MOJO Black Friday Ride for 2024. We had around 20 Jeeps for the ride and it was a great day. I did have some electrical gremlins and we had to end the day early. See you on the next one!
JL Rock Light Install
Переглядів 185Місяць тому
My instalation of the Mctunning C2 MAx Rock lights on my Jeep JL. Loved the installation and so glad they don't put out a lot if any RF interference. Plus at under $200 they definitely won't break the bank. a.co/d/85uIP1M

Protect your Rear with the Rough Country Rear Diff Skid plate!
Переглядів 118Місяць тому
My instalation and review of the Rough Country Rear differential skid plate. This is the second video for the RC skid plates. The rear is very well made and has the benefit of a driveshaft yoke protector. Very well made and fit and finish were perfect. *This is not a sponsored video.
Best way to remove rust on my Motobilt rear bumper?
Переглядів 1382 місяці тому
What method works best to remove rust? I tried paint stripper, works ok. Then tried flap disks and wire wheels. This worked better, but was impossible to get into tight spaces. I even tried the Harbor Freight sandblasting gun. It kinda worked, but didn't hold enough media and it was a real mess. I finally broke down and had it professionally sandblasted. It cost about as much as all of the supp...

Rough Country JL Front Differential Skid Plate
Переглядів 1893 місяці тому
My instalation and review video of the Rough Country JL/JT front Differential skid plate. This is one of the most economical ways to protect your front Differential. I was really impressed with the build quality and it fit perfectly. Rough Country did a great job with this product. I will be installing the rear skid soon...
JL 2.0 Oil Change

I show you how to change the oil in you 2.0L Wrangler. One of the reasons I recommend doing this is you learn about your vehicle and inspect it for any other issues.

"Where are you?" B Tech GRMS Pro Review
It stings but I think it’s the best move for now. We will make it out there!
Yes we will!
Just finished doing this to my gladiator rubicon, great video, cheers from Canada
Awesome! Thank you for the comment.
Started following your channel when I got my 22 willy XR got a bunch of cool parts for Christmas cant waited to get on the trails i to an from central ohio may see ya out on the trails sometime Merry Christmas
@@redneckingenuity9376 Awesome! Thank you so much. Hope to see you on the trail!
Links & a proper explanation of the "blockers" would be nice. I guess I'll have to do more research.
@VincentVader yes, I am planning a new video in the coming year, just need time to do it! I also added a link to the blockers on Amazon in the description. Hope this helps!
Why on earth, would the engineers have designed louvers in the hood that are decorative, rather than functional?
Because some accountant said it would cost too much to make it functional. Also some random 20 person study group didn't like the way the underside of the hood looked.
Sadly I'm not finding this kit. I was looking at doing this with my 2008 JKU Rubicon as well. Do you happen to have the part numbers for each of the calipers? I'm looking on RockAuto and see a lot of the PowerStops, but some show as single piston and such. Thanks in advance
So if you are looking at the JL heavy duty brakes they should be what you need. I don't think there is a full fit, but you need the calipers, pads, and rotors. The front are duel pistons and the rear are single. Hope this helps!
@@KJsProjects Perfect, thanks! Will be buying piece by piece.
still working well??
@derakbaxley9442 Yep, it's been on a couple of light wheeling trips. It definitely helped when I didn't have the clearance as the front wedge allows the diff to slide easier.
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully I'll get to one of these soon.
Yeah we have them every month, so come on out!
Reported for clickbait thumbnail....🤦

