@LordRevan134 Yes you can bring them into instances, but they will take up a spot in the party, and that means if you want to play with your companion you have to be three real players and the companion, You get all from your class quest so you'll get them in a special order.
Just did this operation with my guild today not even planned and easily one shotted the first boss, wiped once on the second, had a little trouble on the puzzle, EASY mode on the 4th "boss", and stopped before fighting The Infernal One... what a great operation so far... I've heard the last boss is pretty difficult and can't wait... altogether so far it was not to difficult but not a cake walk by any means either. good job.
@Raptor8762 There is a regular and a harder mode. They said back in e3 they're working on another one. But at least two difficulities where the hardest will have the greater rewards :)
@MrParticulate You know this is set thousands of years before Phantom Menace, yeah? There are tons of force users in the time that this game is set in.
I just did this for my very first time earlier today with my guild and since we used voice chat we were able to do it quick and easy, it was a great run for my first operation as a level 50 Jedi Sentinel
Imagine if they add voice detection, like they're doing with mass effect 3 and kinect. Where if you speak the lines it detects them and it goes with what you say. It would be awesome if they gave this feature to SWTOR and maybe with the possibility of having your voice heard. Damn talk about geeking out lol
I think you all need to remember that this is the FIRST boss of the FIRST operation. So what if its simple; its a good look of the group make-up, fighting system, class system, and more. Its not supposed to be hard, its the VERY beginning...
@SWTORFilms can you bring them into instances? and i have been trying to find this out after the first one do you have to get the other 4 in a special order?
@MrParticulate that's not how Jedi work, a force sensitive can come from 2 non-force sensitive beings. Consider that a server may only hold about 3000 players, if half of those are force users, then that's not much more than 1500 force users in the galaxy, counting NPCs. Do you really think that's a huge amount?
@SWTORFilms Imo, there are few things that concerns me. *Class balance, think there will be too many Jedis. It's pretty much a choice of extremes, either a Jedi or shooter, little in between. Also think there aren't enough healing classes. *Why can't they just call it raids? Normally coming up with different names for similar things = fail *The cut scenes might be boring to go through. Don't even like to read quests in wow. But ye, room for improvement.
@ChuteNoris Quit WoW a while ago now, but played from the start. The story is what's going to make it for me. The PvP and PvE is going to be superfun since that was the coolest in WoW but now it just adds to the experience. I 2nd what you said about that I hope this game gives that same joy that WoW did first time. And if it does, I shall never forget the feeling. Hope it lives up to our dreams!
@MrParticulate Need I remind you that WoW doesn't use lightsabers, missiles, or guns? Therefore, it's not a WoW clone. It's not even intended to replace WoW anyway.
I was just wondering where and with what do you buy the pve gear will there be vouches to get in raids for tier's and is the stuff for pvp the same as the pve stuff
Coming from my impressions of beta so far, lvl 9, this game is incredible. I didnt think the voice acting and quests would make such a big difference but the experience is amazing. Dont listen to people bashing this game, if your a wow player like me you will love it and never go back to Azeroth.
@MamboMRS While I agree that this seems to primarily be WoW set in the star wars universe, I don't find that to be a bad thing. There's a reason WoW has been the king of MMOs since it came out, it was damn fun. I am extremely excited for this game, I just hope when it comes that I'll be able to find the time to play it.
@akoot Well I remember playing KOTOR and while there were force users in that I'd hardly call them "plentiful" This is supposed to take 300 years after KOTOR so unless the Jedis all started sleeping with every sentient being they could get their hands on I really don't see them being this ridiculously abundant.
Can't judge a game just by looking at it, the atmosphere it brings is what's important. And for a SW game it's just important as twice. And apparently they did it awesome! GW2 still rules tho..
