Some years back I switched from Lightshot to ShareX, because it's open-source, I can upload the screenshots to whatever service I want, it can record GIFs and video clips, and it also works for things like uploading text to Pastebin or ZIP files to MEGA (or whatever - again I can choose the services I use).
ShareX is good, but it operates out of China, so I don't use it. On the other hand, Lightshot is known to collect usage date from the computer you are using, which a lot of software does.
Absolutely amazing video!! Just an FYI and it's probably been mentioned before, but Intel Unison also works with AMD processors and Windows 11. GAME CHANGER!!
I tried the Intel Unison app. Seems to work on my Ryzen CPU too (R5 5500). So, I wouldn't immediately disqualify it as intel only. But thank you seems like a great app
Seem great apps but what are they like for nag popups which seem to plague these sort of things regardless of whether they are free or paid for? Its not that i mind them as such, but they seem to pop up every time i'm doing something intricate or needing max concentration.
All that remains me of widows 8 .1 using different apps to make something better like classic shell back in windows 8.1 times I would uninstall windows 11 and go back to windows 10 Pro if I was you Em so you don’t have extra apps on your PC to do something 👍
No kidding!!! Intel unison only works on intel processors!? What a shame… the lack of airdrop was the only thing preventing me to come back from MacOs to windows again…

Personally I don't like that its list is vertical - that's one reason to why I switched to the old Windows 10 Taskbar using a software to bring it back - the Windows 10 one has horizontal scrolling and it doesn't automatically increase in size, so it keeps a comfortable size and is easier to navigate IMO, since you read text horizontally.
Stop. Just Stop. The people have clearly rejected Windows 11. We hate it. More people deleted Windows 11 last month than installed. Stop promoting it. If you dont wanna say Windows 10 just say Windows. Dont help them... make them capitulate, Windows 8.1 style.

I use Greenshot. It’s also open-source and way better than Snipping Tool.

I highly recommend an app called "audio device switcher" for W11. I have mapped ctrl+f9 to it to change audio inputs easily

That's what I use, and I don't have to install some unknown 3rd party software.
