I switched from the Q-Star Tour to these in the summer, primarily for the triple track alignment. Honestly, if you’ve not tried it, you’re missing out. I’ve always been a pretty decent putter, but once I understood the concept and believed in it, it was a game changer. Good to see the rest of the numbers stacked up too.

Having used Triple Track before when playing Chrome Soft, I did find it helps so good to hear I wasn’t alone! The numbers did impress me as well throughout - just wish it was £32.99 a dozen - but we can’t have it all! Haha!
Another fantastic review Luke. I've played this ball in the past and really like it. But for me the Q Star Tour still edges it out ever so slightly. The work you do is the most relevant to the vast majority of us out on the course. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Petro! I still worry that I haven’t got the formula right for ball reviews so comments like this do reassure me. It’s that balance between hitting and showing enough shots to give you feedback on feel (especially in short game), gathering a good enough sample size of data and then editing it into something that isn’t ridiculously long! The filming of each ball review takes about 1.5-2 hours and I can film 2 on a day if using the same baseline ball but after that my swing goes from the number of shots hit etc! Would like to get them down to 15-20 mins consistently though so ideas welcome! Haha! 👍🏼

I like your comments while hitting the test ball, yet only showing the hits on the baseline ball. Going over what you've collected shouldn't be shorter than it is. I don't think you could get them to 15 minutes and still do them justice.

Out of the chrome tour and chrome tour x, chrome tour x is my gaming ball. Feels really good to me off every club. Chrone Tour is interesting, I guess I just like the spin and flight of the X better, and honestly, the feel too. I am interested in the ERC for more fun games. Who knows, maybe I will like it than the CTx. You are building a great channel and your audience is very well rounded, good group. Best

I followed advice to use the Callaway ERC Soft triple track from a very good UK PGA instructor you tuber a month ago - I haven’t looked back. The triple track is helping me drop putts consistently and I see no loss of performance. The sad thing is that Callaway’s 2024 ball range has removed the triple track and have introduced trendy putting gimmicks on their lower priced balls and triple track (360 now) only on their top range. Not all progress is an improvement… so I’ve bought a triple track marker and plan to see if this works for me with other golf balls..

Brilliant review. Very comprehensive and helpful for us c10 HCP golfers. Interestingly titleist have revamped the Tour Soft and claim that its blended cover outperforms the non tour urethene options such as tour response brxs q star tour etc….a bold claim

@@weekendtourpros Ha! Well I haven't played in coming on 5 years now due to some disabilities. I have hit the range a few times though with a little success, so I still have hope. What I played for 3 seasons was Maxfli Softfli. Loved the feel of them and they're cheap and fly straight, but from what I've learned this year is that I was probably over compressing them and losing distance. Since there were good winter sales going on, I've purchased Maxfli StraightFli, Bridgestone B RX, and Titleist TruFeel. Time will tell my friend. Thanks again.

Hi GolfAddict! PXG Extreme is on the list and I will eventually get to it! Ball reviews take 2 hours to film (to make sure I collect big enough data sets) so I try to save them up for when I can film 2-3 in one go! But I promise I will do it as I’m keen to try it myself! As for the Srixon Q- Star, there’s a review of the white version of the ball on the channel and I reference the Divide in there but my assumption based on Srixon’s write up is that there’s no impact to performance from the divide colour vs white cover. For the Callaway ball, are you talking about the Chrome Soft? The Truvis and yellow they offer on various balls in the UK. I have played the truvis finish on Callaway golf balls before and I enjoy it for practicing short game and seeing the spin on the ball but for me personally I get more benefit using the Triple Track version when putting! It’s good fun though! Let me know and all the best! 👍🏼
I think it would be perfect if it was $35, putting a $15 spread between it and the Chrome Soft. With only $10 between them, one actual urethane and one ionomer with a urethane coating, it’s hard to justify the ERC. That said, I think it is a bit longer for me off the driver than Chrome Soft.
Thanks Paul! Slowly getting there with the swing! I think Tour Response feels softer (which I love!) but my gut feeling is it would spin a little less through the bag! Tour Response always feels incredibly straight though! That’s my gut feelings without actually testing it though. 👍🏼

Could you compare the erc soft vs the q-star tour? I’ve been playing the erc soft for couple of years now and the only thing that bugs me about it are those short chips around the green or flop shots that you need a little check. I’m curious to see if the q star tour has everthing that the erc has but a little bit more stopping power around the greens
Hi Nick! Thanks for watching! I’ve added it to my list but I’ve got the reviews of the new 2024 balls to review soon so it might be a few weeks before I can get round to it. I have, however, already filmed a review of Q Star Tour which is live on my page and where I always compare vs Titleist Pro V1, you can look at the data from both videos and make approximate conclusions, accepting my swing varies a bit over time. I loved the Q Star Tour and think it’s a great option and from checking back at the data it did spin a fraction more (as a percentage of Pro v1 spin on that short game short, whilst still delivering that slightly higher flight) but I don’t think there’s anything significant in it and I’m sure quality of strike would have a bigger overriding factor for me than the ball. The only exception is that this year, when filming ball reviews I aim to play at least one round with the ball before filming the review to comment on what I saw and felt on the course. Hi Vedgren! My driver is a Ping G430 Max currently set up at 10.5 degrees loft. I used to have a really poor angle of attack with driver (often negative and at best 0) and have slowly got that closer to +1 to +2 in the hope I can dial it down a bit more in time and eek some more distance out but for now that’s how it’s set up! When I test lower setup drivers I lose carry but get similar total distance. Thanks for watching the video! 👍🏼
Good ball Luke used to play it when 29.99 ...not for 39.99 the TM tour response is a better ball imho mate and cheaper 👌 I'd urge more to try that ball very very good...sorry £37.99 at clubhouse golf ...too over priced now luke I think

Erc is my preferred ball in the winter. Great review. I shift to tour response in spring then to brx early summer and pro v1 in mid to late summer.

A great review. I can get both these balls here in Thailand. At the moment I will stick with the Inesis 900 ball.

I’ve played both. Q star tour is better. It has better stopping power with short shots and is much more durable.

The biggest problem with these balls is they’re not very durable for how much they cost. They scuff very easily.
