This is a great timeless song, that just about anyone can identify with at many times in their life, no matter what their situation in life is. There is a reason that there is only one Real King, and no one has ever been better than Elvis. His life was tragically cut short, but his memory and his music are eternal. I can still remember, driving on Long Island, to play softball, and when I switched through the radio stations when I got to a hard rock station, they too were playing Elvis's songs and I instantly knew something was tragically wrong. But his greatest gifts to the world were his music and his daughter, Lisa Marie.

As good as he did it here, Elvis would have killed this song if he'd sang it in the 70's.
His voice was better in the better in the mid and early 60s then the 70s for this type of song The voice had some power in the 70s but the melodians tone and overall health better around this time

I never much liked the movie Harem Scarum, so this song and scene from the movie I haven't seen since I was a Child, going to the movies to see this film. But oh wow, there is something about this scene and song from Elvis, that is so different from his other movie scenes. I have never seen this side of Elvis before, and him singing this song is just divine.
This is the one Elvis movie I still haven't seen - and am afraid to do so. "Clambake" was bad enough.