@AntiTroll1000 Actually it can be. Blizzard might own the rights to the World of Warcraft IP which would include all the characters, factions, territories, lore, and specific classes with their techniques but that doesn't extend to the formatting of the gameplay or user interface. For example Call of Duty isn't the only FPS out there that restricts you to two weapons, offers regenerating health, and heavy use of brown and bloom. Lucas Arts really seems to have ripped the entire WoW format.
Looks great, I'll play it. WoW mechanics? Everquest had all these mechanics in place before WoW was even beta. The UI certainly looks clean, like WoW, the graphics are very colorful, and there's a story line of sorts for the mission. Looks like good entertainment for your money to me.
@anakinfan12002 the game is really not framerack friendly, even though peoples computers WAY WAY WAY out spec the game, lag is horrible, they havent fixed alot of interface graphical issues. just many things
@MamboMRS lol ywa fighting mechanics are somewhat similar, why? because they work well. is it the same as wow's? lol hell no. this has so many more elements added to it, than wow. p.s wow in space? isnt that like outlands, i know i felt like i was just on an asteroid floating in space lots of the time. and with about approximatly 15 planets in wow's lore, im sure they will force space on you at some point. after all, how did the draenei get to azeroth?
Looks like a massive timesink. How much time spent just to get in the door? Simple strategies, simple gameplay, and lots of time fighting in the same spot, just to get to move to a new spot, and fight over n over.... idk.. i preordered it already but maybe this video is just a bad example of how fun battles can be.
Last I checked no MMO has Raids with a deep story and full voice acting. I don't play WoW so this is a great experience for me. Maybe you should go outside or something.
@TheClonazepam Hutball is reason enough to buy this mmo lol.... well not really but wow, that video was edited better to induce more excitement and a little humor.
wtf -_- all those people sayin SWTOR is another WoW or WoW in space, is like saying hey i'm human, you're human, we're the same! Of course it's a MMORPG, but what's most important it's what's bringing in new with the universe immersion, great storyline (bioware never fails at that). Only thing that I fear is that character hybridization could cause the game to be chaotic when fighting, what am i doing now? pow pow dps, ah crap the tank is dying heal heal, ah too late, the tank dead,I go tank :)
Personally the more I see of this game the more I am disappointed with the lack of innovation. Sure combining the RPG elements from ME with MMO conventions is a relatively novel idea, but the class structure and combat and gameplay seems quite similar to so many MMORPG's that I have played that I will probably not be rushing out to purchase this. I have great hopes for GW2 still!
This game excites me to no end. It's taking the best features of wow and incorporating more actual rpg aspects such as dialogue. I just nerded in my pants thinking about it. Made a huge mess.
@lokohehehe That shit is more then enough to own the mmo market atm. So you think innovative is important? WoW didn't won the race because he was innovative but because he brought all the already known features of mmorpgs to a higher level, better service. SWTOR will success because they worked hard to bring players rich contents, nice control, eye-candy and that "talking shit" that's affecting our gameplay feelings more then you could ever possible think of. I don't like haters.
@MrParticulate and wow ripped pretty much the entire everquest format. Basically what the old republic is doing is using the basic mmo format that every mmo uses, wow may have been the most successful to use it, but its not the only. and that ui is different to wow, oh wait they have health and a type of energy bar COPIES! no just no.
@AntiTroll1000 Bullshit. Do you realize how much money WoW makes? Why would you not want to replace that? And it really doesn't matter what kind of skins and setting you use... look at the UI. Look at the HUD. They're still operating off of keyed abilities with cool downs, the exact same interface as WoW.
@tontsa911 No offense taken :) I think just most of us wants a game without gnomes and elfs that has great story! So IMO this game will "shit" on GW2 when ity comes to those certain aspects.
GOD DAMN!!! That is going to be a REALLY long level. Looks like it could take around an hour at least to get through it. Very nice.
Force Charge looks so epic, especially at start of boss fight when he force charged.
@LordRevan134 Yes you can bring them into instances, but they will take up a spot in the party, and that means if you want to play with your companion you have to be three real players and the companion, You get all from your class quest so you'll get them in a special order.