Your a good dude man just got a 22 jl cant wait to get my membership with MOJO and get on the trails with yall live in central ohio so should be fun. You got a sub from me
Thank you! If you ever have any questions, just let me know. Always happy to help.
Definitely a fun run.i was really surprised with the renegade to be honest. But it held its own.
@shaunperry4246 Yep hey did very well for what he had. I was happy he came out and got to wheel.
My brother is Shaun Condit. I never get to see him because family dynamics and post war stuff. Any chance you put some footage of my brother up, I would definitely sub your channel. Semper fi.
I will if we are at the same events. It is a mixed bag honestly of who shows up to the events due to scheduling conflicts. He does have a nice rig. I'm sorry to hear that you are having family issues, I've been down that road and it sucks. Thanks for the comment!
이 제품은 차에 구멍(드릴)을 뚫지 않아도 장착이 가능한가요? 만약 그렇다면 구매링크를 알고 싶습니다.
Yes, these do not require drilling into the Jeep. The link for purchase is in the description. Thank you!
@@KJsProjects 하드탑 1열에 장착하는 제품이군요!! 하지만 나는 선라이더가 달려있습니다 ㅜ_ㅜ
Not sure if it will work with the Sun rider top. You might have to get one that pop rivets to the A pillar.
video on how to install a radiator fan in the engine hood vent, bro
I haven't had to do that yet, but that is something I have seen done before.
@KJsProjects okay, that's okay, bro, but is it safe if you put a hole in it like ,that, nothing happens when you go off road ,and get water in it when it's raining, is it safe for the engine when it's raining, thank you for replying
We were gonna do a night run up Macedonia for the flatfender ride, ended sitting by the campfire instead 😂. I’ll have to send you the pictures of our adventure down Blue creek
That sounds like a great idea! Macedonia is no joke at the top.
I signed up to MOJO last winter. They took my $25 but I never received any info to get into the site to view any of the members pages. I would like to get involved but I could not get any contact with any group members. I don't have FB but the wife lady reached out and still nothing. Looks like a great time. Wish we could of came along.
@troybilt6752 If your wife has FB, reach out to Keith Diehl. He can add her and you will have access to the events on the Facebook page. Uunfortunately, that's the best way to get club info and updates. Hope to see you on the trail!
4:57 I don't like how the bolts are not inline and flat with the bracket.
Yeah, that might be installer error. I wanted to make sure the bracket didn't hit the driveshaft, so I might need to readjust it.
I put led lights on my quad. Had radio in the garage on .when I pulled in the quad and turned on the led fog lights. My radio in the garage turns off. Quad is 12 ft away from radio in garage totally different power supplies. This is nuts!!!!
YEP, the interference is through Radio waves, so they don't need to be touching or on the same circuit to cause issues. That's why it's important to protect your radio. Your LEDs might not be an issue, but your buddy's could be.
You're welcome
It felt so late!
Yeah it felt like midnight...at 6pm
Does this kit require any exhaust mods?
It's been a while since we did this, but I don't think we had to modify any of the exhaust
What are the dimensions of this Rough Country light?
I will measure once I get home and let you know!
7 inches long, 2 inches tall, 2 inches deep. Hope this helps!
@@KJsProjects perfect thank you!
Thanks for the video, I have been eyeing these up on Amazon. There were a couppe bad reviews about cracking the fiberglass freedom panels that have me scared! But the quality looks really good in your video, I'm more confident in ordering now. Im still a little scared ill hit bigger branches and rip them off the gutter, but they have been workong for you okay still? Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! I think if they hit a bigger branch they will slide forward. Yes they will probably gouge the fiberglass, but I doubt they would crack it. I do need to readjust my passenger side as I hit it with my arm trying to clean the windshield, and it has slack in it now. Otherwise they are holding up great.
@KJsProjects Thanks for getting back to me! I'm going to pull the trigger, I appreciate your advise. I don't mind drilling holes (I had to for my AEV snorkel, not to mention chop up the hood!) But the A-Piller bracket mount style often leads to water leaks in the reviews I have read. And where I live in the PNW, it rains all the damn time, and the last thing I want is another water leak!
Were you able to put your freedom panels on without issues after install? I just put them in my JT and it’s catching my sunrider top. I’m not sure if I have the roof brackets pulled out far enough and not leaning towards the roof.
I actually have the sky one touch top, so I'm not sure about the freedom panels. You should be able to adjust the mounts outward so it won't interfere, but it might loosen up and move.
Oh look, trash in the woods.
@@josephmorales9321 What?
Appreciate the video brother. I saw this kit and how they’re not riveted like the ones I’m used to, but it seems like a nice kit. I’ll be trying it out on my JL. While driving to my hunting area, nothing is worse than branches constantly pounding the winsheild
They held up well during the last wheeling trip. Plus they look cool, so they add 10pts to your Jeep right there!
