At the beginning, for most games, you'd think it's just a set piece to have a giant hole in the level. Here you actually run the entire width of the ring 3 times over and go 3 cities underground in ONE LEVEL

The fact that this is also being done by a single man is absolutely incredible. I'm really digging the soundtrack so far as well. Pacific Abyss sounds like if you took Sonic and Shadow's stage themes and mashed them up perfectly. Definitely gonna be boppin' my head to this one for a while

The amount of control you have is fascinating. And with constant action this video even felt short to me. There being different "areas" to the level looks fun as hell. No restriction like "you took the left path, no going back now", run anywhere you like. I hope more people will experience this.
Imagine playing a game where hitting a speed boost on the ground makes it so the speed doesn't just disappear seconds later, but is maintained as you move forward and you can get even faster than that through other means. I keep coming back to this vid. Love the stage and the way Spark traverses it (love the new mechanics BTW!) And THAT BGM! Man I wish the audio was uploaded here! Every song on the demo is here but this one because it's not on the demo! Dang! But I digress! From the looks of things, we seem to be witnessing either Spark escaping from the Fark Force or infiltrating the Fark Force. Will be interesting to see!
I just want to say that I have been eagerly waiting for the release of this game and the more I look at previews, the more excited I've been getting about this game. The variety in level designs has been a treat to see. Esoecially with the spectacle shots I'm seeing in this trailer (basically, that long windy trip towards the bottom of the building structure was a really cool setpiece.) One thing that thoroughly surprised me was the sudden change in combat to make it more robust. For me it's a very welcomed change since I'm a big fan of action oriented gameplay. I cannot wait to see the final product because I know for a fact that it'll blow my expectations out the water.
Daaaamn this game looks so cool While I'll refrain from being toxic by comparing it to Frontiers like everyone else, the momentum looks absolutely stellar and lots of fun to mess around with, and the level design compliments that perfectly
This is what modern Sonic games should be like. Honestly, you could replace the assets with Sonic ones and call it SA3, and I'd be totally fine with it. It's such a perfect evolution of that formula. I tried the demo last night and it was incredible. Day 1 buy whenever it comes out.
This is very impressive, it all looks and sounds so good. I've had the Spark games on my Steam wishlist for a couple years and will definitely give them a try now.

This whole Sparks series needs more love. It's always a good setup, when there are parts to speed through and parts where platforming is required and the player knows it.
As a person who's a bit terrified of exhilarating speeds, falling or heights, I love the fact that this game literally gives me that exact feeling of going so fast. Although I don't have money myself, I will do everything in my power to get this game when it comes out.
@@muhammedraashid3667 idk man holding a button to go fast just doesn’t feel the same and even then its not nearly as fast as some of the sections in this gameplay preview the Boost games also feel very automated at points

Also you boost in this game similar to sonic boosting by pressing a button. How's that any different?! Sonic unleashed goes way faster than this game ever did.
Oh man this is how Sonic needs to be. I'm definitely getting this over Frontiers. Sega And Sonic Teams pathetic excuses to not make an Adventure style game is BS...They also canceled the Remake. I'm literally to the point where i don't want Sega and Sonic Team to even touch the Adventure games anymore.
I would say its good that they didn't remake the adventure series after the failures they have been making with the marketing lately for both sonic frontiers and origins
There's already a lot of comparisons between this and the newest sonic game, but you know the biggest difference from their gameplay trailers? For this I'm NOT thinking "oof this looks rough, maybe it should be delayed", I'm thinking "This looks awesome! I cannot wait to play it!!"

