You can still take stuff FROM the bag
the lock can go through the holes that are in the zippers, preventing anyone from opening the bag. at least that's what i saw.

i think the material can't be cut with a knife but i'm not sure.

For the life pack, it is a really cool idea but with the lock someone could easily just take a sharp knife and rip the bag apart.
