Opening the vents makes a big difference. Great video. Thanks for sharing. I used waterproof screen on mine so the water still drains off to the sides and out of the hood like the oem configuration. Also noticed your oil pressure seems really low. My '20 JT idles at 30psi.

Thank you! That's a great idea and I did see a write up where someone used that. I wanted to do this a "free" mod, as I only paid for the trim and that was cheap.
As for the oil pressure, old school rule is 10 psi for ever 1000 RPMs, so it should be fine. My JL also has the 2.0, so that could be the difference. Anyways, Thanks for the comment and Happy Jeepin!

Yours idles at 30psi warm? Mime is also at 19-20 when idling warmed up

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I don't think the lower oil pressure is an issue but it might be why the 3.6 likes to eat cams.

@@KJsProjects yeh, I don't think it's an issue either. Mine is at 50psi under w.o.t. so I assume that's the normal range between idle and wot

Xacto knife blade on a soldering iron does a better faster job cutting plastic
