I wonder if Elvis sang this to Cilla when she said she was leaving him, she sure broke his heart, to save her own no doubt. Very sad situation for them both 😢

I read that when she told him she was leaving, that he said, "don't go Cilla because if you go it will kill me" ( and it did) I don't think Elvis really realized how much he loved his Cilla until it was to late. Alot don't agree with me on this but they truly loved each other. I can see it in every video or picture . I saw it in Elvis's eyes and her eyes too.Eyes are the windows to one's soul..Eyes don't lie.He died loving her and she'll die loving hm. No matter what people say or heard, I believe this with all of my heart. I love this song to pieces.

@@janetbrowntlc Janet, there's an interview Elvis did in 1957, where he states why he cannot rush into marriage, , he says it has to be the right girl and at the right time because if he gets it wrong , it would kill him.
I do know June Junanico broke his heart, to save her own, 💔 if they had stayed together who knows how things may have panned out.
He did think Cilla was forever though, fame and too many temptations put a stop to that.
I think had god not intervened they would have gravitated back to each other, she lost him twice, once to divorce and then to his passing, keeping Graceland and his legacy going is her cathartic way of ensuring she never loses him again.