Do you still have the effect?
The RF blockers work well! I'm actually getting ready to install rocklights and will do an updated video.
NEVER use an impact gun on wheel spacers.
Im not using the impact to set the torque, just to get them on. I always use a torque wrench to get the correct torque. Too many ugga duggas will stretch and break the studs. Never have had any issues the way I do it. YMMV.
How were you running 3.73 gears on a Rubicon model? From my understanding....,all Rubicons from the factory (back to the 2003 model which I have owned for 21 years now) are equipped with 4.10 gears from the factory. How did you end up with 3.73 gears? Confused!! Regearing my TJ here in the near future from 4.10 to 4.88 with new 35-inch tires.
Not all of the JK Rubicons have 4.10s. If memory serves, the standards had 4.10s and the autos came with 3.73s with an option for 4.10s. I still have the gears and can double check.
thanks for sharing info👍
Is this Logan utah?
No, Chillicothe, Ohio
@@KJsProjects it’s right next to utah right ?
@@Safo_00 Yeah, it's only a day away (driving) or like 45 mins in an SR71😅
Xacto knife blade on a soldering iron does a better faster job cutting plastic
@@RichGurska Ooh, that's a good idea! I will have to try that next time.
People underestimate how good 33x12.5x17 tires look on a 2.5" lift.
Yes, it does look good with stock fenders. Also if you do daily drive your lifted Jeep, you will get better gas mileage compared to 35s.
Opening the vents makes a big difference. Great video. Thanks for sharing. I used waterproof screen on mine so the water still drains off to the sides and out of the hood like the oem configuration. Also noticed your oil pressure seems really low. My '20 JT idles at 30psi.
Thank you! That's a great idea and I did see a write up where someone used that. I wanted to do this a "free" mod, as I only paid for the trim and that was cheap. As for the oil pressure, old school rule is 10 psi for ever 1000 RPMs, so it should be fine. My JL also has the 2.0, so that could be the difference. Anyways, Thanks for the comment and Happy Jeepin!
Yours idles at 30psi warm? Mime is also at 19-20 when idling warmed up
Thanks for the comment! Yeah I don't think the lower oil pressure is an issue but it might be why the 3.6 likes to eat cams.
@@KJsProjects yeh, I don't think it's an issue either. Mine is at 50psi under w.o.t. so I assume that's the normal range between idle and wot
You need a slide hammer to get those crusty hubs off.
@@SPARTAN2842 I do have one, but I have found the bolt method works too.
Are all black turnbuckles hardware available instead?
I'm not sure. You can always paint them to match your preferences or to match the theme of your Jeep. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome video && that's our jeep at the end.!! It was a fun family jeep adventure 😊
Awesome Jeep, glad you enjoyed the video and yes, Jeep Fest is a great time.
Thanks for attending!!
Good info thanks
Nice!
Thank you!
Y does my sound cut out when I turn on my headlights
That's probably a result of the radio frequency interference. I would also check to make sure you have good grounds.
Will these also deflect human limbs? 😂
Probably not, unless you have tiny humans 😀
They’re not built for the Mustang ;)
Thanks for the help Kyle!
You can keep this on with the hard top!
Yep! I wouldn't see why not.
Same guy only shows pics of his wife's elbow when talking about her appearance... Unbelievable...
Do you have a jk or jl?
This was on my JK. I now have a JL.
So you have the same sunshade on your jl?
I haven't put it on the JL because I have the sky one touch top. I don't know if it would fit, but the two are very similar.
Like that you're helping others/giving back with your knowledge and experience! The world needs more community like this.
Thank you! Yes 100% agree.
I was shocked when Dylan showed me that at Windrock.
Yeah, it was a lot of wires and connectors. Like I said in the video, the main issue was the style of connector. They come with a lot of kits because they are cheap and fast to use, but there are a lot of better options out there.
Repo just sitting there like "Am I a joke to you?"
Haha, I need a power washer for Repo, lol.
Great Video . When i clcik on link it shows 2018-2020. I have a 2016 like u did just wanted to make sure they will still be good for mine. Also if i upgraded to the premium. slotted rotor do u think they would work as well
Yes, you want the parts for the 2018 to 2020 Jeep JL. You can definitely add drilled and slotted rotors for better breaking. I didn't use them for cost and I wheel in a lot of mud/water so I didn't want a lot of junk getting between the rotors and pads. That's a whole other debate, but that was my thinking. Thanks for the comment and make sure to subscribe for more Jeep videos!
@@KJsProjects do u think if i purchased the brake dust shield for jl for jk that would also be inter changable?
@tonynevarez3836 I'm not sure, but it would make sense if they are. The Dana 30/44s still use a 3 bolt pattern for the hubs, so that part should line up. If you find out let me know! I'm kind of curious now.
Well all done only did the the fronts and had new stock calipers and lines for the back. The jl dust cover didnt fit so trimmed stock cover .thanks again for the tips and vidoe 30:52
@tonynevarez3836 Glad it worked out well for you!