@juice3335 The dialogue cut scenes are only at the beginning and end of eternity, they will not be during the actual operation.
Just did this operation with my guild today not even planned and easily one shotted the first boss, wiped once on the second, had a little trouble on the puzzle, EASY mode on the 4th "boss", and stopped before fighting The Infernal One... what a great operation so far... I have faith in this game and the players who will indulge in an immersive star wars mmo by a great group of developers. IA medic here...
@MrParticulate
You know this is set thousands of years before Phantom Menace, yeah? There are tons of force users in the time that this game is set in.
anyone notice that the voice actor for the character named Saresh sounded very similar to the guy who plays Dr. Suresh in heroes??
I just did this for my very first time earlier today with my guild and since we used voice chat we were able to do it quick and easy, it was a great run for my first operation as a level 50 Jedi Sentinel
cant wait to play this the death star has its sights lined up for WoW
Imagine if they add voice detection, like they're doing with mass effect 3 and kinect. Where if you speak the lines it detects them and it goes with what you say. It would be awesome if they gave this feature to SWTOR and maybe with the possibility of having your voice heard. Damn talk about geeking out lol
@Stefzilla420 Hell yeah dude. I got to 18 on 3 different classes and I'm wanting my SWTOR back already! It is incredible to say the least.
@MamboMRS Don't remember 0:54 - 2:20 from WoW.
This is gonna be frickin awsome!
@MrParticulate
that's not how Jedi work, a force sensitive can come from 2 non-force sensitive beings.

@awsumpossum1 Choppy meaning what? Graphic wise? Lag wise?
Looks cool...needed to focus a bit more on the Sith Assassin and Juggernaut characters.
The juggernauts saber style is ruthless, hes almost hacking at the droid. 6:20
@cardodoc2 Are you saying they should stupidly NOT include raids?
@juice3335 If your group decides to skip it you won't need to watch it every time.
Damn, that looks bad ass. It's not going to be a walk in the park.
6 Years late and this comment has not aged well :)
Coming from my impressions of beta so far, lvl 9, this game is incredible. I didnt think the voice acting and quests would make such a big difference but the experience is amazing. Dont listen to people bashing this game, if your a wow player like me you will love it and never go back to Azeroth.
do you have to watch all these cut scenes and dialogue every time you do this operation?
Is it me or does the general at the beginning sound like Zaeed Massani from ME 2?
What is the inquisitors armor,name and why Dallas is standing on imperial fleet?
@MamboMRS While I agree that this seems to primarily be WoW set in the star wars universe, I don't find that to be a bad thing. There's a reason WoW has been the king of MMOs since it came out, it was damn fun. I am extremely excited for this game, I just hope when it comes that I'll be able to find the time to play it.
i have only one question, where the fck is something like taunt and why this boss isnt going after tank, and changing his pose after him?
@SWTORFilms they wernt there, you cant bring them into the raids?
@awsumpossum1 I hope they can fix that before release. But knowing Bioware, I think they got it under control.
@akoot Well I remember playing KOTOR and while there were force users in that I'd hardly call them "plentiful" This is supposed to take 300 years after KOTOR so unless the Jedis all started sleeping with every sentient being they could get their hands on I really don't see them being this ridiculously abundant.
@akoot it's still 50% of the player population. That's my issue.
@Scar8632
Erm... What? If you have another means that I can pre-order except from paying twice the amount from Amazon.com, please tell me.
@SWTORFilms yeah, i dont think wow has story at all, or personal star-ships, or companions.
Can't judge a game just by looking at it, the atmosphere it brings is what's important. And for a SW game it's just important as twice.
And apparently they did it awesome!
GW2 still rules tho..

@BrainNinjaMidget Now that you said that, yeah, he sounds like him
Looks great, I'll play it.
Can't wait! This game is setting new standards for MMOs
@LordRevan134 What about them?
Heavy missile.... oh how dumbies will stand in the group!