Esoecially with the spectacle shots I'm seeing in this trailer (basically, that long windy trip towards the bottom of the building structure was a really cool setpiece.)
One thing that thoroughly surprised me was the sudden change in combat to make it more robust. For me it's a very welcomed change since I'm a big fan of action oriented gameplay. I cannot wait to see the final product because I know for a fact that it'll blow my expectations out the water.
the action, the speed, the momentum, the MUSIC, all of what i saw was just amazing
What's ironic is this has a more Sonic feel than Sonic does nowadays.
From all your Sonic fan games I like nothing can break 1st Place than Spark the Electric Jester!
It’s just too amazing for me! 🤩😎
3:33 Spark gets high lmfao
Daaaamn this game looks so cool
While I'll refrain from being toxic by comparing it to Frontiers like everyone else, the momentum looks absolutely stellar and lots of fun to mess around with, and the level design compliments that perfectly
^
This is what modern Sonic games should be like. Honestly, you could replace the assets with Sonic ones and call it SA3, and I'd be totally fine with it. It's such a perfect evolution of that formula. I tried the demo last night and it was incredible. Day 1 buy whenever it comes out.
Twitter brought me here.
I'm now intrigued by this game and I subscribed to your channel. 😎👍
Love your first two games! People on my channel love your game.
This is very impressive, it all looks and sounds so good. I've had the Spark games on my Steam wishlist for a couple years and will definitely give them a try now.
For a second I was about to fall asleep, but I saw the live show in its entirety and I must say... it was.... THE LIVE LIVE IS INCREDIBLE!! I loved! can't wait for the release!
Man does this look fun, I can’t wait to play it on consoles
It's looking like my criticisms of Spark 2's gameplay are definitely being addressed in 3, consider me interested.
This stage has such an incredible sense of scale and speed. Didn't think I could be more stoked for this game!
You are so freaking talented, I can't wait to get my hands on this!
4:43 woah these actually did something in a platformer for once lol
My dude…where is your patron? Because This looks absolutely Incredible. & it looks Sooo Fun. You literally put so much into this game & things that I’ve always wanted to see in my normal sonic game💙. Momentum, Combat, etc. Take Your Time with this game bro. & I promise it will masterpiece.
Don't fuck with this Jester!
- Spark probably
Love the mechanical depth thats been achieved here. Hell its more triple A than what sonic seems to be throwing. Day 1 purchase right here
I’m amazed I hadn’t heard about this game until just the other day. It deserves so much recognition.
I just love the music and the way the level looks. Awesome job 👍
nice to see more fan inspired game i can tell lots of effort when into this keep up this astonishing work.
Same
Absolutely amazing, every second of gameplay looks incredible.
I have 6 hours in the demo on steam just replaying the same levels over again. Its probably the most fun 3d platformer ive ever played
That was exhilarating. This looks pretty much ready for Steam this year and I'm guessing consoles will be 2023. Can't wait.
very few games let loose and just let you reach insane speeds like this
I don’t even remember the adventure era Sonic games being that fast
Sonic unleashed?
Sonic Generations?
@@muhammedraashid3667 idk man holding a button to go fast just doesn’t feel the same and even then its not nearly as fast as some of the sections in this gameplay preview
the Boost games also feel very automated at points
@@jess648 Which boost games?
Sonic unleashed and Sonic Generations do have automated sections mostly for spectacle reason but so do this game. Otherwise the control is perfectly in your hands.
It seems, Felipe will do something really good with Spark now. I intrigued.
There's already a lot of comparisons between this and the newest sonic game, but you know the biggest difference from their gameplay trailers?
For this I'm NOT thinking "oof this looks rough, maybe it should be delayed", I'm thinking "This looks awesome! I cannot wait to play it!!"
I love how fluid this looks. My only gripe is how the downward dash circles reset your downward camera angle.
Still has a better camera than most Sonic Games.
Those weren't dash circles, they were sort of the opposite of that... like brakes.
@@siraxolot4262 most? try all of them.
@@deedoubs yeah because this game has fall damage now. Its pretty easy to cancel though so im hoping these gravity rings(?) are gone for the higher platforming difficulty settings.
Good news, he fixed it by the time the game released!
What a charming little fellow he is! This looks very good!
Wow the sense of speed in this is so exhilarating! its like the SA2 formula perfected! If only I had a PC to play 😩
I know this is such a small detail, but I love that Lake actually gave the city a GROUND. Like..... it's not just a black pit (which from a game dev perspective, I know why that's done so often in platformers). But he actually put in the time to do that.... the lighting, ambient occlusion, the lighting, the textures...... so much love put into this. I can't wait for this to drop.
Not only is there ground, you can run around on it too
I don't have my Steam Deck yet, but I'm so excited at the thought of playing Spark 3 on it. This looks incredible and I can't wait to play!
I'm in love with all have we seen about Spark 3, I really hope the game achieve success, thanks Lake
Awesome work! I cannot wait to get this game on launch.
Me looking at this game that i never got the time to see it properly
