Thank you all so much for all the love we’ve received on this video so far! ❤️ I’d just like to address where I mention being a “proud man”. I think this was a poor choice of words on my part, and it was not my intention to imply that strong men don’t or shouldn’t cry. I was merely trying to express how emotional that episode was. Sorry if this offended anyone.
What also makes this episode fantastic was seeing the irony in the play styles of everyone. People who put on a show of honor and loyalty started backstabbing and finding underhanded ways to win. Whereas those who were considered criminals or vagrants played their game with honesty and fairness. All these contrasts in one single episode is just *chef’s kiss*
I've watched tons of these Squid Game reacts, especially episode 6. The he bangs the armrest, she hands him a tissue, he throws the tissue on the desk was react gold!
at that moment when ali was looking for sangwoo, he was calling him "HYUNG"...netflix didn't translate the meaning of "hyung", as it would sound a litle bit odd in english..."hyung" basically means "older brother"....in korean culture u do not get to randomly address an older young man "hyung" unless you're actually blood related or if you've become closer to that person...The person would either have to grant the junior to call him "hyung", or along the way he would naturally let them be called "hyung" after acknowledging their closeness...So imagine Ali calling sangwoo "hyung" as if he was this naive little boy looking for his older brother, only to be betrayed....That BURNS TWICE :(
HoYeon Jung had no acting career at all before this show. She had been a super model in fashion shows before this show. Isn't it such crazy that this was her FIRST TIME acting???
Just binge watched your squad game reactions and love how passionate and invested you both are, especially Ange. You got yourselves a new subscriber. Ali was calling sang woo 'sang woo hyung' which translates to sang woo elder brother, so the betrayal was painful. That was probably the saddest marble drop I've ever seen when ji-yeong dropped her marble intentionally. Can't wait to see the rest of your reactions.
That makes Ali’s death even worse now! 😩 Thanks so much for lovely comment! We’re looking forward to finishing the show. Glad youre enjoying the reactions 😅
Also, just wanted to highlight. Sang woo might not look like a good guy but he cared for Ali. That's why he was nice to him. So betraying him was the worst think he had to do. Also, people miss out but in the earlier episode before the games started, he tried committing suicide. (The bathtub scene, where he had a briqette smoking up the room. Which is a common way to off yourself) The Dude's in his last straw.
"Shoot him, just shoot him. Sang's has betrayed me and Ali". LOL I think that's how we all felt. And yes, HoYeon Jung's acting is superb. She had this cat balling @11:15
You did good Ange, the old man killed me. I cried like an angry toddler. The whole episode was to much, between the self sacrifice and the betrayal I was angry and sad.
The reason we hate Sang Woo so much is ironic. He plays the game right like he does later on(more on that once you finish the show ") and like any of us would've done. In other words we hate him and yet he reflects what we would've done in his place.
Yeah. You might have some issues. Your head is way to big if you think you control the worlds mindsets and actions based on your own. I would literally kill myself out of principle. The hive minds on this site is disturbing af. Everyone is supposed to be something, and everyone is expected to do something. You guys are so bizarre.
“He reflects what WE would have done in his place”? Speak for yourself, not everyone in the world. He was a shitty human from the start (screwed over his own mother without bothering to let her know she was going to lose her business AND home because of him).
@@falsenostalgia-shannon If you ignore the circumstances that got him there and you find yourself in the games. Will you honestly tell me you wouldn't do anything in your power to A)survive the games B) survive the other players C) do A and B by getting rid of the dangerous people? Every kill he has scored either helped him survive or inreased his chances of winning. As for our kind protagonist winning, that is simply due to plot armor. The old man saved his life against the rope pull, the marbles and picking last on the glass bridge. Do not fool yourself in thinking you could win games like those by behaving like him.
It didn't seem that surprising the old man sacrificed himself, though he did surprise us earlier on when he voted to leave the game.. The girls game was interesting because we got a bit more backstory directly from them (not flashbacks) and the pickpocket girl showed more emotion.

Most people would've probably done the same if they thought up the plan. Giving up your life is no trivial feat, no matter how many times it happens in shows, it's not nearly as easy in reality.
I loved the moment when Ange throw the tissue box. Not because it was funny and a "cool I'm a Men" moment (which it was xD), but because earlier in the reaction Carlie "hissed" at ange when he said how the Piano made him mad, and for me the tissue throwing looked more of a "ice breaker", because he saw how sad Carlie was, to lighten he mood and make her chuckle again. It was a very cute moment, in my opinion ;D

Sang-woo did nothing wrong. He didn't want to kill Ali, he had to. It was him or Ali. And to expect Sang-woo to lie down and die for a guy he met three days ago is insane.
Yea i guess so, but its still sad that he had to betray ali’s trust to win. I guess he had to win someway and thats all he could think of in that moment.

Years later, Ali's death still breaks my heart 😭 and I still hate Sang woo. He's up there with Na yeon from All of us are dead and Yong suk the coward business man from Train to Busan.
You guys have over-hated Sang-woo from the start. Sure, he did a couple of questionable things, but that's because he's one of the only people in the games who knows exactly what's up, has a clear head (somehow), and knows what he needs to do to survive. That makes him hesitant to do the 'right' thing, since it might lead to him losing his life in the situation. Granted, later down the line he does one particularly awful thing, but honestly the rest can be put down to survival instinct. And his guilt kills him in the end anyways - he's honestly one of, if not the best written character in the show. Edit: On a very related note, people are generally too quick to hold themselves to a overly high standard when considering these situations, but realistically, most people are likely to make the scummy move if it keeps them alive. If you put yourself in Sang-woo's shoes (or do your absolute best to) it's not too difficult to empathise. He's a little cold, sure, but it's not like this is him on a daily basis. This is him in the context of some f'ed up game of life and death. Anybody could become quite the beast in that scenario. Reminds me of Lord of the Flies, though admittedly, they're not all that similar.
We loved Sang-Woo as a character…. Never said otherwise. We hated a lot of his actions because they resulted in the deaths of some of our other favourite characters.

Ffs, this show would've been so much better without the stupid twist in the last episode. Oh Il-Nam's character was perfect, and acted to perfection, but the ending trivialises pretty much everything about him in the show, whilst explaining only a couple of odd things. His death in this episode means literally nothing, thanks to that ending. This is literally my only complaint with the show.
You didn't realize after the night attack he wasn't part of the game but part of the group running the game? The front man stops the attack only when Oh Il-Nam basically tells him to or they will all die and he stops it then and there. That was the moment I knew he was an anomaly in the game I had wondered how he new all the games and was happy while playing them with so many dying around him. I new he didn't die as the shot was off camera, the only thing about his death at the end I hated was him dying before he knew he lost the bet to Gi-Hun on the man on the street.
@@lvrplfc4l just because they put in a couple very minor hints doesnt make the reveal any less... pointless? Like what do we as a viewer gain besides shock value and betrayal. He dies right after the reveal anyways. There's hardly any point in having the reveal in there.

😂😂😂😂
mate completely destroyed my shit when he asked for that tissue box, sorry but I can't even.