@LordRevan134 No, you can't :)
dallas dickinson is a god damn tank.
@MrParticulate and if this were the original trilogy era then I'd be agreeing with you.
@MrParticulate Well, it can't be the same if it's not made by whatever company made and owns WoW.
God i want this game so bad...
Can't wait. It'll be like WoW with lightsabers....
@MamboMRS You do kno that wow did not invent any of its raid mechanics. They got those ideas from some one else.
Oh, look. It's Molten Core.
No, seriously though, this looks fucking awesome.
Winter is coming..
There'll be lot of cyber-blood. BF3 - Diablo3 - SWTOR. I think i'm gonna buy 2 more computers.
why thge tuuret always fires the merceneryu
The infernal one? They couldn't of made a better name?
what about the companions?
Last I checked no MMO has Raids with a deep story and full voice acting. I don't play WoW so this is a great experience for me.
Maybe you should go outside or something.
@TheClonazepam Hutball is reason enough to buy this mmo lol.... well not really but wow, that video was edited better to induce more excitement and a little humor.
UA-cam subtitles are hilarious in swtor videos!
wtf -_- all those people sayin SWTOR is another WoW or WoW in space, is like saying hey i'm human, you're human, we're the same! Can't pre-order, because I'm in the "RED ZONE"
this vid rocks!
I think so too :)
@MamboMRS Wrong, TBC was wow in space, this is way different buddy, get it straight
Simpsons did it! :P
what kind of ground breaking stuff do you all expect from an MMO?
any ideas?
Dallas Dickinson is fucking awesome!
This game excites me to no end. It's taking the best features of wow and incorporating more actual rpg aspects such as dialogue. I just nerded in my pants thinking about it. Made a huge mess.
WTB time machine plz!
The game looked good back then. especially the lightsabers.. :/
7:40
Smart move =)
Reminds me of Anarchy Online, should be fun :)
@powertudor Wouldn't it be WORLDS of Starcraft? Would be a shame if only 1 whole world made up a space game lol
Looks like Vanilla MMO sprinkled with Star Wars visuals. Nothing groundbreaking.
This is probably the non-heroic version also. haha. Looks fuckin great!
this game is a long way from being ready. Im in the closed non weekend beta and its choppy as fuck, but other then that im extremely satisfied
@jadaya1234 well .. it´s anduin but nevermind :>
LEVEL 50!!!
@lokohehehe That shit is more then enough to own the mmo market atm. So you think innovative is important? I don't like haters.
I don't know, sorry :s
You used so many words to explain They Buffed
@5kizzle GW2
@MrParticulate and wow ripped pretty much the entire everquest format. Basically what the old republic is doing is using the basic mmo format that every mmo uses, wow may have been the most successful to use it, but its not the only. and that ui is different to wow, oh wait they have health and a type of energy bar COPIES! no just no.
I like these lightsaber graphics better.
Is this gameplay commentary or walkthrough? Come on bioware, to many strat guides here.
how is anyone knocking this game?
Fucken star wars, my one weakness
@AntiTroll1000 Bullshit. Do you realize how much money WoW makes? Why would you not want to replace that? And it really doesn't matter what kind of skins and setting you use... look at the UI. Look at the HUD. They're still operating off of keyed abilities with cool downs, the exact same interface as WoW.
My guild and I cleared this in an hour on normal mode. It was fairly easy.
@tontsa911 No offense taken :) I think just most of us wants a game without gnomes and elfs that has great story!
So IMO this game will "shit" on GW2 when ity comes to those certain aspects.
i really dont get when people say gw2 is gonna be better than swtor... are they on gas? not much longer till SWTOR!! :D
@Dr4xt3r
its that kind of MMO that we dont want. It sucks waiting for a stupid healer
This is a huge dissapointed.
GW2 will crush this
@MEGAMIKEROAR Don't feed the trolls guys.
@MamboMRS Kids these days... You all think WoW was the first MMORPG.
