexual abuse.
I became extremely introverted and fearful, but not one teacher, priest or nun ever came up to me to ask if I was ok… Even though I was sent to Mass every Sunday (me and my sister alone at a young age) again no one even said hello to 2 little girls by themselves. I desperately needed to know about the love of Christ at that time, as I was dying inside, but I never heard about the love of God, nor did I experience it within the hearts of the congregation.
Maybe they themselves hadn’t experienced it either, therefore they couldn’t share what they didn’t know.
But what I wanted to say really, was that the catholic truth which you believe in, is in opposition to Biblical Truth. The words of the Bible are the standard we use to measure the truth or error of any religion or cult. It is the Only truth… It was Jesus himself who said ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life… No one comes to the Father except through Me’. I’m not being critical here, but just pointing out some facts… By calling Ray a liar, you are in fact calling God a liar; as everything Ray speaks is from Gods Word, and Gods word is Truth.
God says of Himself in the Bible ‘I am not a man that I should lie’…
Please check everything you hear with the Bible, no matter who speaks. There is a great deception going on upon the earth in these last days, and we must have the Truth in us to be able to comprehend when we hear error… I’m sending this out of love for your soul. God bless you 🙏♥️🙏

That is a very well, logical point of view. For many of us like to be lead because it makes us feel wanted. We like others to find out things that we are capable of finding out ourselves but we don’t because we are taught to trust. That trust though is based on blind faith with a confirmed bias.
If you are Catholic, you have a duty to be informed by asking questions to your priest. This may enrich your faith and it may get you to read about the history of the church.
If you left the Catholic faith without making inquiries with the church, then you have been lead out by blind faith.
Remember, preachers preach because that is their work. They have a confirmed bias so never take them on face value. They are taught skilfully to manipulate your thoughts. Let them talk to you, then smile and gladly inform them that you will ‘make your own inquiries on their behalf’, thereby switching the tables around.
Do not trust without inquiry. God bless you all.

The RCC's view of the church is completely at odds with the NT. It is the Scripture, and it alone, that is the guide for all Christians. The church on earth must submit to the Scriptures.
In addition , the idea that the RCC is the church that Christ setup, and that all believers must submit to it, is also rejected in the Scriptures in the strongest possible manner.
The RCC bears no resemblance to the church which is portrayed in the NT. Their view is only obtainable if one approaches the Scriptures with such rigid theological misconceptions that they must “mis-interpret” these verses to conform it to their own theological system.
Sir, If you are absolutely commit yourself to the LITERAL, GRAMMATICAL, HISTORICAL HERMENEUTIC you will be able to understand the "Full Counsel of God" and come to the conclusion the church is not the RCC.
KEY POINT: Literal, grammatical, historical hermeneutic is the same approach used in ordinary communication. In fact American jurisprudence rests upon this interpretive approach.
The dictionary defines literal interpretation that is "based on the actual words in their ordinary meaning...not beyond the facts.
In addition, it should be noted in passing that literal interpretation has been unfairly criticised on the basis that it adheres to a wooden, inflexible literalism that fails to allow for types, symbols, figures of speech and genre distinctions. Literalism does not preclude or exclude correct understanding of types, illustrations, apocalypses, and other genres within the basic framework of literal interpretation.
It is not too difficult to account for the widespread approval of the spiritualizing or allegorizing method adopted by many conservative theologians as well as liberal and ROMAN CATHOLIC expositors. Fundamentally its charm lies in its flexibility. The interpreter can change the literal and grammatical sense of Scripture to make it coincide with it own system of interpretation.

Hi Ray, I love all your videos because you bring people closer to God. I am however a Practicing Catholic and I appreciate you bringing these things up. I think most of the Catholics that you interview aren’t practicing Catholics. And by that I mean they don’t read the Bible or go to church. I think I have legitimate arguments for some Protestant beliefs, but for others, I don’t. Just like you, I am concerned mostly with arriving at the truth when it comes to reading the Bible. I want to keep exploring and discussing these things and where we went wrong, find out when and why, and try to make it right. I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t know about the second Comment issue. I’m going to look into that, and if what you’re saying is true, I’m going to shout it from the rooftops! But, I’ll still be a Catholic Because I believe in making things better where I am. I still have a lot of study and Bible reading to do, but you have inspired me to try harder. Thanks for the amazing work you do, and God bless!

I love Catholics and believe many are saved, but I believe they are saved despite the official Catholic church teaching, not because of it.
I was married in Catholic church (wife was Catholic and I was agnostic, but said I was atheist at time). I was later saved in a Christian church and me and wife went through a horrible phase of our marriage.
She didn't care I claimed to be atheist, but when I found God in a Christian church, we almost got divorce.
Long story for a UA-cam comment but happily married 22 years now. My wife has a relationship with Jesus now and recognizes religion was deceiving her.

"Born Again" always meant baptism until a(nother) new group of Protestants gave it a new meaning in the early 1900's. Look up the history of the "Born Again" movement. It really gained momentum after Chuck Colson wrote his book, "Born Again" in 1975, from prison. In 1976, Jimmy Carter was the first U.S. presidential candidate to describe himself as such. In 1980, all three major candidates did so.
Prosperity theology, believing that you'll have health and wealth in this life by believing and donating to those causes, is so deceptive. Our faith is not to be in the "kingdom" of THIS world.

@@janelleroland9678 Actually both the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Saints and the Bible teach us that we are saved by grace alone.

Also, why do they have an approved and non approved version?
I have had a lot of Catholic friends who believed they were saved yet lived in sin freely because they believed they can always go to confess to the priest.
