I know you need the lights at night, but it is getting hard to find a place to live where you can get good old fashioned dark. Lots of stars to see that way!

or, a very fine finishing nail.
A stud finder would work best. It can determine a change in density to show where the 2x6 starts and ends without making any holes.
With all those lights I hope planes don't try to land on your property !

did you ever get resolution on your messed up NEW bin site or are you still in the works with that?
Cole, do not bury those wires behind the tin. You are asking for trouble if you do when one of those lights needs service or replacement. As a retired electrician I can tell you conduit is going to be a better option for you. Heck use electric PVC pipe if you don't want to learn how to bend pipe. Once you pull that rope and put the tin up you have locked yourself out of any future upgrades.
Don't cheap out like you did on the other project that's so well-lit now.

Does the light need to be the clear white color? It’s so harsh on the eyes. Your neighbor is going to need a big tall tree to help block out this spot light.

Wonder if the neighbors are happy with the lights shining on them. I put up a security light and it was too high and shined on the guy next door he wasnt to happy. I had to point it down further
Hey Cole. Could I ask you to keep my mom in your prayers and maybe lift her up at your church. My mom is 78 years old and is not doing good. She has been sick for 4 weeks now. She is currently in the hospital and started out with pneumonia. And they found out that she has a weak heart and while she was their, she had a mild heart attack. We don't think she has much time left because nothing the doctors do seems to be helping.

You might wanna be careful about how you place that light going towards your house. You don't want it shining through your windows when you're trying to go to sleep or wind down for the night.

Remember when farmers used to work from sun up to sun down and then went to bed. Everybody thought that was a lot of working hours. You guys work so many hours after dark you’ve got to have good lighting.

Do you really want the one light shining into the side of your house? Just a thought.....
You might want to bite the bullet and install BX or conduit to power your building. The mice are going to go crazy behind that sheet metal and they love to chew the insulation back on that romex and expose the conductor. When I moved into my house the mice had the insulation chewed back 2 1/2 feet from the fixtures in the attic. It’s cheep insurance on such a large investment.

are you shure you want the whole house lit up at night? the neighbors porch light annoys me and that thing barley casts a shadow in my room.
Those extra wires are for the 0-10 volt dimming control circuit. You need a controller if you want the ability to control them from a phone.
Just drill a 1/8" hole from the inside to verify you are in a suitable location, if it isn't just put a screw in the hole and move on.
.....meanwhile in Australia, dont leave a can of drink in your hot car or it might explode. Ask me how I know..!!
Cans of pop also explode if they've fallen and rolled around a minute or two on the floor. The back of my newly shampooed head of hair can testify to that.
Hi Cole you could use a thermal imager to find that 2x4 think there is an app for that . The lights look good :). You may need to buy your across the road neighbor some black out blinds.

We've had what they call a dusk to dawn LED light bulb on our front porch for a couple of years now and really have enjoyed having it. We just have to leave the switch on inside all the time, and the light bulb automatically turns itself on at dusk and off at dawn. I've thought about putting one of those light bulbs in the back porch lighting fixture too, but just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Probably will though.

I think he said 210 Watts. 5 hours for 1Kwh. I dunno his rates. Probably somewhere between $0.10 - $0.30 per kWh. If it's 300 Watts $0.03 - $0.10 and if it's 210 Watts $0.02 - $0.06 per hour. Split the difference, round it out, ball park it and call it a nickle per hour.
What an opportunity to save while lighting your area's. A great bargain on efficiency, of the electrical overhead too! 👌 "Thanks", for the feedback.

Lights are cool I would want to be able to turn the one facing the house off and on as I would not be able to sleep with all that light but it is definitely nice to be able to see around the farm at night!
Hey Cole, there is Nifty Lift and several other really good self-propelled manlifts that you seem to need a lot, what with going atop those silos and all of the other up high jobs you do. I'm sharing this as a guy that owned an arborist company for a lot of years and working up high and that jury-rig step/ladder on the back of the pickup truck is how people get killed or disabled for life.

Maybe try to see if you could sell some of those old vehicles, some people need parts or they can build rat rods out of them and the old cars and trucks are hard to find

That's 16k gross cole. That's the weight it's designed to haul trailer weight included. My guess is that skid steer is all of 12k lbs

I'm a big fan of those lights. I plastered about a dozen over the front of an apartment complex and the parking lot looks like day.
